Dundas BI offers a plethora of options when it comes to connecting to a range of data sources. It is also pretty easy to connect although the process remains very manual. It also allows you to decide the way data warehouses are build (real-time or scheduled). Using the warehouses option, allows a quicker turn-around allowing you to use real-time data in your reports.

With the ETL of DBI you can create and relate data from disparate data sources, like Oracle, Google Analytics, SqlServer, Excel worksheet and more!
The workflow like ETL makes it very easy to combine multiple sources of data!

Great for the major databases and Salesforce, but only has limited connectors for more obscure data sources. We use Pentaho for integration with a MongoDB as that is the only way to make it work. Their generic connectors did not work well for us, only the specific ones that were developed.

Most of our sources for data came from third-party vendors and so Dundas does a great job at connecting to all of the disparate sources; however, we did find that connecting Dundas to various other internal programs such as other analytic cloud services or other analytic tools became confusing and was more of a hassle.

It is quite easy to connect the dundas BI with various Data Sources like Vertica,Oracle,MSSQL,EXCEL. We can connect with multiple data sources at a time too. It is just on click connectivity.
It just takes to drag and drop a excel into its canvass to connect with the data.

Dundas offers multiple methods of bringing external data in and refreshing it. Pre-build connectors are available for popular Web-based applications such as Salesforce.com and Google Analytics. It also supports all major databases and import of file-based data, OLAP, and ODBC. We have not come across anything we can't connect to Dundas.

The out of the box options for data connection are robust. We were also able to build a custom connector for one of our unique data bases and Dundas helped us by answering questions we had in the process and helping explain some of what was required/expected by Dundas BI from the connector.

Dundas BI has a variety of data sources available with ability to build data cubes that allow for ETL process in graphical way without the need to write SQL codes also it has unified data layer where it is easy (graphically) to merge tables regardless of their data sources.

They really did a great job of building this in Dundas BI. They almost make it too easy. I think just about anyone who knows what they want to see as an end result can jump into this tool and create the connections needed to get the data out and into the Dundas BI Tool.

We use Dundas BI to connect to multiple databases, we also use their data cubes and Excel import features. The data cubes allow us to easily join data from different databases that don't talk to each other. The spreadsheet feature is perfect for users that aren't DBAs or sys admins. They can take any spreadsheet and dissect the data any way they want without IT's help
