Visual FoxPro (Discontinued)
3 years of experience
FoxPro is used to develop a plug-in for our stock management software.
  • Treat data from files
  • Reporting
Cons
  • error handling
  • User interface
FoxPro is good for data manipulation from files.
It is easy to generate/design reports of those data.

  • We are using FoxPro because that is the only way to add custom plugins in the software we use to manage our stock.
  • So, FoxPro is suitable for this need.
  • We are developing software in c# .NET, compared to this, FoxPro is clearly out-dated.
  • borland c++ builder, c# .net, c++ and Visual Studio
We are only using FoxPro because it is the only way to add custom plugins into the software we use to manage our stock. FoxPro is a semi-oriented object language and should clearly not be compared with recent technologies.
  • Files manipulation
  • Create reports
  • Pass data to one form to another
  • Error handling
No
FoxPro could be used for systems which don't require the latest technologies.
