I needed a way to send text messages to those participating in our annual event. This allowed me to send group and single messages, some with custom data based on the recipient (i.e., name, etc.). I could originally view reports on deliverability, and see what I had sent in the past.

EZ Texting started out great, but the most recent updates to their system removed the pay-as-you-go option (we are a yearly program, I don't need a monthly subscription!). So now with the new basic monthly package, you cannot see your previously sent messages. I can only still upload 10 characters of data per field (so if you want to store first names, "Christopher" becomes "Christophe" -- makes me look stupid when sending messages.) With the basic package, I have now lost access to the API (which is why I have switched to a less expensive competitor).

Our marketing department currently uses it weekly to send out SMS marketing campaigns to our existing customers. We also use it to handle our keyword SMS responses. Customers can text a keyword and receive a response with an application link.

We use EZ Texting to send out class and event reminders. It has proven very easy and efficient in getting the message out to everyone with one entry and has saved us a lot of time. I have not had any problems with EZ Texting and I receive 250 free credit (1 credit per person that I send a text to) every month.
  • The text is sent and delivered immediately. This lets us know that everyone is receiving the information in a timely manner.
  • Allows me to send out one text to everyone at once. Before using EZ texting, I had to create groups with only 10 contacts (because 10 was the maximum that I could add to a group) and had to send out messages to several different groups. Now, all I have to send out is one text to everyone.
  • Unlimited group size. I am able to add as many people as I need to a group.
  • I would like to be able to resend a commonly sent message.
  • I would like to be able to receive notifications if someone responds to the text that I have sent out. I don't see replies until I go back into the software.
  • Increase word limit.
We offer 3 to 5 classes a week and these classes are in different locations. Everyone in our text reminder groups isn't able to attend all of the classes. EZ texting gives us the ability to set up a group for each class. It also gives us the ability to create a contact for each person and assign them to each class group (within the same contact) that they want to attend. They like it because they are not receiving texts for the classes that they don't want to attend. They also like it because no one is seeing what their phone number is. The privacy offered with EZ Texting is great.

We use EZ Texting in a variety of areas. Everything from text-based notifications to end users and youth applicants, weather changes, and automated updates for Enterprise systems. EZ Texting addresses the business needs to send/track a variety of SMS messages for any number of business processes. The majority of customers are youth, and texting is the communication method of choice for many young people.
  • The ability to leverage large datasets, send and track responses and opt-outs is something EZ Texting does well.
  • Being able to balance the economy of scale along with certain pre-paid service amounts allows the organization to "buffer up" prior to resource constraints.
  • The ability to access detailed reports about communication efforts and campaigns provides valuable insight into business efforts and marketing strategies.
  • The one area that I would love to see EZ Texting improve/offer is API integration option to offload data and contacts from our Enterprise system versus uploading extracts.
Well suited as a stand-in for providing TXT/SMS solutions for communicating en mass. Probably less suited as a stand-in for small volume communication one-offs.

I would use EZ Texting to send a mass text to the youth group at my church. It allowed me to send one-way communication to a large group of people directly to their phones.

EZ Texting does not meet the need in my field where I am sending reminder texts to many people sporadically. If I had consistent texting needs with the same group this might be better suited after they changed their subscription model. It used to be an excellent tool for our purposes.

When giving speeches it is an easy and quick way to provide an offering to those interested in the audience. I do not use the captured cell numbers beyond simply providing the promised value (link to a download, etc). No spamming; merely providing easy access to the value of interest to audience members.

I use it to communicate important info to members, such as last-minute changes and details. Emails are very good for much information, but using a texting service is an added bonus. It makes us much more effective and greatly improves communication and participation.

Love EZ texting because I can send texts that are urgent to our staff and it’s so easy to use! I also like the inbox and how easy it is to reply on the computer to any texts back. Would defiantly recommend it to other small business owners! Good price as well!

We currently use EZ Texting for test marketing to people in our database. This test marketing in the past has allowed us to refine our marketing messages. We are now in the process of incorporating EZ Texting into our signup process to our website to communicate with visitors on a regular basis.

We use EZ Texting to inform our customers about our upcoming auction sales. About four days prior to the auction sale we send our customers a message with the auction date as well as a link to our website so they can view more information. Our customers now depend on this text since we decided to use a texting service rather than a direct mail advertisement.

We began by using EZ Texting to communicate internally amongst staff. This year we have used EZ Texting to receive general inquiries/messages from the public, and to answer questions from the public during special events. EZ Texting has allowed us to respond to guests when our phone lines may too busy, and in a format that guests are comfortable with. The use during special events has been a great way to provide interaction with our staff at a time when we're working to maintain safe distances.

  • The mobile app is great alternative when a desktop or laptop isn't available.

EZ Texting is an excellent tool for supplementing your public communications. We use it as an additional channel that our guests can use to reach us for asking questions and getting information. It hasn't been the easiest to use for internal communications among staff members, as we initially intended to use it.

I use EZ Texting to invite the registered prospects to our Condo Event Launches. Often times people don't read their email so I find EZ Texting practical in reaching out to clients promptly and effectively with one short text. I also find it less invasive. We never do cold calls or texts, these messages are sent to all registrants (prospects) who themselves have registered to receive newsletters, updates and invitations.

It's also excellent for RSVP follow ups, this tool allows to have a better idea of the headcount and helps us manage the setup and necessities for each event in terms of food, drinks, equipment rental and such.

