We are currently testing to see how the data from DY is performing vs. Smarter HQ for product recommendations. Since DY is tracking more of the customers' experience, it is gathering more relevant info for each specific customer.

I have used VWO before Dynamic Yield. VWO was our testing platform and we had a lot of trouble with it. It was not an "end user" oriented platform and wasn't easy to manage. The advantage of Dynamic Yield over VWO is having all the features in one platform (pop-ups, recommendation engine, testing, personalization and more).

We previously employed Qubit as our personalisation partner - Dynamic Yield have out performed in all areas, but especially; ease of use, simplicity of implementation, account and customer support responsiveness, and price. I have also used Maxymiser, Optimizely and Monetate in the past and find Dynamic Yield to be either comparable or better than the solutions those companies have provided in the past.

Now I have a single centralized tool for several things while before we had to maintain at least 3 tools to do what we are currently doing with Dynamic Yield. Having a single tool helped us a lot also in increasing our level of precision and to avoid fixes across different software every time something was not going as expected.

We have not used any other tool but went through discovery with a couple other vendors. In the end, Dynamic Yield won for its ease of use and customer service. As well, another key factor was the ability to trigger personalization in email, which a number of other vendors do not offer.

The data integration of Braze was stronger which resulted in a stronger personalisation tool for our App marketing business needs. However, Braze is limited to messaging which can be brought into Dynamic Yield's messaging feature.

This alternative is cheaper and does its job. They appear to be new and hungry for business and therefore we were able to get more attentions from them. The reporting function is easier to understand than the above providers and we don't have to spend time trying to calculate performance ourselves. The ability to drop a failing variation ready helps to ramp up testing as we don't have to wait for one variation to completely fail before calling a winner.
