I have bought domain names and hosting services from Godaddy . They make it easy for me to buy a domain in minutes without any hassle. Their webs servers never go on a downtime which is the best thing . Also they have many offers running at the same time which is always helpful.
  • Domain name purchase
  • Hosting purchase
  • website builder
  • The prices can be better
  • Constant phone calls is annoying too
I have a marketing agency and i need to buy many domain names and hostings for clients and i always recommend Godaddy services as they are quick and they never go down . My clients love the how their website never goes down and speed is always good.

Their backend is a bit confusing sometimes for a new user, it takes time getting used to it .

I use GoDaddy for the last 15 years for domain names. I also used GoDaddy in the past for dedicated hosting services for a few years. Since them I moved to SoftLayer for dedicated hosting services but I am still using Godaddy for domain names and email services. So far the experience is great.
  • hosting domain names
  • hosting domain email services
  • basic webhosting services
  • The interface for domain DNS services is old and not convenient.
  • The interface for hosting donain email services is old and not convenient.
  • Relatively high price for domain renewals/purchases.
GoDaddy is well suited for domain names and DNS configuration hosting. It is good for domain email services hosting and provide good quality basic website hosting services. If you're looking into more advanced website hosting services - you may look into its competitors with dedicated or VPS or cloud hosting expertise.

We use GoDaddy to host our website. Since the website is a necessary part of any small business today-- especially a print newspaper, we rely on GoDaddy and its services. The process keeps our site online for general use and includes a custom template we created ourselves. We took the Blogger platform and were able to continue hosting our custom URL thanks to GoDaddy.
  • Hosting at inexpensive rates.
  • Reliability.
  • Integration with existing platforms.
  • http to https conversion.
  • Simply conversion a bit.
Good for transferring over an existing site. Truth be told, I haven't used it for building a brand new site-- I know that this is a fairly common thing but I just never needed it. For what I've used it for, it has worked well. For a small business with anyone with a little bit of technical skill, it's surprisingly good.

We used the service for Affordable Hosting services for our website. It was very good customer service when we used it. It made the use easy and understandable for us all when making host updates and changes and modifications.

  • Offer free web hosting change.
  • Update website automatically when new services available.
Very helpful, supportive, and full of kindness when making website hosting changes. Everyone I spoke with was kind and knew the materials well. Fast follow-up and good product offering. When I called to begin using the service they were helpful and switched it over for me at no fee which was great. I was so happy with what they did and grateful for them.

I use GoDaddy for managing 3 websites at this time, and I am looking to add more as well. I really like their website builder. I would say the only issue is limited design for videos (i.e. making a video the header on a page to auto-play). Overall, I am happy with the functionality, price, and user-friendly layout.
  • Website Designs.
  • Email Hosting.
  • Tracking Contact Us Forms.
  • Video.
  • Adjusting single font boxes.
  • Adjusting picture sizes.
  • Social media post and email campaign scheduling.
Blogs, online stores, and business pages are great. If logging in for access, a more robust system may need to be purchased. I have created a website for a tattoo shop, metal storage container provider, and custom concrete contractor. I plan to create a non-profit website and a property management website as well.

We use GoDaddy to design, host, and maintain our two podcast websites. The quality of the sites gives our shows that added credibility that all podcasts strive to earn.
  • Website templates look great.
  • Website easy to update.
  • Easy to share new posts.
  • Sometimes the sites get a little glitchy.
  • I wish they offered a way to embed Amazon Associates code into blog posts.
  • I wish the layouts were easier to navigate. After more than 100 entries, it's laborious to scroll.
If you are looking for a plug-and-play site that is generally easy to use, with some great looks and more, this is the place! I am proud of my podcast websites on GoDaddy.

