I rely on Gong when building an understanding of the voice of the customer, digging into nuances in terms of customer pain points, and getting clarity around messaging tactics used by our sales team that applies pressure on the ways in which our solutions address those customer pain points. For me, consistency in message and tone of voice spans across marketing materials and includes the tone and messages used by our sales team. I'd be lost without the insights Gong provides.

Gong is seriously the coolest sales tool. Prospect hasn't responded to your email? Here's a reminder to follow up with them right now (it takes two clicks to sync your email with Gong). Need to update your forecast in SFDC? Do it from Gong. SDR said it was a good/difficult/weird call? Listen to the recording and find out why/what the prospect is like before you speak with them. Want to refresh your talk track? Listen to your peers on Gong. Always hearing from the same few people on their best practices? Listen to Gong to hear how reps in a different region handle objections, competitive pitches, or explain things. Interviewing? Listen to all the Gong calls from reps currently in-seat so you can hit the ground running. I'm all about efficiency, and my gosh, Gong makes it SO easy to stay focused on the tasks that'll close deals + make you a better rep + it's all in one tab.
  • Gong allows me to shadow reps from around the globe at any time and on any topic, I need help with (pitching, objection-handling, competitive overviews, storytelling).
  • Gong allows me to easily remember exactly what a prospect said so I could pay better attention during the call, actively listen and hold a conversation - all without taking a single note.

Onboarding new sales reps and BDRs is an important process within our business, but we have always wanted to be able to do it in a more efficient manner and ultimately allow for self-learning and development. We have needed to reduce ramp uptime and get the team selling quicker while always having the chance to learn and track performance. The business also wanted to support team leaders and give them the chance to coach and develop new sales talent through real-life examples. We also wanted to track what the market was saying, was the messaging we had released to the market landing and making an impact and therefore increasing our brand presence, and if not, how could we change that message with real-world examples and ultimately drive better funnel and sales performance.

Gong works really well for ramping up the onboarding time of new hires. It gives the team a chance to review a variety of calls but also allows for lots of self-learning. We have reduced our ramp-up time to 1-2 months which is important to ensure we don't create a revenue gap. Opportunity management, we now have key insights into how our opportunities are progressing, and we can overlay the skills of the salespeople with the technology. This gives us clear indications as to how we can manage each opp and improve our sales to win rates and reduce sales cycle because we know what good looks like. Brand awareness is key to any business. With Gong, we can track keywords and phrases or monitor the success of a campaign by tracking if prospects and customers are talking to us about it. This allows us to quickly improve or pivot messaging.

Gong is awesome! Gong helps to focus on the conversations I have with my clients and enables me to review these meetings to really understand what has been said and think about the best ways/strategies to move our conversations forward. Therefore it helps me to close bigger deals and also faster.

It is great for virtual meetings and enables you to focus on everything that has been said during the call and allows you to review the call when the meeting is over. This helps you to really understand the pain points of your clients. Less suited, of course, for F2F meetings and phone calls.

Gong is the best sales coaching tool I have used in my 20-plus-year sales career. It is especially helpful because we are in a 100% remote world. Pre-pandemic, while in the office, you would hear the one-sided conversations of your peers and would certainly take away best practices, but with Gong, you get to hear both sides of the conversation, which is really impactful and a great way for a sales rep to improve. Also, the ability to listen to yourself is a great way to improve your selling skills. Finally, as a sales manager, I can really gauge how a rep is doing by dissecting and picking apart a call, providing feedback, and setting the focus areas for future calls. It is an amazing tool to help drive sales rep improvement.

We use Gong as a self-coaching and performance coaching tool for our sales agents. We use it to track themes, implement training strategies in order to maximize sales and conversion rates. Our agents also rely heavily on Gong to learn and also track best practice improvement points in order for them to better their craft.

Gong is well suited for situations where an agent has had a conversation with a client regarding certain things, and the client calls back denying certain things that were explained. Gong will offer the recording and transcript to track what was said, avoiding legal matters!

We have Gong automatically record our calls with prospects and customers. It's invaluable when needing to go back and listen to calls to identify action items and get a better understanding of what the prospect/customer was trying to articulate or share out internally or externally. As part of the CS team, Gong has allowed me to understand what our top-performing CSMs are saying to our customers.

Gong is used by us to record sales demos. We use it to analyze the calls. This helps reps and managers with ideas for coaching as well as to identify other areas of improvement. The features with being able to see how many questions are being asked, how much each person is talking, and other insights are helpful.

  • The notification feature to send an email when certain things are brought up is nice.
  • I'm not sure what I would recommend to be better.
It is really helpful for sales demo coaching. The tool is somewhat expensive, so, I feel it is best suited towards sales roles that drive a major amount of revenue. For larger teams, it is helpful to see what is going on across the team.

I use Gong to record client calls and send them the recording afterward. I also use it to review calls with clients to ensure my notes are accurate and it also helps me keep track of items I need to follow up on. It helps me keep track of all my customer information in one spot.

All calls are recorded with prospects. Great way to go back to review calls and learn from your mistakes. Also is extremely handy that they have a full catalog of old calls so you can go back to gain insights on accounts. Very easy to set up and use; as soon as the call finishes, it gets uploaded automatically.

Gong is a perfect tool for every sales team. Records every call and interaction with customers which is essential to learn from and improve as a team. The way it automatically uploads is extremely handy as you can go straight away and recap the calls. Definitely a great tool I would recommend.

