Drift is a cheaper option than other products reviewed. We liked their chat box integration feature on our website which ultimately led to our decision of purchasing license from Drift. Their onboarding team was also solid and were willing to put in training time to ensure our success with integrating to our sales org.

Drift ranks way up there when compared with its peers. The reasons for choosing Drift are
  • Great Product--It all starts with a great product. AI-based playbooks, specific targeting, detailed analytics, intuitive bot play, and user-friendly interface make it a no-brainer to select it if pricing is not a constraint for you.
  • Customer Engagement--Starting from the demo to their weekly newsletter, Drift knows how to keep their customer engaged. We do pick some tricks of their trade for our firm as well. Everything is relevant and adds to your skills.
  • Customer Service--Drift's representatives are just a chat away. They can literally make each and every playbook with you as per your expectations.

I have used a few different chat platforms, the most popular one being Intercom. They both have some similarities in functionalities and features. I have had more success with Drift and the calendar link/automation. I love the fact that a prospect can easily find my calendar link and book a demo without needing to speak with me.

Intercom was wonderfully built for our support team, and it does exactly what they need it to do there, but Drift is built for SDRs and marketing. We found it difficult to qualify inbound chat traffic with Intercom. Our SDRs ended up spending a lot of time talking to the wrong person, which was inefficient and made it challenging to scale. Drift had the more robust tools we needed to do ABM, set meetings, and do great follow up with people to ultimately convert them.

There are a ton of other chat tools on the market, but the cool thing about Drift is really being able to design the playbook so you filter out and re-route conversations that aren't relevant. The playbooks get the right message out at the most relevant time to appropriately qualify and accelerate meetings.


The conversational content piece is also huge. There are other solutions out there that allow you to binge on content, but the reason I like the way Drift does it is because you can design it in a way so it always fast tracks to a meeting. And the more you can accelerate pipeline, the better the bottom-line results.

Drift made chat cool again. Drift was able to market themselves in a different way, that wasn't just an ordinary chat. The ability to craft your journeys up front that allows you to be prescriptive in how to handle your inquiries was a real positive. When evaluating their product, they outlined their roadmap and their plans around AI and other features. I liked their package and offerings.

We made the switch from Intercom due to a previous relationship with Drift as they became a company. Intercom was great at managing conversation. Drift was great at Automating conversation and getting rid of noise we didn't need. I know Intercom now has these features, but they weren't available when we made the switch. I think, as of today, they match up very close. So evaluate carefully and talk to your rep about the future vision of the software to make the right decision.

So far we have tried multiple other options like Intercom or Tawk.to but for some reason they all fell short when compared Drift. Tawk didn't offer the same freedom of customization and their UX was a bit overwhelming, while Intercom was targeted at a very different user base and their pricing didn't quite fit into our budget.

Drift is the best tool in the chatbot market. If you are going to get rid of forms and switch to chatbots, or at least hybrid the two, then you need to go with Drift. They integrate better, build better, and are so far ahead of their competitors in terms of functionality.

We looked at several products however we felt that the way Drift integrated with our calendars and the look and feel of the product was in line with what we were looking for. We also have enjoyed the team at Drift and how they've been able to answer some of our tougher questions especially when implementing.

We used both Drift and ToutApp for enrolling sales prospects into email campaign cadences. Drift is great for enrolling them one by one and being flexible with personal notes. ToutApp was better for mass imports and mass campaigns. It's hard to enroll more than 10 emails into Drift at a time.