I manage the memberships of several small non-profits. Being able to easily send an SMS to any group has been invaluable, especially when there are last-minute changes. It's handy to be able to receive replies from individuals, too.

We use it for emergency weather alerting that is affecting staff offices, essentially snow delays or closures. Many of our staff commute long distances and EZTexting allows us to notify our employees before they start their morning drive time. Some of our staff have to come in, especially those in the public safety arena, but the notification process has been so well received, even though we make it voluntary, we have a 70%+ inclusion rate and if exclude our public safety staff our inclusion rate jumps to 97%.
  • Easy to access anywhere you have an internet connection.
  • Simple to add and delete contacts.
  • Easy to create campaign templates.
  • Relatively inexpensive.
  • Time to make contact is quick. For us, about 15 seconds.
  • Additional flexibility in exporting data would be nice.
  • A few more available characters for a template.
We use EZTexting exclusively for weather alerting. Within our organization, we consciously made the decision not to use it for advertising events to staff or items that are good to know, so as not to desensitize them to organizational messages. Thankfully we haven't had to use it for this function, but we have decided to use it to alert staff if there is a potentially dangerous situation at one of our facilities, as we have a lot of staff that travel between buildings.

Our nonprofit organization uses EZ Texting to send out regular program information and client reminders for program activities, fundraising events, and evaluation. EZ Texting has been an affordable option for our small organization, and it has been reliable and user-friendly. We look forward to continuing to use this service for years and years to come.

EZ Texting was very helpful for us when we operated our text banking campaign for the 2020 elections. We were able to track conversations and pull reports. The app needs lots of improvement. There are glitches and not all functionality is there. We find the mobile site more helpful than the app.

Pre-Covid we used it 6-9 times a year to notify people about Events we'd have in a local park. Last couple of years we use it to send a google-made Survey. We sure hope to use it this year for events, starting in May.

  • I like the Template, I finally learned how to use it to make repeated similar messages
  • The Customer Service was good, that's important! And it was easy to figure out how to buy credits, how much msgs cost. I am NOT a tech-savvy person.
  • Make it cheaper for little nonprofits:)
  • Allow a logo image to be default?
It worked well for me. This nonprofit is a one-person show for the most part. If I could figure out how to send useful messages I'd say just about anyone can. The Chat function for questions worked well, very well, for when I got stuck or confused. Keep that up!

EZ texting helps us reach users and new recruits where in this day and time people are bombarded with emails and respond to texting as a more personal touch rather than checking their email. With introductory users and technology, EZ texting seems to close the gap and help our company grow and fulfill our vision by helping us reach more than just a few people.

In getting info to prospects for new job hires a text is sent with clickable contact info. It helps with sending timely reminders and has the capability to save the date to calendars. Every Tuesday before our monthly meetings, our office admin sends out a text through the program to remind all office members of the meeting happening in the next hour. It's a great way to remind office members directly since not everyone checks emails frequently. We love EZ Text at our office!

We send out mass texts to our patients for emergency closing and holidays closings. The problem is that a lot of our patients lose, change cell numbers and change landline numbers.
  • Send out reports right after the message is sent
  • Remind you to replenish your user account
  • The setup for voicemail calls. I have a ticket which has been over a year ago and it still has not been fixed.
  • The set up for sending out a message is a little complicated.
  • It just needs to go back to the old setup.
I have described my issues with EZ Texting in the above area.

Pretty simply texting is an effective way to reach new customers, and to follow up with established ones.

  • Easy to upload media for drafts, etc.
  • Pricing is a bit high.
  • New monthly fee is off-putting.
For functionality, it is very good. Does exactly what it should. I can, of course, use my cell phone to send text messages, but find it far easier, and faster to type, and create an effective text with media using this platform.

We use Keywords on community signage for the developments we are advertising for. Consumers text the keyword to the number on a sign to find out about a home or the community. We also use it for realtor events to text event reminders to realtors who RSVP'd to an event.

EZ Texting helps our agency mass text clients to be aware of appointments, events, trainings, reminders and communication. It's easy to use and flexible to our needs. Once a contact is entered, they can be individually contacted or added to groups for messaging at the same time. The client can reply to the message and it is saved and tracked into the system. If someone does not want to be contacted, they can unsubscribe and EZ Texting will remove them from the list.

EZ Texting has organized our clients in groups and we can message individually, or to the group as a whole. We also love the "schedule" feature to be able to send when we want. Reoccurring messages for weekly appointments is efficient and easy to use helping save data entry and working hours.

It's only good for infrequent chats. if the conversation is back and forth rapidly, you'll have to constantly refresh the app, or select something else on the menu bar, then come back to the inbox. photos are loaded and so small, it's pointless to have customers send them. The images can not be magnified or opened or downloaded, nothing. There is no outgoing signature for texting. Oftentimes, I start a text and have to reintroduce myself. I can't save the contact easily. Cant sort messages easily, don't know who is texting me...

Our church (Hungry Church) currently uses EZ Texting to send out reminders for upcoming events and conference calls. We are able to attach our Zoom link to the text message and people are able to click the link from the text to take them directly to the Zoom call. I have used it several times and only ran into two minor issues: 1) It wasn't able to deliver to Sprint/ T-Mobile users (this only lasted maybe 1 day). 2) It did not let me paste a previous message for some reason. Both these issues were resolved and have not had issues
