It started out being used by just myself, then after showing my company how easy it was to use and how it benefited not only our company but the parents, students, and other organizations we work with, it was a no brainer. My company decided to begin using DocuSign throughout. It has been a wonderful addition to our company and saved me (and others) countless hours, money, and relieved a lot of stress in getting our documents signed quickly and efficiently. Sometimes I have to give a bit of direction to the people/organizations we send DocuSign to, but overall, it is very simple for everyone to use.
  • Ease of sending the same document out to multiple recipients, at multiple locations, for multiple signatures
  • Quick turnaround - once the recipient signs the document, we receive notification and the document back immediately
  • Can resend, alter, change, and/or add to the email and/or document that is sent out very easily
  • The recipient can save the document after signing, so they too have their own electronic copy for their records
Cons
  • Until you get used to the size/area for signatures, you can accidentally overcrowd the signature area if there are multiple signatures
  • Some recipients have stated that they have no problem with the signature or date sections, but are confused as to how to navigate to a check a box
  • Until I played around with the program, I didn't see any specific instruction that told me I could just click a box and have multiple documents sent out in no particular order; at first, I thought they went out in the order I put them in. It took trial and error to learn that by clicking certain boxes, they can go out in any order, and then I can just remind one or two people to sign, not everyone
Where several of our companies facilities are located, we are very remote on military bases. So, using regular postal service to get our paperwork out wasn't a good option and was very time-consuming. It also wasn't very secure or a 'sure thing' that the paperwork would get to where it needed to go. So, DocuSign is a HUGE timesaver and money saver. Our parents can't come to our site, so we needed an efficient way to get our paperwork signed within our legal timeframe without being near the recipients. DocuSign fit the bill, and we love it!

Used situationally and departmentally depending on context and which customer, etc. we are working with. For new business, customers we don't have existing relationships with, independent contractors / consumers, DocuSign is a clear way to generate documents and digital track their signatures. More advanced legal documents we require physical signatures but generally speaking, digital signing works for many documents
  • generation
  • signature tracking
  • ease of use
Cons
  • nothing in particular
works great in general, easy to use and versatile. more advanced / complicated / high level legal documents may require more specific software or physical signatures depending on context but for normal use and document signature confirmation, DocuSign meets all needs

We use DocuSign for a number of reasons. One big part is vendor contracts and the ease of use is great, every vendor we work with is familiar with it so that makes the adoption easy. We also use it with our customers to have them sign forms when they are on the phone with sales. This provides a quick turnaround time.
  • Easy to sign docs if you have account or not
  • Proof of signature is great
  • Easy to create custom docs to sign
Cons
  • Layout and format are a little dry, use more colors
  • Better dashboard controls
  • Custom signatures when signing
Industry leader so everyone uses it making it easy for all to understand and accept. We use it for vendor contracts and it is very easy to make revisions and send things back and forth. Also use it for customers when we need their signature/approval on certain forms in order to move forward in sales process.

Easy to use; faciliates easy signature exchange between numerous parties.

We use DocuSign nearly daily to easily transfer signatures for transaction closings. This even allows us to transfer signatures in real time with escrow agents, all purchase parties and consultants with complete ease. We also appreciate that we can send the pages to clients with DocuSign's simple signing instructions to avoid confusion.
  • Efficiency.
  • User friendly.
  • Various functions.
Cons
  • Signature styles.
  • Signature tracking in bulk.
  • Signature page creation.
Very well suited for small to large scale signature sharing between multiple parties. We use this for our closings of large-scale private equity mergers and acquisitions and all sides appreciate the efficiency and ease of use that is so typical to DocuSign's products -- truly the leader in the eSignature industry.

Great for on the go and easy to use

[DocuSign] is used by real estate professionals to share purchase agreements and any documents that need to be signed but cannot be done in person. It is also used by title companies and administrators to share documents that need to be signed in a timely fashion by buyers, sellers, agent and lenders.
  • Quickly share documents between agents
  • Allow for electronic signatures instead of having to chase around clients
  • Being able to send to multiple people at the same time which I am plus time being spent calling and emailing people
Cons
  • The mobile functionality is not always easy to use
  • Having to the visual boxes for everything that needs to be filled in is time consuming
  • Having to create an account is inconvenient
It's great to have DocuSign when you need to send a client a purchase agreement and disclosures to sign but don't have the time to do it in person or you don't have a printer and scanner to used to attain the documents. It looks it very easy to send things on the go
