What is DataMotion?
DataMotion's API and pre-built secure email, messaging, and document exchange solutions are designed to make it easy to exchange sensitive, regulated data between people, applications, and systems. With an AES encrypted “governed” database core and a “trust no one” design, the company’s APIs and pre-built services support compliance with rigorous corporate policies and government regulations, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CJIS, FINRA, and more.
The vendor states that because most encryption services can be hard to use (with too many steps, logins, keys and codes to manage), DataMotion services have evolved to address those end user complaints, without sacrificing security in the process. They describe their services as easy for senders, easy for recipients, easy for mobile users, and better for business.

Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with this feature of DataMotion. But, I am more than positive that it would be effortless for users to use other applications, business systems, and portals through DataMotion. At the moment my department does not benefit from these APIs that DataMotion provides to customers.

We are looking forward to integrate our data backup portal with DataMotion, but due to some technical bottlenecks, the project is still in the pipeline. Overall DataMotion offers a lot of integration opportunities other than just secure email, and that's really a plus point for this product comparing to other competitors.

Trustworthy and easy-to-use system
I think that more people would use DataMotion at my organization if there were better integration into our main portals. It feels a bit clunky and cumbersome to use the DataMotion technology as is. The benefits of using the technology is obvious, in my opinion, but there could be more improvement - especially as more organizations face phishing attacks and spam emails.

Data Security that users can and should use
Not to my knowledge. The only integration is with email notification and file attachment open notifications when an email is opened or [an] email's attachment is opened by a user of the email. Whenever I send an email to someone and it gets opened I get a message and when the attachment is opened, I get a separate email. I assume that's an integration that's been set up.
