Cyberduck is my go-to app for quick and easy ftp file management. Uploading files to a web server, moving files between folders, or fast editing of live files is simple. Can take a while upload or modify a large number of files
Cyberduck is used as an FTP to our backup server in case we overwrite, lose, or corrupt any files.
Pros
Easy to use.
Integrates well with other cloud services.
It's free.
Cons
Navigating a complex file system could be difficult.

One artist overwrote a working file before editing a video. It got corrupted, and we decided to grab a copy of the file from a previous date that was on the backup server. We used Cyberduck to connect to the server and retrieve the copy of the older file. It saved us hours or days of work to rebuild the project/file.

It takes care of all our storage services in our cloud servers. The powerful networking system helps us to exchange files faster and secure our stored data. The company file management system has been secure and always enhances our confidential information is under secure server.
Pros
Provision of file sharing services.
Storage of our files in secure servers.
Workload categorization.
Cons
Working with all the features was flexible.
I have no recommendation for additional feature.

Our data being the primary operational product has been managed effectively by this software. It is best suited in storing data in our cloud servers and transferring files across our company. It is easy and flexible to work with this product. It provides end to end encryption of data promoting data safety and transfer. Compatibility with our operating system is effective and all services have been great.
Cyberduck is used by most of our Mac users. Based on how our servers are set up, we use Cyberduck to access our servers while working remotely. PC users have a separate access option. Additionally, we use Cyberduck on the production side, for 10+ years now, to transfer files back and forth between us and our vendors. Any time an ftp address is shared or needed, we're using Cyberduck. Having one app that an do all of this creates simplicity and a streamlined workflow.
Pros
Transferring of files is quick and simple.
The interface is easy to use and understand.
The setting up of new ftp sites is straight forward.
Cons
Some might want a more flashy interface, but I like the basic folder structure appearance.
If anything, maybe just the ability to change from a list view to an icon view.

Any time you need or want to use an ftp client, an app such as Cyberduck is perfectly suited. I feel it works best when you're working with another business or vendor. If you need to send files to a client that are too large for email, I typically use WeTransfer, but mainly because you don't need to sign in to use that.
I use Cyberduck to manage file storage for digital products that we create. When a product is finished, it gets uploaded to our secure server and I do that myself through Cyberduck. Nobody else in the organization does this task--just myself.
I also use it to get download links to these files, so we can place them in product purchases and give them to clients who we've created custom products for.
This solves the problem of file management because I can use it like a simple FTP app. I find it much easier and faster than using Google Drive for the same tasks.
Pros
File uploads are exceptionally easy. Just pick the server you want to upload something to, and drag/drop the file(s). Simple.
File downloads are also easy--just right-click on a file and click the "Download" option.
It is also easy to create folders on your servers. It works the same way as creating new folders on your local machine.
Cons
It could be a lot easier to grab a download link. Currently you have to right-click, scroll to "Copy URL," and then pick your desired version of the download URL. There are WAY too many options, and it makes it difficult. I have never needed any option other than the HTTPS version of the URL. So it's overly complicated when it doesn't need to be.
There are at times completely unnecessary alert messages that pop up. Usually when connecting to a server to upload a file it will pop up a message that says the connection has been verified and it's safe to continue uploading. It's really unnecessary and annoying to have to dismiss it every time.
I think the UI could be a little less cramped. Everything is so close together--really feels like a dated UI. If items were just a bit more spaced out, it would improve the UI significantly.

Really the only scenarios that I can think of that make Cyberduck a must-have are the ones I have already stated. File management on a remote server (such as Amazon S3) is what I use Cyberduck for, and therefore that's all I can really recommend it to be used for.
We use Cyberduck to manage our website (Wordpress cms) and podcast files on our server. Currently, there is one person using the platform on a single server. Using Cyberduck has allowed us to avoid using clunky, online file transfer services, and streamlines our workflow, saving time and confusion.
Pros
Bookmarked connections make for quick connections.
Clear, intuitive interface.
Cons
When entering incorrect information, it can be difficult to realize what's not working.
The ability to see only one "layer" while navigating can be limiting.
Likelihood to Recommend
The free platform can't be beat. It's much easier to use than some other freeware programs. For basic users, this has more than enough power to get the job done. If you're looking for a program that would be able to manage backups (especially for a CMS platform) this could be limiting.
Cyberduck is being used by various members of our IT department (all with differing levels of technical background). Cyberduck is mainly used as a simple FTP tool (on Windows OS). Specifically, Cyberduck helps us retrieve encrypted or
non-encrypted files from external parties, an activity that comes in handy when an automated interface fails, or when testing file exchanges as part of a new vendor process. Being able to directly connect to external servers and retrieve files, as well as drop files on our own servers, is ideal for communicating with third parties (especially when ad hoc transferring) and not relying on automated batch processes.
Pros
Easy to install right after download, with a simplified UI for navigation.
Drag-and-drop view on the UI is easily understandable for any level of technical expertise.
Cons
The complexity in trying to configure and store SSH is odd for an FTP tool and probably the main drawback of Cyberduck.
Loads slowly and, at times, seems to have a slower transfer (upload/download) rate than other FTP applications.
Likelihood to Recommend
Cyberduck is well-suited for the beginner user, though it can also be leveraged by others with increased skill level. The easy-to-navigate, non-cluttered UI is suited for those who really just need to exchange files with a third party vendor every now and then. The ability to edit documents within the application itself is also a key feature, as this means you do not need to waste time downloading a document, editing, and then saving and reuploading it.
Being freeware while also having decent technical support from an active online community means it's a great alternative to any non-free product and for any organization watching costs closely. Compared to other FTP apps out there (I'm looking at you, FileZilla...), Cyberduck does not come with bloatware that causes unnecessary pop-ups and slowdowns.
