A tabletop security solution that is the bulletproof glass for your networkOur organization uses the WatchGuard Firebox Security Appliances internally, but also resells the product for the vast majority of our clients. This appliance provides a front-line of security; protecting the network from threats - even before they enter the network. It also allows remote employees and branch offices to access resources securely. This offers peace of mind, which is very valuable in an industry with ever increasing security risks.,Unified Threat Management - the level of security provided by a single appliance is impressive. The WatchGuard security suite covers a vast amount of threats and does a great job of protecting my network. Many layers of protection increase the security of my network and that is something WatchGuard does very well. Scalability - the WatchGuard Firebox T Series can scale from a small office of a few people, to an organization with more than 50 users. Should your needs outgrow this in the future, you can keep the same services while migrating to the WatchGuard Firebox M Series Remote Access - Setting up a Branch Office VPN is as easy as dragging-and-dropping. Easy remote site management is of great importance. Having an easy VPN client for employees to use is also a huge benefit. Double-click, enter your password and your connection is established. The ability to work from home or on the road as if you are in the office is very beneficial. Built-in PoE Port - Gives the ability to power an external access point or IP camera without the need to add a PoE switch for small deployments. This is a nice 'bonus'.,Wireless - While WatchGuard is continually investing in their wireless solution and always making improvements, the Wireless has given us some headaches when setup in unique circumstances. Multiple SSIDs & VLANs setup to only run over 5GHz has given us some trouble. It's not very often that this setup is deployed but something to be aware of. Casing - The smaller T series units have a plastic shell which can feel a bit cheap. We have had no issue with the durability, and I understand the use of plastic is to keep costs down but a metal enclosure would be much nicer.,10,WatchGuard Firebox has had a positive impact on our business ROI as our end users are secure and not being infected with malware which keeps their productivity up. Without the WatchGuard in place, I am sure we would have more down-time due to exploits that would not have been caught. WatchGuard Firebox does require a 1-year or 3-year renewal to keep the security services active. This is very normal in the industry but is something to note.,SonicWall TZ,Netgear Ethernet Switches, Dell PowerConnect Switches, ConnectWise Manage

The Firebox T Series devices are suited for organizations that have less than 60 users. These devices are scalable and provide an enterprise level of security features that can be afforded and utilized by small businesses. If you have higher throughput needs, more than 60 users or if you want a rack mountable solution, the Firebox M Series would be the better fit as the T Series devices are all tabletop units.
