Culture Amp is a versatile platform that offers a range of use cases to support organizations in various aspects of their employee engagement and feedback processes. Users have found value in utilizing the skills courses offered by Culture Amp on a daily basis, enabling them to continuously develop and stay sharp in their roles. The platform also facilitates biweekly 1-on-1 meetings between employees and managers, creating a structured space for communication and mentorship.

Additionally, Culture Amp supports monthly feedback sharing among colleagues and bosses, fostering a culture of open dialogue and growth. Quarterly introspections conducted through the platform help employees reflect on their progress, align efforts with their supervisors, and work towards shared goals. Across the whole organization, Culture Amp plays a pivotal role in measuring staff engagement and setting culture focus goals.

By administering company-wide surveys semi-annually and other surveys such as those measuring diversity, Culture Amp provides valuable data for organizations to measure their progress against benchmarks and identify areas for improvement. HR departments find the platform particularly useful for managing employee engagement surveys, as well as providing direct feedback to managers on employee sentiment.

The tool's ease of use and anonymous surveying capabilities allow for comparisons throughout the year, enabling companies to track changes and make informed decisions based on data-driven insights. Furthermore, Culture Amp streamlines performance evaluations by organizing peer evaluation nominations and providing an archive of information. The platform's ability to administer ongoing automated surveys and ad-hoc surveys on demand helps organizations gain insight into employee engagement, turnover rates, interview experiences, and new hire onboarding experiences.

Especially in today's remote work environment, Culture Amp proves invaluable by collecting information on how employees are doing and feeling about returning to the office. Regular surveys help keep employees engaged while demonstrating that the company cares about their well-being. This not only addresses retention and engagement but also ensures that organizations have data-driven insights to make informed decisions.

Beyond day-to-day operations, CEOs rely on Culture Amp to assess team issues, prioritize areas for culture improvement, and gain a comprehensive understanding of areas of excellence within their organization. HR departments utilize Culture Amp primarily to gather worker satisfaction survey results, supporting the ongoing evaluation and enhancement of employee experiences.

In conclusion, Culture Amp offers a wide range of use cases that span from skills development and performance evaluations to employee engagement surveys and culture assessments. The platform empowers organizations to gather valuable feedback, make data-driven decisions, and foster an environment of continuous improvement.

Comprehensive Talent Cycle Tool: Users have praised Culture Amp for being a comprehensive tool that covers various aspects of the talent cycle, including 1-on-1 meetings, feedback provision, and customizable surveys. This has been mentioned by multiple reviewers.

User-Friendly Platform: The user-friendly nature of Culture Amp's platform has been consistently highlighted by users. They appreciate how easy it is to build surveys, customize them, and navigate when answering the survey questions. Several reviewers have expressed satisfaction with the platform's user-friendliness.

Unparalleled Support from Culture Amp Team: Reviewers have commended the exceptional support provided by the Culture Amp team. Multiple users have appreciated their live chat support and office hours, which assist with technical issues and provide guidance on survey question phrasing. The expertise of the team in their field has also been highly valued.

Inconsistent Sign-In Process: Some users have expressed frustration with the need to sign in every time they reopen the browser, which can disrupt their workflow and slow them down.

Limited Tracking and Sharing Features: Users have suggested the inclusion of a notebook section to track progress on courses and tools, as well as share it with colleagues and on social media. This feature would enhance collaboration and help users stay organized.

Lack of Advanced Reporting Capabilities: While the software offers basic reporting features, some users feel that additional help in self-service reporting would be beneficial. They express a desire for more advanced reporting functionalities to analyze data effectively and gain deeper insights.

Clunky Admin Interface: Several users find the admin interface clunky to use, particularly when accounting for dotted-line reporting and tracking manager changes. Improvements in usability could streamline administrative tasks and enhance user experience.

Challenges with HRIS Integration: Users have reported experiencing quirks with the HRIS integration, making it difficult to seamlessly synchronize data between systems. Addressing these issues would improve efficiency in managing employee information.

Need for Better Text Analytics Feature: The recently launched text analytics feature needs improvement according to some users who find the attributes of sentiment confusing. Enhancements in this area would enable more accurate analysis of comments from surveys.

Difficulty in Automating Processes: Users mention difficulties in automating certain processes such as file connection with an HRIS. An automated file connection would save time by eliminating manual uploading of new files for user refresh.

Higher Price Point for Limited Offerings: Some users feel that the price of the software is high considering its limited offerings in terms of performance management and HR analytics. A better balance between pricing and available features could provide greater value for customers.

Inconvenient Survey Sending Process: Sending surveys to a large group of users requires manually uploading a CSV file to the site, which some users find inconvenient. Streamlining this process by providing easier methods for sending surveys would improve user experience.

Limitations on Anonymous Comments: Users express a desire for anonymous comments to show which team someone is on, as it would provide better context when reviewing feedback. This feature enhancement could enhance the usefulness of anonymous comments.

