Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use FACTS SIS to obtain and retain student information such as phone numbers and addresses as well as authorized pick up information. We also use FACTS SIS to collect medical information, to post grades and send report cards to parents.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's well suited for schools of all sizes. It makes data collection and retention very easy. If the school also uses other offerings from FACTS (such as tuition management or grant and aid), it allows parents to use the same log in across the board.

We use FACTS Student Information System for all organizational purposes at our school. As a teacher, it is how I record attendance, grades, notes, report cards, getting student information, etc. As an administrator, it is how we set gradebook information, send out parent emails, store important information such as allergies, and plan our school year.

Likelihood to Recommend

FACTS Student Information System is excellent for our small school, with only 100 students. As an administrator, there are so many tools (which is a good thing!) but without training, it can become confusing. As a teacher, it is wonderful for all teachers! The gradebook and attendance is extremely user-friendly and I love that it has all necessary information in on place.

We use FACTS as our student database for PS-HS. We use it for billing, grades, communications, etc. FACTS organizes all our data into one central location. Also, because our school is separated across several campuses, it's easy to access no matter where you are. We also now use FACTS for all our applications.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it's good for medium to large schools. I think it would be too much for smaller schools. There is a lot of input required to make it fully usable. This would perhaps not be necessary for a smaller school.

We are a small independent private K-12 school that uses FACTS for Student Management and Student Billing. We support anywhere from 750 to 800 families in FACTS and it provides all our student Demographics and allows us to use built-in reports as well as customize reports for many aspects of student management.

Likelihood to Recommend

We base our entire student data on the Student ID that is produced in FACTS. We create user accounts for technology and online textbooks as well as their lunch account, all based on the Student ID. We also can run many different reports using the SID as the data constant and all the other information variables are available as needed to report.

FACTS is utilized by faculty and staff of the entire K12 school. The software consolidates all aspects of student and family management.

FACTS is a great solution for private schools of all sizes. I worked in a school with approximately 650 students and 110 employees. FACTS eliminates the need for multiple programs.

FACTS is being used by all the teachers in our school (K-12). We use it as a grade book, a lesson planner, an attendance ledger, and for most of our record keeping. It has been instrumental in getting our entire staff on the same page. It is a drastic improvement over our previous software.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is extremely well suited for a school, even for an organization like our school which is both a school and a residential facility. FACTS is diverse enough to meet multiple needs within our multifaceted organization. I don't think that it would as useful in a traditional business setting. It seems best suited for an educational institution.

We use FACTS SIS as our database program for our infants through high school. It keeps track of all student and family data, allows us to communicate with our constituents, and allows for teacher grade books.

I think it works great for schools, especially larger schools. It has a lot of features to keep everyone organized. The grade book is user friendly for parents and can give alerts to parents for whatever settings they choose. It's easy to send emails and texts to families. We also use it for billing.

We used FACTS for parent communication regarding grades, performance, behavior, and other student issues. It also allowed us to post fun things such as interactive assignments and projects, photos of class projects, and other materials that parents, students, and stakeholders used regularly. FACTS was helpful to our independent school in keeping international parents and others informed.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are an independent school seeking a tool that will communicate grades and other performance data well, FACTS will do that, and do it well. It is very smooth and has less "clunky-ness" than competitor products. This software is less appropriate for non-classroom business purposes. I cannot imagine that a tutoring service, for example, would necessarily benefit from its functionality, given that students there are usually handled one-on-one.

In the office, we use it for admissions, medical records (nurse staff), billing, donors, alumni, scheduling, hot lunch management, student and parent demographic and contact information, and communication. The business problem FACTS addresses for us is the ability to have all student and family information accessible to all members of our organization. Likelihood to Recommend

FACTS is well suited to a school that has multiple departments needing to access the same information. A change I make in Admissions is then seen by our Business Director, our Registrar, and the teachers. It seems to be most effective when it is used across departments. I can't think of a school scenario where FACTS would be deemed inappropriate. Even a small school would benefit from the ability to have everything in one place for those who interact with students and parents.