GoDaddy is simple to use and provides privacy options for the who.is database. They also lock domains by default as an extra layer of security and their support has always been very helpful, though rarely needed. You can quickly unlock domains when clients request transfers to another registrar and GoDaddy also offers discounted prices for the first year. As low as ninety-nine cents Canadian!
  • Reasonable prices.
  • Fast support.
  • Easy to use interface.
  • Free who.is privacy.
  • Free webpage.
  • Stop selling basic SSL certificates or at least reduce their prices.
  • Support LetsEncrypt instead.
  • Lower their annual renewal domain prices, there are cheaper options out there.
The domain name registration is pretty user-friendly. I wouldn't use GoDaddy for basic SSL certificates as these certificates can be obtained for free from LetsEncrypt. GoDaddy sells these certificates at an incredible markup. I have never had an issue with domain resolution from GoDaddy and they do provide domain parking for you while you are setting up your site.

As a website developer, I support clients with their domain registration, web hosting, and development needs. Some clients come to me with existing sites hosted on GoDaddy. The platform does not address problems my clients have. Rather, its various tools and limitations tend to cause problems, technical complications, and stress.
  • Easy to register domains
  • Good at upselling products and add-ons
  • Very good at advertising
  • Poor implementation of cPanel interface
  • Complicated SSL Manangement
  • Admin/Support intervention required for many tasks
Managing SSL for domains hosted on GoDaddy can be a nightmare for those inexperienced with configuring HTTPS for their website. The only way this platform simplifies the process of installing and configuring SSL is if certificates are purchased directly from GoDaddy - at some of the most expensive rates compared to other sources. When I last used their Website Builder tool years ago, I experienced numerous design and compatibility issues.

For over a decade, we have used GoDaddy for domain management, Linux hosting and WordPress hosting, web security, and data backup services. We use these products to organize and manage multiple clients, allowing us to coordinate daily tasks in a single, easy-to-use system. In addition to the affordable prices, the system makes the management of these technical elements of our business easier.
  • Easy User Interface.
  • Responsive Customer Service.
  • New Product Discounts.
  • Some Customer Service Reps are inexperienced.
  • Renewal prices can be expensive.
If you are managing multiple domains and websites and do not want to host and manage these onsite, GoDaddy offers a great option. If you are a larger company with the resources to host and manage these onsite, or if you have more complex websites requiring higher resource levels, GoDaddy may not be able to support your needs as well.

I've been a GoDaddy user for over 10 years. I use them for my own website and I also have built websites for other businesses using their products, such as domains and website builder.
  • Registering a domain - I've found their site to be the easiest to navigate
  • Website builder - their website builder is user friendly
  • Email hosting - easy to set up and use, wether in an email app or online email.
  • Wordpress hosting - I have multiple wordpress sites I use under one account
  • Their customer service is always very helpful and easy to contact.
  • They did change their website builder - I liked the old version better, it was easier to use. The new one has a steeper learning curve. And when building sites for other people, it takes longer since they changed things.
  • I wish they gave more space with the emails you get with your domains. I'm constantly having to delete emails because my inbox is full.
I have purchased domains through a few different sites over the years and the ones I purchased from other companies, I always had issues with. The ones I have purchased through GoDaddy were no problem at all. They have easy help pages that helps you set up step-by-step no matter where you will use your domain. I now only purchase them from GoDaddy. They also have coupon codes where you can sometimes get them for 99 cents, especially if you are a new user.

They were the original leader when it came to hosting and domain registrations...back in the Danica Patrick days...the good old days. We used them for every single domain and website that we built for ourselves or clients. Over the years, they have gotten greedy and changed pricing, louring you in with incredible deals then after a year tripling the price. And if you call for support, they will try to sell you everything under the sun, of which you do not need. We are starting to get away from them for these shady practices.
  • Ease of searching available domains
  • You go to purchase one thing and they sneak multiple things into the cart that you don't need
  • The price is great for a year, then it triples on renewal
  • If you call support, you are faced with talking to a computer for 10 minutes before getting a human
The only thing they're good for anymore is domains. And that's questionable now. There are so many other companies that sell domains cheaper and do not have shady practices like GoDaddy does. Their hosting is overly complicated and overpriced.

