As a global company, we operate in several different time zones, Gong helps us track our sales calls no matter what time they are happening. Within these calls, we pull out highlights and insights around pricing, different subscription levels, as well as deal blockers and then provide these snippets to specific stakeholders across our company.
  • GONG makes coaching easy with available best practices and easy review tools.
  • GONG makes sharing insights quick with trackers that send our weekly or daily reports.
  • GONG makes reviewing calls fast with default filters that let you easily find what you're looking for.
  • It would be great if Gong had a few more integrations that allow the calls to be featured in smart docs.
  • When setting up different keywords to be tracked would be great if it could have more functionality for other languages.
  • Generally I love Gong so there aren't very many things I'd like to seem them improve.
Gong is very well suited for any sales or product organization. Through call tracking, you can easily find out where your team is getting hold up on calls or what blockers come up most commonly and make changes to improve your growth. Among product organizations, you can easily find out directly through customers their thoughts and feeling about specific features and your product as a whole.

Gong joins my calls on it's own, which gives me the comfort of knowing my calls will be recorded. We use the recording for coaching and review purposes, and the fact that it separates each speaker and provides insights like key words, makes it a great sales development tool.
Sharing calls withing the org is very easy as well, and finding calls from colleagues is a breeze.

It can also be used as evidence when an issue occurs where it's the customer's word against us.

I am part of a very large sales organization. We have about 80 reps, and we all use Gong to record our sales meetings. The software has been very helpful in training sales reps on various topics. The library function works really well, and finding exactly a training call is required. Another great features are the visual graphing of the dialogue being exchanged. We use Gong for our Sales reps to have them record their sessions and take notes of their sales calls to their customers. And being a Salesforce Administrator, I make sure that all of that information is syncing properly once it is integrated into the Salesforce database. But Transcription is not up to mark; some recordings take a long time to delete from the database.

Gong is helping us to understand each customer's needs on our products with detailed notes by our sales representatives and also helping us to integrate the calls into other tools like Rippling, SFDC, etc. I liked the daily report of calls from the previous, which helped me see what happened yesterday at a glance. It is easy to check all your employee's recordings from the sales calls they had with our clients.

Gong is a fantastic tool for training purposes, being able to improve on closing methods, and coming back to the call for key points of interest to drive follow-ups and proposals. We also use it to keep track of deals and pipe health which has been incredibly helpful.

Gong is really a fantastic tool for sales teams. Especially when someone new comes on board, to be able to watch different styles of calls is extremely useful and even for seasoned reps for areas of improvement. Also, as sales reps become busier with calls, it's often impossible to keep track of all the key points, so being able to go back and review the call has made a world of difference. I wouldn't recommend this tool if you're not a customer-centric focused organization.

I listen to Gong calls between reps on the team and our existing customer base. The amount of coaching that I can provide during a conversation with each rep and using the data driven analytics to see how they align with best practices is extremely helpful. I also use Gong when reviewing the growth pipeline across the team and with each rep. It helps me diagnose the opportunities and forecast our business. When we receive questions from customers that we're unsure how to answer, it's easy to comment on the call and share it with our support, CX, or product leaders so they can hear questions and feedback directly from the customers and guide us to next steps.

I use Gong to track and organize follow-ups for my customer calls (QBR's). I meet with my customers regularly to deliver results and ROI as well as to have strategy meetings to drive adoption and ROI for my customers. I like that Gong keeps a transcript of the call so that I can easily use "control F" to go back later and look for something a customer said. I also recently realized that you can take notes in a Zoom call within the Gong app, which is nice in general but it is not able to be exported or downloaded which is a bummer. Overall I love having Gong as a resource so that I don't have to stress about trying to remember something I said I'd own as a follow up, or something specific a customer mentioned in one of our meetings. I can also send snippets of calls to other team members which is great for when I need to loop in technical support to help with something a customer mentioned. Gong also was key for me as a new hire so I could see how my colleagues presented their QBR's to their customers and I could use their presentations to help form my own talk track.

  • Transcript - make this downloadable so it can be copied/pasted/reformatted for CSM's who have to input notes into other systems.
As a CSM, Gong is great to use for customer meeting follow-up. I can go in and easily find what I said I'd do as a "follow up" - and it highlights those key words, so I've gotten into a habit of verbally saying certain phrases like "I'll send that over" or "I'll follow up" so that when I review the call in Gong later, those things will be bolded for me to easily find. Taking notes within the Gong app in Zoom has helped me avoid taking notes in a Word doc while facilitating a meeting. However there isn't an option to download the notes and the copy and paste formatting is not great (as a CSM I have to input notes into systems like Gainsight, so improving this workflow for users would be amazing!) I used gong heavily as a new hire to watch other Customer Success Managers present data and I was able to get insight from those on forming my own talk track. You can make comments on Gong calls including hashtags for easy reference later, and you can tag in teammates in call notes to easily transition off a follow-up to someone else. Gong is great for practicing and recording yourself presenting so you can review yourself and make recommendations. Your manager can also show you some data in Gong about how often you interrupt someone, how "patient" you are waiting for a response from someone else, and the balance between you and another person in calls. I found this data really insightful as I'm always trying to improve my presentation skills. Gong has a transcript of each call which I find to be really helpful but I wish you could download it and/or reformat it. It is handy though to use with "control F" if you're looking for something specific.

I use Gong on a daily basis making up to 30 to 35 calls per day. Gong records my calls and this gives me the ability to review the calls for not only training but to follow up on the conversation on notes that I may have missed during the call. Gong, Hub Spot and Linkedin are the three most important tools I use on a daily basis.

