It's is Used Accross the Marketing, Sales and Service Department for Smooth Collaboration Between each of them. Freshwork CRM is basically used for Lead Management within our organization
  • Maintaining Hot Prospects
  • LEAD Management
  • Sales Sequence
  • User interface needs to be More Intuitive and User Friendly
  • Tech Support not Upto the Mark
All the Data from the Marketing Campaign is Transferred to the CRM. Here on with the help of Outbound/inbound Calling you Can Pitch our Product or Services to the prospects. It is well Suited for all the organization irrespective of their Size.

We brought on [Freshworks CRM (formerly Freshsales)] as a replacement for Salesforce. We needed a way to track leads through the sales cycle and provide reports to our executives. [Freshworks CRM] allows us to manage leads, contacts, accounts, and deals. We also use it for sales campaigns as needed. This is being used only by our Sales department but as our Support team uses FreshDesk, we can see any Support tickets that have been raised by our customers in the platform as well which is helpful.
  • Importing Leads
  • Allowing multiple pipelines
  • Sharing reports and dashboards with others
  • Leads and Contacts do not seem to be adequately defined.
  • Reporting is not as robust as we would like it to be
  • Integration with FreshDesk is one way - we can see information from FreshDesk to FreshSales but not vice versa
If you are a smaller organization you are probably ok to use [Freshworks CRM (formerly Freshsales)] vs Salesforce - you will save money and still get some great features. I would not recommend for a very large enterprise. It is also challenging to have the support come from another region although they do try to be very responsive.

We are using Freshsales for our sales department and for client management through projects at my web design company in Nashville. It allows us to automate communication so we can send personalized messages to get people to set up calls. Then we have integrations with other apps to move leads and existing customers through a pipeline so it only sends them the relevant notifications and follows up when appropriate.
  • It helps you automate your onboarding process for new leads.
  • It has lots of integrations with other apps, so you can interact with other things like calendars and calls.
  • It's pretty easy to set sequences so the platform automatically follows up with people for you. This is not only helpful for your sales pipeline, but also for client communication when working on a project that requires their input.
  • Their tech support is pretty bad. I think I get a helpful answer maybe 20-30% of the time. I wish they would actually think about the problem and try to find a solution instead of sending a scripted or another completely unhelpful answer.
Freshsales is pretty much perfect if you are a small organization with just a few users but need robust communication capability.

We use Freshsales in our prospect, commercial, and relationship areas. We resolved problems of generating leads with the proper information and integrations with our systems, moreover, we now are able to have a live base of prospects and strategic data on how we can perform better for prospecting. About sales and relationships, we keep track of what negotiations are important and strategic reports on how are sales velocity is running, and the number of clients that renew, moreover, we have the entire history of the customer with us.
  • Leads: organization, capture, integration
  • Sales: organization, intelligent data about metrics, forecast
  • APIs are very simple and stable to use, Zapier and 3ªpart integrations provided
  • User experience, almost no training is needed to use the solution, more over, a great app for iOS and Android
  • Could be improved in contract management (CML)
  • Could be improved for sales with proposal generator
  • Better visual composer for lead history board
Freshsales is very good for:
Services companies
E-commerce
Digital business

Freshsales needs to be improved for:

I used Freshsales to track our new business and set up workflows based on specific points of the deal. I also used it to store customized client data, as well as to connect our G Suite email account up with the CRM so that we could obtain an overview of communication on the clients' respective CRM pages.
  • Quick transitions between modules
  • Seamless data entry
  • Overall "fresh" experience
  • High level of customization
  • Creation of a client portal
  • Online document storage
  • Online document signing
Our company had tried many, many different types of CRM systems and Freshsales was the best. We moved because we ended up requiring a different type of solution. But Freshsales was fantastic. If you require online document storing and signing, you will need to look elsewhere, but not many CRMs provide that, and the ones that do, are not as good at being a CRM as Freshsales is. This is an honest take on the matter. There are some solutions that do really well, but significantly exceed the Freshsales pricing.

For the past 3 years, Freshsales has changed the way we monitor sales, opportunities, and even projects.
We use Freshsales across the whole organization to keep everyone updated about project status and to document assets, from a proposal from an Account Manager, to notes, call registry, and project scope for the Professional Services team. We had problems registering new opportunities in an easy way and controlling the sales pipeline, with Freshsales we now have an instant view of business status even from Freshsales Mobile App.
  • The way you can easily build and modify a filter for a business view.
  • Visual representation of sales pipeline.
  • Integration with other Freshworks tools.
  • More flexible reports.
  • User profile segmentation and permissions.
  • Easy reports directly from a sales pipeline inside a view/filter.
Freshsales is good for businesses with fewer than 100 employees (users). We are a Technology Consultant Partner, and we work with a lot of products and services and Freshsales helped us organize all kinds of sales and opportunities.

