sometimes it is hard to find specific job titles or do a search based on specific job titles. where D&B Hoovers excels is the amount of contacts you can export per company. Sometimes they are good contacts, sometimes not but generally the information is accurate - just perhaps not the key contact that you need.

The data is rich, albeit sometimes out of date. In some cases I come to learn that the employee I’m looking for retired or left years ago. I have recently discovered that the LinkedIn profile link can further help me determine whether the person I am seeking is still in the position that is listed in D&B Hoovers. If the person has moved on to a new company, LinkedIn can help me find where they have gone and then I can search for the new company in D&B Hoovers and reach the person in their new role.

Ok at best - I dont try to use it b.c. there are a lot of better options out there and they price themselves like they are a leader. Over the past couple years, Hoovers has gotten better in this area, but they are still not a leader in this space. Last time I addressed this issue with my contact at Hoovers, they acknowledged this is an area of weakness they are working on.

No. Many times, there aren't any email, mobile, or correct LinkedIn links. My search fields are for company or for the first/last name of the individual. When using Bombora Intent, I narrow it down to the specific department & it still doesn't provide the most current information of the individuals at the company.

We have found that the contact data can be outdated. While the information listed on a contact is usually accurate, many times the contact no longer works at that business. The job titles can also be incorrect. For example, the D&B on our company has many contacts that are no longer with the company or have titles that don't exist. Granted, there are many correct contacts, but it just shows that we need to do a second check through LinkedIn or another database to verify the information.

The richness of the content is great. When I send out email blasts based on the contact information in D&B Hoovers, our bounce rates are very low. I do still see room for improvement but I am confident I am reaching my target customer with the information provided by D&B Hoovers.

Sometimes while searching a common name, too many groups of similar names populate. If the company name is abc tool company the search will bring up abc (everything else). An exact match on search words would be helpful. Other keyword highlights could help solve this issue. If it's abc tools I enter into the search, that's what should come up in results

Indeed, they offer the fields and filters I would expect to have available. However, when I drilled down through those specific selects, I found that much of the personally identifiable information related to particular individuals Is best lacking. Still, very often, or more often than not, it's simply wrong—many, many, many, many, many, many incorrect, inaccurate, or even spam trap emails. They need to clean up their email verification, and add an engagement number that reflects the time of the day on specific days in the week that people engage with specific types of emails.

Unfortunately, we do not use this feature with Hoovers. I tried looking into it once and I believe it is either because we do not have enough lines for this type of download or because we were doubtful on some of the accuracy of the contacts. We really use the Hoovers tool for anything related with companies.

Yes, this database has ample of contact details of executives and easily searchable and user friendly filters they have. Sometimes we have to create the leads and found the contact details of target company executives. We can easily create the list and then easily found the contact information like their e-mail IDs and their direct or business number.

I use the tool to see where people work, where the company is located and role the contact is currently in. I don't use any personal contact data beyond that. The few times I have clicked in on people it seems that the data is of good quality and recent.
