CrowdCompass is a versatile app that is widely used by event attendees to access schedules, event information, and communicate with organizers. Users have reported that the app offers a unique and interactive experience, making networking more enjoyable at events. The advanced functionalities and mission-critical security components of CrowdCompass have made it a preferred choice for Siemens AG and its subdivisions. One of the key benefits of the app is its ability to easily download and load event information across various platforms, making it convenient for users.
The use cases of CrowdCompass are extensive, ranging from regional to global events. It provides valuable information on schedules, sessions, handouts, event communications, and even social media engagement. The app supports gamification features, custom content creation, and personalized schedules for specific groups. This has proven to be particularly useful for small events management departments, as it enhances their efficiency and enables effective communication with attendees.
CrowdCompass has addressed several common problems faced by event organizers. Its ability to eliminate the need for printing handouts not only helps reduce costs but also promotes environmental consciousness. Additionally, the app generates additional revenue through banner ad sales while providing trackable attendee engagement data. For large conferences and events in the travel incentive industry, CrowdCompass has successfully tackled on-site communication challenges by offering personalized schedules and push notifications.
Integration with Cvent SMM has been a significant advantage for many users, as it saves time and provides real-time updates and changes during events. The software seamlessly integrates with other registration sites as well, making it simpler for organizers to provide a better experience for attendees. Furthermore, CrowdCompass serves as the main source of event information for annual user meetings and conferences, eliminating the need for printed materials.
Overall, users appreciate the value that CrowdCompass brings to their events by providing a clean and usable mobile app experience for any size event. Its features such as delegate lists, agendas, notifications, and maps have proven to be highly valuable for managing events and providing information to attendees. Push notifications are particularly appreciated as they enable timely updates and important announcements during events. While there may be room for improvement in terms of the app's interface, users express overall satisfaction with CrowdCompass and its contribution to enhancing the event experience.
Based on user reviews, the most common recommendations for CrowdCompass are to customize the app to meet specific needs, consider integration with Cvent for seamless registration and unique content, and explore alternative vendors for additional features.
Users highly advise becoming familiar with CrowdCompass settings and taking the time to learn all of its features. They recommend customizing the app to meet specific event requirements and being patient during the initial setup.
For events that integrate with Cvent registration and require tailored content, users highly recommend using CrowdCompass. They also suggest using CrowdCompass for events that don't need frequent changes in Cvent. Easy integration with Cvent and GDPR compliance are prioritized.
While users appreciate CrowdCompass for its event engagement, connectivity, and cost-saving benefits, some suggest exploring alternatives that offer more gamification and connection options. They encourage comparing CrowdCompass with other event smartphone/tablet apps and considering data export requirements.
In summary, users recommend trying CrowdCompass for instant communication, meeting evaluation/surveys, event engagement, connectivity, cost-saving benefits, and organizing large corporate events. They highlight the importance of customization, integration with Cvent, and considering alternative vendors if specific features are needed.

Reviews
(51-75 of 103)Want an easy set-up and way to get attendees attention! Try CrowdCompass App for your next event!
- Incredibly easy for those creating. Easy to manage changes and flow within the integrations or separate. Can add custom branding, information!
- As well as easy download and to find information once you are in the app. It is clean and can show branding and sponsors throughout letting everyone shine!
- Easy last minute changes, editing, adding or removing additional content! For instance it seems that there is always some last minute changes to the room, speaker, etc. instead of printing out I can make the edits and if needed do a push notification!
- Additional features are great; Live Polling, Q&A (great for internal meetings), Push Notifications (need to send a reminder), Surveys (pre, during and post)
- Grouping attendees understanding how grouping works and if you have attendees going to see multiple things but only one them to see a certain selection.
- Social Media integrating Instagram and Facebook, not just Twitter and Flickr
I would not recommend for smaller 40 and under groups as long as it is a basic meeting with not a lot of features being used (Polling, Surveys), everyone is staying together as on group as the system may be too robust!
Easy peasy
- Push notifications
- Customization
- Integration
- Email to registrants
- Real-time changes
- Session descriptions
CrowdCompass is worth it!
