Great product for personal use

Rating: 10 out of 10

I am using Dashlane independently from my organization. Since our work and personal lives often merge, I have had trouble remembering my passwords across my devices. I [use] Dashlane to store passwords to my personal logins, so that I can access my accounts across my various devices with ease. It has helped me with the hassle and security risk of writing them down in a journal.
  • Suggested complex passwords.
  • Shows you data on how many of your accounts are using the same password.
Cons
  • It sometimes saves duplicates of logins if something was 1 character off. I would ideally like to see it suggest to remove one of the logins or merge the accounts if the info is the same.
Dashlane is great for centralizing all of your accounts and keeping all the logins information in one location for anyone who easily misplaces this information or is forgetful. This also is its downfall as well because it is hard to trust any single source of centralization because if it were ever to be breached, it would be devastating.

Great business or personal choice!

Our organization assigns Dashlane to all users accessing sensitive sites such as banks or other PII sites. Dashlane is set up with SSO via Microsoft Entra for additional security. By using Dashlane, we are addressing the need for employees to "log" the password in other less secure locations. We also use Dashlane to share other secure information via Secure Notes.
  • Autofill
  • MFA/SSO security.
  • Importing passwords from other sources such as Microsoft Edge.
  • Access to the Dashlane app on personal devices.
Cons
  • Browser extension is not as stable as we'd like it to be.
  • Easier functionality to stop autofill on certain sites.
  • Doesn't always save new login/passwords.
  • Adding a browser extension in Microsoft Edge - we currently use the extension provided for Chrome.
  • Adding option to choose a paraphrase from the password generator.
One of my favorite features in Dashlane is the ability to add the MFA code directly to the site's profile. In our line of work, seeing Password Health information and access to Dark Web monitoring is also beneficial. Again, one of my greatest frustrations is turning off autofill on specific sites. Also, it would be nice if the passkey feature worked on all sites requiring MFA, although I understand that is not entirely up to Dashlane.

Dashlane Password Manager is still the best choice for business and personal use

We use Dashlane Password Manager to manage all our business and personal accounts for our family business. Most of our accounts aren't enterprise accounts so we can't turn on single sign on for them and have to store the passwords. Dashlane not only stores but helps us to create unique random passwords and passkeys or auth tokens where we can, and share those across our devices. Where an app fails to allow us to have individual accounts it also allows us to share the passwords securely.
  • Generates a new password for each website/app whilst signing up and stores it
  • separates work (by email domain) and personal accounts
  • secures sharing
Cons
  • sharing is done differently on different devices, this could be easier
  • on a mac there is a different experience on each browser
  • updates can sometimes be slow to propagate to other devices
So far it is still the best password manager I have used and between my partner and I we have used about 8 different options and liked Dashlane Password Manager above all the others so when we went into business together we consolidated on Dashlane and haven't looked back. We've added more users, some family, some temporary and its all been great

We use Dashlane to manage hundreds of passwords for servers, SaaS services, social media sites, internal websites, and more. Being able to share credentials with others securely is crucial to our operations and to preventing losing access to verified business resources.
  • Autofills passwords on websites -- most of the time
  • Provides a solution across devices -- Windows, Android, iOS
  • Separates business passwords from personal ones in the same account
Cons
  • Needs an easier way to browse through lots of passwords. Scrolling to find passwords in the middle of the alphabet is hard when you have hundreds. Would love to jump to letters or expand/collapse sections.
  • Finding passwords is sometimes difficult. Since you can't search across fields (seems it will only search one field at a time), you can't have multiple passwords with the same title, but different user name and search for something like "title username". It doesn't work. This, again, makes it difficult when managing lots of passwords for an organization -- it's probably fine for individual users with personal accounts, but not for a business.
  • Sometimes Dashlane randomly duplicates entries (no idea why) and you have to try and make sure they really are the same before deleting one (or you might remove a needed password).
  • Syncing is sometimes slow. I can save a password on desktop, then go to my phone and have to manually sync in each to get it to show up -- don't know what could be done to speed this up.
  • I miss the desktop app on Windows. It resolved some of the above issues and I didn't have to run a browser window to use it.
Definitely appropriate for securely sharing passwords to other people. Well suited to keeping passwords for several accounts all in one place. Good for auto-filling credentials in most places (though it has hiccups, which you realize even more as the number of passwords you manage increases) and is easy to select the proper credentials when it doesn't. It doesn't do well with multiple passwords on subdomains -- they show up for every site on the domain. It's not great if you have credentials that are used across several domains, though you can specify additional websites for a set of credentials now, which helps reduce the need to store duplicates.

We have peace of mind knowing that all company accounts are using unique, very strong passwords, while only being required to remember one.

Dashlane Password Manager also enables us to share passwords securely with team members, as well as revoke access quickly, which is extremely useful, especially when working with a team remotely. If someone needs to access an account, the login can be easily added to their account by an admin, and they can't see the password, which adds an extra level of security. If a staff member leaves, we can revoke access to everything in just a few clicks.

Having two different spaces for work and personal use is fantastic, helping to integrate the app into all online use, not just for work. We also use the dark web monitoring, and secure notes.
  • Provides unique, strong passwords
  • Login sharing, with ability to hide the password
  • Cross-platform and multi device
Cons
  • Admin option to turn off the 'remember for 14 days option'
  • Folders to organise different logins
  • Admin option to turn off 'auto log in' and turn on 'require master password' for other users
I find it extremely useful using it personally, for both work and personal accounts.

Working in a team environment, it's very useful for sharing login information.