Freshsales is being used by my company as a single point of contact for all of our lead and prospect database. We use it to warehouse all of our client and account information and is the tool that we use for all of our calling out for lead and prospect generation. I am able to follow the lead from the initial point of contact through out the entire lead and sales cycle and then once they are a client I can use Freshsales to do all reordering and account management. Along with the mobile application on my mobile devices Freshsales has to be one of the most extensible and robust sales tools that I have used since Salesforce!
  • Freshsales does predictive strength of a lead thing very well. By assigning each lead a score to how many times and in what ways they have been contacted I am able to see at one glance how hot or cold a lead is and where they are at in their buying process
  • Fresh sales offers an on board dialer that is an effective tool to be able to do out bound dialing and to use as a way for your clients to get a hold of you!
  • I really like how Freshsales comes at database management and how relational every aspect of the overall database it is.
  • I think if the outbound phone tool was a true predictive dialer and allowed me to load a list of numbers and just tell it to go by hitting a button that would make my job easier.
  • I wish that Freshsales was a little bit more intuitive with some aspects of their GUI.
  • I think that Freshsales could use a lesson from the likes of Five9 or Call Fire when it comes to the types of reporting that it can execute.
I think that Freshsales is well suited for a smaller company or a medium to larger company that has remote agents. I think that Freshsales is not as well suited for a company that has to do a lot of out bound dialing.

Freshsales is being used for lead management and creating and managing deals apart from other sales activities. It also helps us in running campaigns. It can be used effectively to keep track of open, click and bounce rates which is extremely vital to our next course of action. The ability to set rules to keep the leads engaged by means of the lead score is my personal favorite feature. Scheduling emails by setting rules is simple. In terms of product support, they have been really good as they make sure to send us relevant webinars to help us better after an expert answers our questions.
  • Monitoring emails. I have a great need to understand the lead activity in order to make the next and most appropriate move.
  • Running automated email campaigns. I can set some rules and Freshsales will send a bulk/targetted communication. This saves me time, effort and more importantly allows me to reach leads at the right time.
  • Managing leads and prioritizing leads. Setting a lead score helps me allot my time more productively.
  • The mobile app could be better.
  • Very rarely email templates freeze but they do recover quickly.
Freshsales is well suited for anyone dealing with a large number of accounts and contacts. If that applies to you, then Freshsales can be a very powerful tool. It is also well-suited to anyone who wants to automate the process by setting rules, as well as anyone needing help with managing sales pipelines. Anyone wanting to use it more on mobile would not find it to be very useable.

Freshsales is a superb CRM system that fits our requirements perfectly. Ability to add custom forms, syncing with emails, mobile app, advanced search functions, access to the API if required. It's a simple, straight-forward, but very powerful and essential business tool.
  • API
  • Mobile app.
  • Google apps sync.
  • Great UX and UI.
  • Search can be a little slow.
  • Adding new contacts should be easier.
Freshsales is great for growing businesses as it develops with you, with its functionality becoming more useful.

It is being used by the Sales Department and it solves our end to end lead status tracking, sales deals management, and data analytics. It is our CRM tool which helps in improving our marketing strategy as well. Help to manage the team targets, performance and in which areas should we improve.
  • It helps to nurture the leads and keep a track of each of them.
  • It is all-in-one type of tool for a salesperson comprising all communication methods.
  • Customized email campaigns.
  • In-depth analytics for end-to-end pipeline tracking.
  • Better chat option.
  • Make it more user friendly.
  • Pricing should be more competitive.
Well suited for:
  • Small sales teams
  • Lead pipeline tracking
  • Team management
  • Communication options
  • Prioritization of leads
  • Visualization of leads and sales

Not suited for:
  • Bigger teams
  • The company who has a custom process
  • Who needs a knowledge base
  • Chat-based sales
  • Filteration of emails
  • Who need to raise tickets

Sales CRM was a new thing for us as we were used to traditional book keeping. Freshsales changed the way we managed sales and approached our clients. Now we are more comfortable and confident in predicting sales and setting targets for various campaigns.
  • Lead scoring.
  • Highlighting rotten deals.
  • Mobile application and notifications.
  • Freshsales integration with FreshCaller and Gmail.
  • Setting follow up time and date.
  • Reporting could be better.
  • Desktop application would be a huge help.
Freshsales is best suited if you are a beginner in sales and marketing.

