  • Without Forcepoint Web Security the threat level would be extremely high specially if ransomware takes over. It would cost us roughly half a million dollars a day.

Return on Investment

  • Good investment, given the many websites it has been blocking.
  • Return on Investment is different from company to company and hard to pinpoint an exact amount, however, keeping 3000 employees from going to websites not work related you can only imagine the amount of non-productive hours it is saving the company.
  • You can also see the ROI in the time it saves the IT dept. from dealing with computer issues cause by malicious websites.

Return on Investment

  • The investment is actually modest, considering how important web security is.
  • I don't know how to quantify the hours it saves IT staff, but it is substantial.
  • Users know they are monitored and that they are allowed a reasonable amount of personal web usage. They appreciate it and rarely abuse this privilege.

Return on Investment

  • Being a non-profit the cost is a bit higher than some competitors so our ROI takes a bit longer to recoup. I would really like to see better non-profit pricing.
  • The ease of doing a report on someone cuts down on the IT man-hours to do website tracking for managers as we can do it from a central point whereas in the past (prior to Forcepoint/Websense) we would have to ghost their machine to look for activity as well as their local servers.

  • Because a new version of Forcepoint must be rolled out when Chrome is updated, this can have a negative impact. Last year, we scrambled to release a new version of Chrome in order to be safe from a zero-day vulnerability and had to wait till the latest version of Forcepoint was released. We blocked the use of Chrome until we could rollout both products which caused many users to complain about loss of productivity due to not being able to use Chrome.

  • We don't keep an active ROI on this product, but as a ballpark guess, it has more than paid for itself when it comes to enforcing acceptable use guidelines, reducing litigation efforts, and reducing the attack surface by restricting access to known bad areas.

  • Detection of threats on the fly with Forcepoint has saved us countless times.
  • File extension filtering has stopped our less-educated customers from installing malware.
