Google Analytics 360 is an upgraded version of the most widely used web/app analytics tracking tools in the market. The price is stable and predictable making it a long-term product of choice. It's easy to use and pairs so well with other Google Marketing Platform products.

I believe that once Google Analytics Premium releases some additional eCommerce capabilities, it will be the best tool on the market for multi-site customers. Google does an amazing job of fully vetting out new features and functionality before releasing them publicly, so I have found very few issues with the functionality and usability of the tool. Some of the other big players in the industry are too quick to release new features, and they are often riddled with bugs and defects. I know that when I set something up with Google Analytics Premium, I'm getting a reliable, strong product that will deliver what it promises.

Google is always innovating and it's nice to be part of that innovation. With new acquisitions happening around the platform around multi-channel attribution, it's an exciting time to be a Google Analytics Premium subscriber. While the sampling is a downside, the fact that the product is so incredibly intuitive makes most analysts hopefully that they will continue to improve in these areas and make it a true Fortune 500 competitor to Adobe Analytics.

I was informed that we are going to use as part of improving the search engine capabilities and continue to improve how we monitor the use of the website. It is also important that part of our marketing and communications strategy to maintain knowledge of how user are using the site and what we can do to continuously improve customer service. I wouldn't recommend to non-tech companies because the learning curve is hefty but the returns are great. The other consideration is the price. I like the fact that it's one price for all the tools and you are not put on a scaled version based on what you are able to pay.

Once GAP is implemented properly, it runs like a well oiled machine. There isn't a lot of maintenance of the tool and your reports keep piping in trusted data. If enhancements are made to the tracking code, there are ways defined by GAP to ensure data consistency and accuracy. Overall, this tool will help anyone get up and running with accurate analytics data for a fraction of the cost.

While Google Analytics met our basic business needs, it isn't customizable enough, especially compared to some of the other big analytics programs like Omniture/SiteCatalyst. It's much easier to look at the data we actually need in other analytics programs -- as Premium customers, we felt we should not have been limited to only certain metrics under certain conditions, etc.
We also were not happy with the support we got from the GA team, and felt that we were essentially on our own when it came to finding solutions to our particular business needs.
That said, Google is making some good changes to GA Premium, so it looks like some of these problems will improve in the future. New features like the BigQuery integration and Universal Analytics are supposed to make customization easier, and allow users to look at more granular data. Google does seem to understand how users would like to look at data (as evidence by the move toward an acquisition/behavior/conversion buckets model), even if the GA program isn't quite there yet.