The company I worked for uses Freshsales for the sales department. It provides sophisticated intelligence on the business in an easy to use manner. Combined with other products such as Freshchat and Freshdesk it has greatly contributed to improve the workflow and help the team to keep the focus on the things that matter the most: the customer and the prospect.
  • Simplicity on how you can customize fields within the CRM itself.
  • The lead score mechanism is very effective.
  • The reporting system is very good and provides accurate data.
  • It is easy to navigate and can be easily taught to new members of the team.
  • The price is highly competitive.
  • Because it is in the Cloud, sometimes it takes a lot [of time] to load pages.
  • Email read status is sometimes not recorded correctly.
  • The mobile app is underdeveloped.
Freshsales is suited on all [parts of] the sales cycle. From the lead area to deals won. It is very effective to keep track of all the stages. It is highly recommended for the software and IT industries. Overall, I don't find any scenario that it cannot be used. The CRM can be adjusted to anyone's needs.

We initially came to Freshsales after hunting around for a CRM solution with a sales-focus and integrated telephony– as we found that the system we use to manage projects and inbound enquiry (Trello) was falling short on functionality, such as automatic recording and logging of email/phone interactions.

Only a very small subset of our staff use Freshsales, but it is used by sales representatives for the purposes of managing interactions with staff and prospects, as well as tracking ongoing and closed deals.
  • Phone and Email integration
  • Ability to fully customise the platform, fields, and workflows
  • Value for money
  • Automation ('workflows') need a bit of work. In comparison to other sales CRMs that automatically 'nudge' sales staff when a phone call or email hasn't been returned (for example), these nudges can be created as 'tasks' in Freshsales, but only by someone who knows what they're doing, setting explicit trigger and action rules that don't always cover all scenarios.
  • Event tracking with Segment (or just with their JS library) is a little bit haphazard. I'm sure it works well for in-app actions, but if a user visits your website and interacts with you and you aren't using the Freshsales forms on your website, it can be hard to identify users and track website visits and actions etc.
  • Learning curve– seems to be aimed at users with a bit more technical know-how; so might work well for SaaS sales teams or sales engineers, but not so much for users in other industries. Our non-technical staff have found it to be confusing.
  • Mobile Application– works very well as a contact directory, retrieving a quick overview of interactions, and now you can place voice notes that sync with the web app; these features aren't necessarily critical to our field salespeople. A user will still need to 'come back to the office' to retrieve missed voicemails, update deals notes, as well as place calls from their VoIP number. Freshsales will forward calls to a mobile, but won't allow the sales staff to place calls from their mobile device using their VoIP numbers (or receive calls from these lines).
Freshsales is great for a CRM with integrated telephony, where users are of an entirely Inside Sales team. It is also very strong if you value a CRM that allows you to customise fields, descriptions, and displayed information for all of your Leads/Customers/Accounts/Deals.
It is also great if your users have technical backgrounds, as the customisation and manual configuration of automation steps can be somewhat cumbersome.

It isn't great if you are not happy to use their webapp to replace your email client (It works well for sending and receiving emails, but if you switch back to Gmail and open a sent message it is marked as read by the recipient, so it is important to only stay within the Freshsales client for reviewing sent emails - at the time of writing).

For those who rely on outside sales teams, or want a solution that plays nice 'out of the box', I imagine you might find Freshsales to be a little difficult to use.

In my organization, after trying almost every CRM on the market, we decided to go with Freshsales CRM for prospecting and closing leads. We are a sales team of 3, and it really suits our needs. So far we haven't had any major issue while using it, except one time when there was a backend problem with sales campaigns that thankfully was solved briefly.
  • It really helps with prospecting and closing deals
  • It has a great UI, far way better than much of the CRMs on the market
  • It has an awesome points system for leads qualification
  • It has an integrated phone number that you can activate so you can log and record your calls directly to the CRM platform
  • It's really easy to use and understand
  • Sales campaign and workflows really make your life easier when following up on prospects/contacts
  • It would be great if you could manage the system scores for leads qualifications (like when a lead interacts with your emails it adds a point when it might be a cold lead)
  • Support help could respond a little faster when having problems (we were almost a week with a problem and the answers we got from them were every two days when it was something urgent)
I think it is a really complete CRM, with good pricing considering its features and great functionalities for small and big sales teams. It's really customizable so you can make it work as you wish, and the lead scoring system is something I still don't understand why all other CRMs don't have!