- Provides attendees with their personalized schedules at their fingertips.
- Facilitates networking through the ability to set appointments and send messages with other attendees, and inspires competition with The Game and Click challenges.
- Gives attendees the ability to view handouts, take notes and download the information to their personal computers when they get back to their offices.
- The session surveys are easy to overlook on the session detail screen
- When you create a new event by copying a previous event, the survey questions don't copy. That means you have to recreate your surveys from scratch each time.
- On the list of invitations that have been sent, you get an exclamation point next to anyone whose email didn't go through, but there is no other detail provided about the problem.
CrowdCompass - Excellent tool for any size event
- Provides a single source for important event information, notifications, and scheduling/agenda assistance for our participants.
- Easy to pull metrics on adoption, use, and session feedback
- Excellent Live-Polling, Q&A, and resources for Speakers
- Easy Build/Set-up
- Gamification Features - While popular with our users, limited ability to customize or alter the features and set-up.
- Finding Session handouts can be difficult for attendees - would be helpful to have a central hub for their downloads.
- No duplication of events means a lot of time repeating features of a build for repeat events.
Crowdcompass Enhances Your Event Program
- Connects users with one another. You can easily contact and send a message to network with another user and schedule meetings.
- Gives you the ability to contact and reach all of your attendees with important updates and information via push notifications.
- Allows you to gather critical feedback on your events via live polls and surveys. What worked well, what didn't, to make informed decisions on how to optimize future events.
- I think the design and color schemes can be more unique and updated.
- More reporting metrics.
CC review
- Push notifications are great when changes are made to alert the attendees and staff.
- Fast updating of the agenda sessions when our teams need to change things.
- Smooth downloading.
- Publishing the app: we have to re-upload our images for the publishing to complete.
- Personalized Agenda
- Ability to share links, documents, presentations, etc.
- Customer Service
- API integrations
- Live Chat
CrowdCompass is not best for a single session event. You wouldn't be able to fully utilize all the great features with such a small program.
CrowdCompass is definitely worth the investment!
- Simple setup
- Simple for the user
- Relatively modern feel
- Could improve some integration points with Cvent.
- Additional customization with certain features.
- More ways to work with the Support department (can only call or email).
Crowdcompass..is it worth it?
- organization
- tracking
- reporting
- difficult to use at times
- price
- analytics
- Integration
- The Map tool
- Ease of use
- Event apps are becoming consolidated into one platform app that contains events from all the clients who use it.
- No branding of your own app with your own name and your attendees having to download a third-party app with events other than just yours available in it.
CrowdCompass Review
- Only needs to be downloaded once EVER, not once per event!
- Syncs automatically with registration data - huge time saver.
- Creative engagement options.
- Small learning curve.
- Cost-prohibitive for smaller organizations.
Not ideal/not worth it for shorter (two days or less), one-off meetings.
CrowdCompass social engagement
- SocialWall gets people engaged to post fun photos.
- Gamification makes delegates visit exhibit booths.
- We haven't run into something we don't like yet.
CrowdCompass Review
- CrowdCompass is easy to use and learn! something rare nowadays with any technology.
- CrowdCompass is linked with Cvent which makes importing your attendee information and sessions so much easier.
- This app is user-friendly! We have all kinds of demographics for our users and everyone absolutely loves it.
- The Maps feature, while intuitive and great to use, does have a bit of an issue. When creating locations you have to be careful not to misspell their names as there currently isn't a way to edit that information.
- The Maps feature allows you to create locations but often can't block info on the map, so location is important, but depending on your program blank space maps isn't a luxury you will always have.
CrowdCompass will be the rockstar of your event
- Their Sessions tabs allow for live polling and live Q&A inside each session, as well as downloading the decks and connecting with the speakers.
- It allows for different push notifications per group. So your staff can be reminded of their daily meetings, while your attendees are reminded where breakfast is.
- It is really fully customization to your show, you can add as many pages, sessions, etc for what's right for you.
- The game is not customizable.
- It would be nice if LeadCapture was part of the app.
