In addition to the products listed above, I have also used many proprietary tools developed by the organization. I find Bonterra Development + Digital to be easy to setup and use, especially for smaller organizations with limited staff and resources. Many nonprofits are unable to effectively use tools like Salesforce due to the extensive customization and development necessary to make the tool useful.

There's a bit more functionality that does not require coding with EveryAction compared to Tessitura. Blackbaud wasn't particularly user friendly and I probably would not use it again. I will say that I would want a mashup of Tessitura and EveryAction if I had my druthers, purely for Tessitura's fundraising functionality.

Our organization uses both Salesforce and EveryAction and the two programs work well together. Salesforce is our main database for maintaining donor and constituent information but does not allow us the ability to send mass emails, messages, and appeals. EveryAction is also used within our organization to put together events, a feature that SalesForces does not have.

I used Blackbaud at a University setting, which I believe was very appropriate. The database needed many people that were just in charge of keeping the database clean - so for a large organization, it worked well. However, for a small organization it would be far too complicated.

Much better performance and ease of use, more features, more flexibility.

Blackbaud is a Cadillac, and not needed by most small nonprofits of 3 million or less in income. We looked at several prior to choosing EveryAction. We are very pleased with EveryAction but wish that the training was more involved from a corporate perspective and that customer service could actually help more.

Jotform is very user-friendly and easy to use, but the reporting features don't even come close to what EveryAction can do. The fact that you can schedule reports from EveryAction puts it on a whole other level than Jotform. I have also used databases like Sure Impact, mPact Pro, and more. In all of those cases, it felt like they needed me to build their databases for them. Like I was hired as a construction worker and when I showed up to the jobsite, they told me to plan the building as if I were the Architect. While I appreciate that ability to customize, it is nice having a database that is already the finished product where we can just add our data into it and not have to ask for tons of features to be built in order for it to be what we need.

Both are fairly good databases to use for data. I believe EveryAction has a better interface when it comes to tracking engagements and conversations. Aristotle price is a tad better.

It's completely different in my opinion, it doesn't serve the same purposes as those and is unique in what it does for our organization. The only thing it's comparable is to Airtable in terms of collecting & organizing data.

I'd prefer EveryAction; even the few faults that EveryAction had were not things that Raiser's Edge did any better. I'd prefer this new program and look forward to learning more about its features.

For me, the problem with comparing EveryAction is that it tries to do so much that it's hard to compare it to a single tool. Most of the online organizing tools it is usually contrasted with aren't yet on TrustRadius (e.g. Action Network, New/Mode, etc.). We lump these online organizing tools together as CRMs, when that's one of the functions they struggle with the most. Salesforce's Nonprofit Starter Pack doesn't offer any outreach out of the box, but does offer very sophisticated and flexible record storage solutions and reporting, which is the kind of CRM functionality we need when we're combining data from all these different kinds of outreach. The problem is that, in my opinion, Salesforce is even less user-friendly than EveryAction, and you'd need to figure out how to combine it with one or more proper outreach tools, which could get expensive if you only go for tools that integrate with Salesforce. Action Builder (also not available) might be another option, but then you need someone to build (and maintain!) custom syncs for you. EveryAction makes sense when none of these kinds of alternatives are feasible.

Action Network is better, cheaper, and does the same thing as EveryAction. In all honesty, we are abandoning EveryAction in the coming months and transition to Action Network because we are tired of paying high rates for an unwieldy tools with poor support services. Again, we are a small organization (just 5 staff), and I think the tool is suited to much larger orgs.

EA is more than 3x the cost of Active Campaign! We only chose EA due to their non-profit specific features.. ActiveCampaign uses terms not familiar to most non-profit teams (contract, prospect, funnel, etc.) and doesn't allow the customization of these labels. However, ActiveCampaign does just about everything that EA does, and does so at a highly reduced cost.

I use ActionNetwork a lot for advocacy because many organizations prefer its ease of use, and it's free for basic feature set. I generally prefer ActionNetwork's email building interface to EveryAction's. EveryAction's list management features are unsurpassed in my experience.

Very well, I only used Constant Contact and Mailchimp. I had a few clients that used these programs for marketing products and services. Most of these clients only needed 2000 - 10000 emails sent everyweek. The templates they provided were good, but not always what was need. The tech support was not very good.