We use GoDaddy to manage domains for our clients whose websites we build and host. We transfer domains to our account and configure the zone files to connect up to websites, email, and other services, including various security features. We sometimes have to work with existing GoDaddy WordPress or email usage from new clients.
  • To be quite honest, not much.
  • Zone file editing is relatively user-friendly.
  • Bulk transfer tool is nice to have.
  • Support agents are woefully undertrained, even in knowledge of their own products.
  • Support agents will always try to upsell you, even when you're dealing with an urgent, high-impact issue.
  • There's no guarantee of uptime, and there will often be gaps in service as part of normal procedures.
Honestly, most web hosts are pretty awful these days. I have experience with a lot of them, and most of them aren't very good about keeping websites up when making any changes. GoDaddy is better than some in that you can host services with an offsite domain without issue, but if you aren't very careful, and sometimes if you are, making changes to nameservers can cause downtime, even when there's no technical reason for them to, and other registrars have figured out how to avoid it. And when you run into these problems, their support is universally horrible in my experience. Be prepared for 45 minutes to an hour waiting for a support agent to even address your question, taking 5 minutes between each response asking for a new piece of info like your name or security PIN. After that, they are so woefully undertrained, I often have to teach them about the usage or existence of some of their own products. And just to top it off, at some point during the conversation, even if you're there on an urgent issue causing downtime only they can fix, they will upsell you on some product, whether that's a premium account or early renewal.

I have been a Godaddy's customer for many years. I pay them for hosting, backups, and many more products. I host my clients' websites and emails with Godaddy. A week ago I reached out to Goddady support to troubleshoot a webmail issue and while they fixed the issue they deleted my client's emails contacts by mistake. I called them back to report the contact issue, and since then they have not been able to recover the email contacts of my client. [I believe] Godaddy's negligence has cost me to lose a client. Godaddy just said they can't recover the data they deleted. This is ridiculous, [I believe] THEY JUST DONT CARE ABOUT A CLIENT BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY. GODADDY, I NEED THAT FIX WHAT YOU BROKE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!!
  • Nothing.
  • Negligence.
  • Dont Take Responsability.
  • Customer Services.
  • Resolve problems.
  • Fix things that they broke.

We used GoDaddy to manage websites and domains. We utilized the website designer tools for some of our multifamily properties that showcased floorplans, amenities, photos, etc. We also utilized forms on the website for potential renters to express their interest in our property and request tours. We managed almost 20 domains through GoDaddy for all of our properties, residential and commercial.
  • Organizes multiple domains
  • Simple Interface
  • Customer Service
  • Website Designer
  • Clear renewals/Calendar Feature
  • Integrations with website design sites
GoDaddy is great for managing a large number of domains in one place and makes it very easy to manage subscriptions and renewals from one interface. I think this is especially good for property management companies, how we were using it, or possibly an umbrella company that manages a variety of different brands. It is also very helpful in suggesting alternative domains to purchase to avoid someone unaffiliated from purchasing.

Godaddy is an amazing tool. Our firm is using Godaddy to host our websites, improve the deliverability of our email campaigns, etc. We have added 12 websites to Godaddy. Out of these 12 websites, 7 are e-commerce websites and intended for leads generation and sales. All our websites have images, videos, lead generation plugins, and social media plugins. We do not worry about the performance of our websites as Godaddy ensures 100% website performance and provides top-notch customer support. We have added tracking codes( MX records, SPF, DKIM) to our site's DNS directory using Godaddy to improve the deliverability of our email campaigns. In our firm, Godaddy is used by Marketing & IT Department. Godaddy is allowing us to easily manage our web presence and achieve our business goals.
  • Allows Linux, Windows hosting
  • Hosts unlimited Websites
  • Helps to improve the deliverability of email campaigns
  • Has its own state-of-the-art Website builder platform
  • Ready-to-launch websites templates
  • Frequent offers and discounts
  • Provides top-notch Customer Support
  • Limited Live chat support
  • Some offers are expensive for short term
  • Lac of good tutorials
Godaddy is a good choice for Small and Medium Scale enterprises. Godaddy can be found easily on the internet as it is a popular choice. It has affordable pricing plans and bundles. Godaddy is not a complicated tool. Anyone with basic knowledge can set up websites in Godaddy. Godaddy is one of the fastest web hosting services in the market. Godaddy has an intuitive dashboard. It has a template collection, a domain search tool, and a domain name generator tool, etc, for the untrained eye to kick start an online business. Godaddy's website design tool or its template collection etc are not suited for a professional website developer.