Gong is a tool that my organization uses to review calls with any clients or training and for employees to refer back to the call to specifically take notes or go through what could have made the call better. It's a great tool that helps to assist in note-taking as during calls, almost 99% of the time, there will be some important notes that we may have missed out. My organization has a monthly review on calls of a specific individual with the team to share the good points and areas that could be improved during a sales call.

I would recommend it to a colleague because it really helps in our day to day responsibilities, especially if we have to speak to multiple clients in a day, it helps to refer back to it to check if we have missed out any important notes mentioned by the client and even share it with the team to get their thoughts on how the call went.

Gong is used in our organization for call recording. Recordings support coaching for management along with supporting tracking of customer trends and driving a consistent narrative across a sales org. For reps like me, it's an invaluable tool to leverage as notes so I can be more present on calls/focus on listening, track my stats like how often am I talking/customer, and ask for coaching assistance across key areas. Therefore the biggest business areas impacted are improving coaching for management and improving reps' skill & consistency - leading to greater revenue generation.

Similarly, Gong is a great tool for peer feedback and individual improvement. I've reviewed my calls countless times and taken away a new soundbite I forgot about and/or area I can improve my pitch on every listen.

Table stakes visibility for deals for sales management, ops, and leadership. Creating alignment and visibility to promote team selling. New hire onboarding. We use Gong to record our calls with customers. As a CSM there are various facets to my work with customers, so having my call on record helps me to verify my action items, and double check on key words used by the customers. Often there are great quotes about our product that we can pull from our calls. The use case is transparency across departments, and providing the individual users the ability to improve their delivery, techniques and learn what to avoid from listening to past calls.

We use Gong for all sales activity. It is very beneficial because it takes notes for me and automatically records each customer call. It even gives me reminders to follow up via email. It also picks up on what is being said and categorizes it at the bottom of the event stream.

Gong is well suited for sales teams that want to increase touch points, productivity, efficiency etc. It has a very clean UI and I use it daily to playback previous customer calls of mine and for all of sales training I’d listen to our top reps' calls to improve my business acumen.

We record prospecting and sales calls. We use Gong also for reminders and integrate it with Salesforce, Outreach, Dialpad, ZoomInfo, and our full suite of the sales stack. We analyze keywords, use transcripts, and analyze speaker volume (who is most outspoken). We use Gong to track our own calls and coach/manage our subordinates

We use Gong to capture all sales calls and virtual meetings. Pipeline management is also a key component in our usage of Gong. Call listening and transcript review are done almost daily through Gong. Feedback and coaching are also provided between managers and agents on the Gong platform. All of these actions are performed seamlessly and in a user-friendly manner, making Gong a welcome addition to our sales tools.

I have found since the implementation of Gong that my sales approach has changed for the better. The very few complaints about Gong are certainly nit-picky and do not take away from the overall usefulness of the software.

I use Gong every day to help me understand my current opportunities and get better at selling. After I have a call I will review it (on 2X speed of course) to see if I can catch anything that I may have missed the first time. I then use it to create snippets to send to the sales engineer so he understands anything he needs as we move forward in the opportunity. Sometimes I even use it to send the call recording to others in my prospect's org so they can have a good understanding of the conversation. The email reminders to keep up with deals are huge and super helpful in keeping me in check with my opportunities. The review tools are also awesome, I love to @ my manager when I need help refining something or when I want someone else in my org to see something/give some guidance.

We use Gong.io to review important calls that we either could not attend or were not invited to. For me, that means I can review sales calls that I was not on to see how other reps are selling effectively. It also allows me to watch all calls at my desired speed and see a transcript of the call. This lets me save time and more more quickly through multiple calls. In our company, all calls are recorded on Zoom for transparency and educational purposes. More recently though, we have had numerous people opt out of recording meetings and it becomes useless when we can't record.

It also lets us tag teammates and at hashtags to tag key moments or phrases to coach our team. What better way to study your demo than by watching your whole team do it as well. It is not useful when you have a member of the meeting opt out of being recorded.

Gong had helped my company tremendously. It is a great tool that salespeople like me, can go back and listen to their discovery or qualification calls. If there are anything that I can improve in my calls, my manager can go over the calls with me, pause if necessary and focus on the flow and other aspects of it.

The best scenario would be when salespeople sit with managers to go over sales calls. A less suited scenario would be when other departments listen to calls and examine the productivity of other functions within the company.

Gong has been by far one of the COOLEST and more useful sales tools I've ever had the pleasure of using. It allows me to focus on my meetings without having to worry about taking detailed notes and I can always come back and reference the call quickly and easily for details! I would highly recommend utilizing this tool if you are considering it.

Gong is the greatest gift to any Sales team - I can pay active attention in meetings knowing that if I or the client needs to go back and revisit something discussed, it is always at our fingertips. I can learn from other reps, research previous account calls, and receive updates when I need to follow up on something. 10 out of 10 - would definitely recommend it!

Gong is extremely helpful for a variety of reasons - not only can I refer back to calls with clients to ensure I understood their asks, but Gong also analyzes my calls for filler words and flags if a deal might be at risk. It has helped me to cut down on using fluff that has no meaning, identify when a deal could be headed in the wrong direction, and ensure client satisfaction time and time again.

Gong is most appropriate for teams that are on video calls on a regular basis with clients and external stakeholders or partners or who have a revenue metric they need to meet. Gong allows for teams to keep track of their client calls, and follow-ups and a deal is potentially at risk. Gong is least appropriate for teams who do not interact with clients or external stakeholders on a regular basis or who only have internal metrics to meet for a small team.