CrowdCompass by Cvent
The CrowdCompass app allows us to integrate the entirety of a program into someone's phone - offering a quick review of all the session offerings as well as additional background information that was not/will not be printed. We have been able to send out special information for specific registration types as well, allowing for personalized communication through a generic app.
- Easy to navigate - it's clear based on best practices from the app industry where to place information, what information to have standardized.
- Very easy to integrate information from Cvent as well as updated directly
- Great extended features - like hidden icons that only appear once you log in!
- Always updating and adding new features to enhance the product
- It's sometimes too structured.
- The help section on the back end is VERY hard to use.
Large conferences with lots of sessions and participants
Great Product
- Shows the schedule
- Incorporates social media
- Allows people to connect at the conference
- Scheduling tool is a little wonky
- The Excel sheet you have to use sometimes is hard to work with
- A bit slow to update
CrowdCompass Success
- Track ROI
- Organize events
- Generate leads
- More user-friendly layout
- Better organization
Premier Mobile Event App
- Easy to setup/build and maintain
- Provides unique and engaging features such as gamification, live polls, and social sharing
- Good reporting tools for capturing survey feedback and attendee engagement
- Additional features to drive engagement, such as customizable games
- Social sharing features are good, but could be made simpler to get more folks engaged. Would also be great to have Instagram
- Even more robust reporting and analytics
Good Place to Start with Event App
- Streamlines the process of creating an app.
- Helping planners understand the value of the app and how best to utilize it.
- Collect attendee engagement at the event.
- Continued flexibility in the build is always appreciated.
- More recommendations on how best to incorporate the app into the overall event experience.
CrowdCompass Review

- Hotel layout
- Back end support
- Messages to specific attendee categories
- Registration portal
CrowdCompass is pretty awesome at what it does
- Linking with Cvent, we can push updates to the app via Cvent so we don't have to update in 2 places.
- With push notifications (both scheduled & unscheduled), we can update our attendees.
- Integration from Cvent to CrowdCompass is great, but the other way around is not 100% yet.
- There is some localization, but only on the parts of the app that are hardcoded; there isn't yet a way to do localization for the parts that one can edit.
Great for Large Events
- Event information available to attendees in one centralized place.
- Push notifications can be customized by attendee group.
- Surveys can be done quickly and during the event.
- It can be a little difficult to get your content organized if you have a lot of pages (it’s not super intuitive).
- We sometimes have people who don’t “get” how to sign in for personalized content.
Crowd Compass is great
- Love that it provides each attendees air travel and hotel information so attendees can have all of their important information in one place
- Push notifications are great to get out information quickly to attendees. Have not had any issues with them not working as I did in the past with other mobile apps.
- The map feature where you can drop pins to show where events are throughout your trip is great. And it can be accessed from a session or just by looking at the map and clicking pins directyl.
- I believe the setup can be a bit cumbersome at times.
CrowdCompass review from a builder and user
- Social Wall -- Sharing internal and external content onto a digital wall
- Personalized Agendas -- Multiple ways to personalize, either between assigning sessions to people, placing people in groups, or restricting access.
- Importing Contacts and information.
- The "My" Section such as "My Schedule" -- we sometimes have a generalized schedule we don't assign to attendees, but the My section shows first in the app menu, and they want to go to the "My Schedule" and get confused when they don't see their schedule, and we then have to explain that they need to go to "Agenda".
- Uploading graphics to different sections -- If we want a section with descriptions about activities, adding graphics and then viewing them in the app is not very intuitive.
- Container App -- Not having the ability to do private distribution for apps, and trying to make clients understand why people have to go through a container app.
CrowdCompass helps control crowds at events
- CrowdCompass allows us to connect with attendees during the event
- Through CrowdCompass, we can send targeted push notifications to particular regions or attendees of particular sessions
- Through Click in CrowdCompass, attendees have a different experience through a Scavenger Hunt
- Reporting could be updated to include, how many people are clicking on notifications, who exactly is clicking/spending time on things within the app
- Visually it could look more updated
- CrowdCompass should send notifications directly to the phone, rather than only when the app is open
- CrowdCompass could improve how people connect within the app