I had used GoDaddy both at my workplace and also in the non-profit organization I volunteer at. At my workplace, we used GoDaddy for domain registration and also for the WordPress hosting of our company website. At the non-profit organization, we had used it for domain name registration. It’s easy to use and very convenient for both the above mentioned uses.
  • Communication with users/buyers
  • Plug-ins
It’s a well known platform for domain registration and is easy to use. However in the non-profit organization, when the executive committee had changed, we had a problem changing contact person details at GoDaddy. The registered phone number was a landline, and they were sending the otp to that number, and we couldn’t change the contact number easily.

  • Decent customer service
  • Renewals could be more straight forward
  • Website hosting features are lacking which is why we don't use them for hosting

The whole organization is dependent on GoDaddy hosting - not everyone accesses the admin panel, but we need it to be functional, so we can work on the WordPress sites, the backbone of our organization.
The cost-value ratio of GoDaddy seemed to be the best at the time we chose it and it still is a strong competitor. We need hosting, so it's a must.
  • Cost is very favorable.
  • Easy to use.
  • A lot of undefined (HTML 500) errors occur.
  • Some intermediate level WordPress plugins can wreck an entire site.
  • Lately, entire sites crash and are partially responsive - making work impossible.
If asked by a colleague whether I would recommend GoDaddy, I would probably ask them if they had a better recommendation. It works and is very good when you want to start out - they are big, they are easy to access, and it is generally a good idea to start out with GoDaddy, but at the moment, we could probably use a more personalized approach, that fits individual needs of a company.
Also, SO UNRELIABLE.

My organization uses GoDaddy for all of our websites and hosting services across the entire organization. We use GoDaddy to build websites and blogs to provide vital information to our clients and customers on a regular basis. We also use GoDaddy to build and host sites to see products.
  • Easy to use and inexpensive to set up.
  • Customer service is exceptional.
  • Reliable with fast loading times.
  • GoDaddy's back end server is a bit complicated.
  • First time users get great discounts, but price increases significantly after first year.
  • If you lose your website, they charge a high restoration fee.
GoDaddy is great for anyone looking to start a blog or build a website. You can have your site up and running quickly with GoDaddy's website builder. If you're looking to buy a domain name, create a site to sell products, or simply blog about things that interest you, GoDaddy is very well suited to fulfill these services.

Use GoDaddy for myself and two clients. Have used Website Builder (current and classic) along with Financial App and GoDaddy Pro. Makes it easy to create websites and edit/update. Pro makes it easier to manage clients I assist. Used Financial App for about a year. It was simple and cheap, just not very robust.
  • Website builder is easy to use and has a lot of features.
  • Website builders is easy to make edits with quickly and publishes almost instantly for updates.
  • Customer service is pretty good. Responded quickly any time I had a challenge.
  • Pro makes it easier to assist clients without having to log in as them. Also allows me to upgrade/make changes to packages if needed.
  • Website builder does have restraints on fonts, colors, layouts. Sometimes you have to get creative to make things work.
  • Banners can be tricky on Website builder as there are background requirements that aren't shown that can add a lot of blank space to your photos/artwork.
GoDaddy is great for entrepreneurs specifically in my opinion. It's cost-effective, has good customer service, and is pretty easy to use. It also works with several platforms well. Many of my clients needed help building a website they could manage and GoDaddy [is] definitely good for that. There are restrictions on fonts, colors, and layouts. Sometimes you have to get creative to make something [work] but sometimes you just have to give up and work around a certain desired color or layout.