  • Gives my supervisors the ability to listen to my calls and give me feedback on the calls to help me improve my skills.
  • The bad side it does not record all calls, states that you have to tell customers first that they are being recorded makes it impossible to record because my company does not want us to ask the customer so those conversations aren't recorded.
  • Ability to record calls to states that require you to inform customers that it is being record without having to start a conversation with getting approval first.
  • Ability to review the calls as soon as the conversation ends.
  • Ideas about all the features so I can better understand how I may be able to utilize all the resources Gong has to offer.
On cold calls it helps to see what works and what doesn't and how to improve my cold calling techniques. It helps when a question is brought to my attention from the person I called and they feel I may have said something that was false, misleading or profane. We can review the call and determine if it's true or incorrect.

As a IT support person that sets up the account as an administrator for users that actually use Gong in our company, I find it very easy to setup. We get many requests from our users to install and add them so they can use Gong. It is currently not a required software but is often requested.

Gong is a software that our Sales team uses to record conversations. It seems to be well suited as a recording software since it integrates with SalesForce. As a recording software the sales conversations are recorded for training purposes and for new hires on the sales team it works well.

I lead onboarding and training sessions for a computer software company. Gong allows us to record each training and send it to the customer so that they can review the material at their own pace and share it with other members of their team who weren't able to attend. I also appreciate how we can review a transcript of the call highlighted with follow-up items that we need.

Gong is a great tool for customer-facing teams. It's designed for sales teams to be able to track progress with client prospects and review call analytics, which is something that it does particularly well. I also find a lot of value from it in professional services, as it gives us the ability to quickly share training sessions and meetings with the customer. It's also helpful for internal meetings, as Gong allows you to quickly go back and reference team meeting recordings along with the transcription notes.

I use Gong to document discussions I have with customers and prospects, and to go back to the recording after the call to take out the action items. In addition, I can hear recordings of other team members with customers and prospects and understand firsthand the market perspective and needs around our product.

I use Gong to review sales calls and improve my scripts and talk length. It is also helpful for keeping up to date on other deals in the company and to learn by watching how other employees conduct their calls. We use it for sharing with our clients and making sure that everyone is up to speed on the deals.

Great sales intelligence platform for sales teams. Gong makes it easy to track activities, provides call transcripts, and helps me handle calls better with insights from previous ones. It acts as a great repository of sales activity data that also helps teams get better at discovery and demo call handling.

We use Gong currently for our Account Management team. We are on a journey to drive quality customer engagements and conversations resulting in revenue opportunities and growth. Gong is critical in ensuring effective sales conversations and moving the dial of changing the game. With Gong we are able to identify missed sales opportunities, coach for sales effectiveness and ensure our team is executing on sales expectations. I could not imagine not having Gong in our organization. It is like not having water.

We utilize Gong for our sales org to record, review calls and analyze the data it brings together. It helps our sellers and sales managers with coaching, deal progression and provides proactive visibility into potential areas of risk in an opportunity.

  • Easy to develop ways to track key initiatives aligned to calls/opportunities
  • Does a great job at visually representing data in the platform
  • Seamlessly integrates with a wide range of tools including Salesforce CRM
  • Better development of automated tracking of activities in Salesforce, today it creates an automated task and would love to see it create an automated event in SFDC
  • Stronger support or templates for how to get data out of the platform into a BI tool - currently provides an API but not much guidance is provided for how to extract data. This makes it difficult to take advantage of for smaller organizations who do not have a developed BI/IT team.
  • Easier ways to make adjustments to the transcript - when the AI is not fully accurate in the transcript it would be great if admins could go in and edit parts of a transcript for better accuracy.
Very happy with their account management team, the organization creates a true partnership with your business. They also provide an amazing academy for development which is very well organized and easy to follow, this makes enablement very easy for all teams!

Gong helps us to find our best sales calls, and train new AEs and SDs using it while outlining the most impactful parts of each of these calls.It is definitely a great tool that has supported our growth in the last couple of years.

We use Gong right across our organisation, but the main place it's used is in our Sales. The first exposure any rep gets to Gong is during onboarding, as we have created best practice libraries for them to see and understand what best-in-class looks like for our sales calls. After that, our managers use Gong to coach and provide feedback to reps on the score and give comments on a minimum of one call per week per rep.

Gong allows us to know what reps and clients are actually saying, allows our product marketing team to get insights on features our prospects want to see, and also helps bolster our competitive analysis

  • I am pretty happy with Gong overall, but the facility to make calls private can be a little cumbersome at times
If you have a scaling sales team, then Gong is the perfect partner in that scaling motion, as it allows you to know exactly what is being said, pressure test your GTM strategy, and your product market fit. We use Gong mainly as a call recording software that ties in with Zoom, so when we have meetings, the calls get recorded to Gong, and we can send those recordings out to our customers! We also have started using new features such as keyword alerts, where if we notice in a call someone says keywords that would look like they want to cancel, we can notice that easily!

Gong is REALLY well suited for call recording and sharing. What I love so much about call sharing is that customers can search for a keyword that was said in the call, and they will be taken to that part of the call instantly instead of trying to sift through hours worth of calls to find a specific topic talked about.

My team uses Gong for a variety of purposes on a daily basis. From lead generation to assessing churn risk, Gong has become one of the most useful tools for us. Internally, recording calls and using the transcript feature saves countless hours of work. We can easily share feature requests and client concerns across departments, which makes communication easy and seamless. Externally, Gong allows the simple sharing of complex features. Recording new features and sharing those with clients is a breeze. I use Gong on a daily basis, and it is one of the few tools that doesn't feel like a chore to use.