Restriction on Admin User Surveys: Some users find it limiting that only admin users have the ability to send surveys. Expanding this capability to non-admin users would allow for more flexibility in gathering employee feedback.

Users of Culture Amp have provided several recommendations based on their experiences with the platform. The most common recommendations include exploring the full depth of Culture Amp and leveraging its resources for maximum benefit. Additionally, users suggest using Culture Amp for gaining insights into employee sentiment and developing focused business plans. We use Culture Amp for the whole company. On a daily basis we use the skills courses to stay sharp, on a biweekly basis we do 1-on-1 meetings with our managers, once a month we share feedback with our colleagues and bosses, and once every quarter we do introspections through the app to meditate on our progress and our goals, and integrate that with our bosses to align our efforts and achieve more together. It is part of our culture.
  • Daily tools to learn new skills
  • 1-on-1 meetings
  • Providing feedback to colleagues
  • The daily reminders are excellent
  • For some reason, you need to sign in every time you reopen the browser
  • It would be nice to have a notebook section where I can follow up on the courses I'm undergoing and the tools I'm learning, and to be able to share that progress with colleagues and on social media
  • If it incorporates all the organization, Culture Amp could offer a culture map so strategic improvements can be made for the organization
Culture Amp is excellent to set up your workplace culture rituals through it. It provides structure and accountability.

It is less appropriate for starting new rituals for your company. That is, it is important to remember that the tool is not the culture. You place the culture and cultivate it every day, and Culture Amp allows you to funnel that culture through a structure that strengthens it.
  • 1-on-1 meetings
  • Providing feedback
  • Introspections
  • So far, positive; great collaborator loyalty
  • A notable increase in engagement and initiative
  • Better communication between collaborators and across the organizational hierarchy
  • Greatly diminished friction
Culture Amp is the first such tool I have used. I find it to be very well rounded and useful, especially since culture is one of the trickiest parts of a business to get a hold of as related to the bottom line. The fact that followup on goals and feedback can be done thanks to the platform is a very strong point.

Culture Amp is currently being used by our entire company. This tool is especially important right now because everyone is working from home. Our organization likes to collect information on how we're doing and how we feel about coming back into the office. These surveys are extremely helpful because you can sometimes feel very alone when you're working from home. They help us stay engaged. Culture amp helps our company show that they care about their employees. It solves for retention and engagement.
  • Employee Engagement: surveys with great questions help us stay engaged, especially when we're working from home.
  • Survey Templates: Easily customizable
  • Customer Support: Great support - they help you with how to set up surveys and they have a ton of experience in analyzing survey results
  • I understand that they're price is very high
  • I wish it had more to offer in terms of performance management and HR analytics
Culture Amp is necessary for your organization. If you're having issues with retention and employee engagement, your solution is Culture Amp. While everyone has been working from home, it's been very difficult to connect with others. Culture Amp has helped our HR team better understand how people feel about their current situation. It has also helped employees feel they're heard. This tool is really easy to use and they provide amazing customer support. This is an essential tool for your organization's tech stack!
  • Culture Amp Surveys
  • Culture Amp Customer Support
  • Culture Amp Analytics
  • Employee Retention
  • Employee Engagment
Culture Amp does really well against other platforms. It's just very expensive for a tool that primarily focuses on employee engagement and surveys. Other tools out there that do really well providing performance management, employee engagement, and HR Analytics. Culture Amps main focus is on engagement. However, Culture Amp is the leader in employee engagement.

We use Culture Amp across the entire company on a quarterly basis to assess how our culture/happiness is... and then we also use the exit interview tool for any employee who is departing our organization. As a CEO, I use CultureAmp to:
  • assess if there is a problem on a specific team (maybe with a manager, or morale, or something else)
  • decide which areas of the company culture to prioritize our focus on improving
  • understand where we're excelling
  • Easy to understand where you're improving (or failing) in culture among your employees, like manager-quality or salaries, etc
  • Anonymous comments allow you to really get color on problems that employees point out
  • It's very easy to use -- the admin side AND user side is so user-friendly
  • benchmarking against other companies of our size is very helpful (and of course, against ourselves)
  • I wish the anonymous comments would show which team someone is on, which would add a lot more color
Well suited:
  • Companies with more than 15 employees
  • Companies where someone is really focused on improving culture. You don't want to just see problems and not do anything about it.
  • Companies where they're transparent about problems and opportunities
Less appropriate:
  • Companies with 15 or fewer employees
  • Benchmarking against ourselves and others of our size
  • Anonymity & security
  • Our culture has gotten so much better as a DIRECT RESULT of CultureAmp
  • And therefore, our turnover has improved SO much as a result of CultureAmp
We havent looked at anything else since buying cultureamp 4 years ago because it is that good