We use GoDaddy to host our corporate website(s). It's used by a few select people to that end. We have two websites specifically—our main one, and then a Spanish language version because we do a lot of business in Latin America. We use GoDaddy to build, host, maintain, etc both of those sites.
  • The UI is nice.
  • The site editing tools are good.
  • I've had login issues repeatedly.
  • Not a huge fan of certain aspects of billing.
It's generally well known and so you can trust it to get the job done, but there are a few areas where I've been frustrated and feel compelled to contemplate alternatives.

GoDaddy offers a full range of digital business services from domain purchase and management through their small business suite - website hosting, website building (WYSIWYG/drag and drop website builder), email marketing/newsletters, google listing management and more. We use GoDaddy to purchase our domains, manage them, and to purchase and manage our email services for our employees.
  • Technical support
  • Small Business solutions
  • Pricing for domains
  • Data Tracking - Facebook/Instagram compatible websites (for running conversion campaigns).
GoDaddy is a good solution for:
  • first-time, non-techy, local service business owner (not eCom) to manage their business all in one place (looking to build their website, send emails, manage their listings and web presence all in one place
    • The user dashboard for their small business suite is pretty user-friendly. Someone could probably build their site in about three hours.
    • A decent place to keep all business solutions in one easy place and have someone to help them troubleshoot with support.
  • More technically savvy business owners - any field
    • Buy and manage their domains all in one place
    • Get technical support for issues (ex: troubleshooting with CNAME and ANAME records) when redirecting traffic to new pages
    • Buy domains in bulk
I would not recommend GoDaddy's website builder:
  • For eCommerce - the tracking and capabilities are better on Shopify. There are drag and drop themes just the same as with GoDaddy.
  • For people who love to tweak - There are limitations on the WYSIWYG editor.
  • For people who are running a lot of Facebook ad campaigns / socially driven campaigns - It's harder to track conversions and give Facebook the information it needs to prove purchases (any field). We've driven traffic and proved $45k in sales from some of the campaigns that we've done. We had to do it in a roundabout way.

GoDaddy is probably one of the best places to go to if you want to get started on building a web presence. I like how it's basically an all in one solution that let me get all the pieces in place to set up a website. I could get a domain, set up hosting, set up emails and everything else all from one single place. So a big upside of using Godaddy is that is you can get everything you need at once and get up and running really fast. The downside is some of the components of setting up your web presence can probably be acquired for cheaper (or for free in some cases) if you are willing to look around. I still like and would definitely recommend GoDaddy though, their customer service was exceptional. I have used their service to set up two different websites (along with hosting, mail etc) and it has always been really simple and painless.
  • It can take care of almost all of your web hosting needs in one single place. Which means you don't have to bounce around to get support from different places for different things.
  • Their customer service is really good. Their response time was excellent and the people I get through to on the other hand are very helpful and knowledgeable.
  • Their user interface is really simple to use.
  • I feel like their pricing could be more competitive. A lot of add-ons they offer can be had for cheaper (or free) in other places.
It is really great if you are looking to get a website up and running quickly. Also its great that you can get all the components in one place. What that means is if you are a bit of a novice at things you don't have to chase down different companies for support related queries. All your problems can be solved by one dedicated (and really good) support team.

  • Lots of features and add-ons.
  • Great customer service.
  • I would like to see a little more versatility on the web pages. I am kind of limited at times. Customized features would be nice.
GoDaddy is well suited to any small business! It’s amazing to be able to design and manage my own website since I do not know how to do anything technological. It’s convenient to update, change or add anything on my phone or the computer. I don’t think that someone who has or can afford a web site designer needs the GoDaddy web builder.
