Google Analytics is an amazing software to track website visitors, it's upgrade version GA4 is too good as it already provides event tracking that will give more in-depth information about user behaviour like where they are clicking or where they scroll most. Moreover, GA4 script is loaded quickly over a website that fixes the website speed issue.
  • In depth user behaviour
  • User Tracking
Cons
  • Need to improve application user interface
There is nothing like google analytics, it helps to keep track of user like where they are coming from and what they are doing on my website, and helps me to fix the website elements where it is lacking information.

Google Analytics is being used by the marketing department to track and analyze traffic to our website from various sources. We use this to see where our traffic is coming from, how that traffic is interacting with our website to make informed decisions on our SEO strategy. We also use Google Analytics to track conversions from our website and Google PPC. This allows us to see what conversion percent we are getting from our traffic to make conversion optimization decisions.
  • Very in-depth platform to track a multitude of website analytics
  • Easy to understand metrics to allow informed decisions
  • Great for making reports to present to people
  • Easy to collaborate with multiple users if needed
  • Has a ton of integrations with other marketing products
Cons
  • There is a learning curve if you want to get the most out of the platform
  • Setting up conversion tracking can be tricky
  • You may need a webmaster to install the tracking code if you don't have web experience
Google Analytics really stands alone as the best product to track your website traffic. Of course, there are other marketing platforms out there, but most of them connect to Google Analytics together with the data needed to perform best. If you really take the time to learn the platform you will gain invaluable insights into how your website is performing and improvements you need to make to do better. If you are new to this, Google's insights are also helpful to tell you where you are being successful and items you need to improve. Connecting Google Analytics with Google Search Console is also a powerful way to understand your organic traffic and rankings.

Great way to track all website user behaviors!

Currently, we use Google Analytics to monitor all of the traffic that visits our website. We are able to view all of the sources that send traffic our way. Also, it is helpful to learn about the users who come across our website. The breakdown that Google Analytics gives us is by far superior to anything else we have used that is on the market.
  • The software tracks exactly where every user is sent from whether it is a Google search or social media.
  • The data that Google Analytics gathers from each user is detrimental to the success of our business. It offers unique incite from each user in regard to demographics.
  • It makes it super simple to find out what demographic we need to spend our resources on retargeting.
Cons
  • There was a bit of a learning curve to implement the software on our website.
  • Some of the reporting functions can be difficult for a novice employee.
  • There can be a small lag when trying to run larger reports.
We use Google Analytics every day to track everything about our website users. From what source each person comes from, to all of the demographics about each user. We then take it a step further to see what "user" is buying our product and then replicate that customer in targeting new business.

Google Analytics works by the inclusion of a block of JavaScript code on pages in your website. When users to your website view a page, this JavaScript code references a JavaScript file which then executes the tracking operation for Analytics. The tracking operation retrieves data about the page request through various means and sends this information to the Analytics server via a list of parameters attached to a single-pixel image request.
  • Data visualization
  • Real time data
Cons
  • Mobile User Interface
If you link Google Analytics to your AdWords account, Analytics automatically tracks the behavior of users coming from your AdWords ads. This data can help you gauge the ROI of your AdWords budget and make informed decisions about changes to your AdWords account.

Our department uses Google Analytics (GA) to better understand what types of content, people, and practices are most important to clients and potential clients. We use it to see which attorneys at our firm have the richest SEO, what practice groups are found during searches, what blog content is being read and what is being ignored. GA gives us a wonderful breakdown of what content on our site is being read, what is not, how long users are engaged with the content, and how users are finding and accessing our content.
  • It effectively identifies what pages on your site are generating your web traffic.
  • It does a good job of telling you how these users arrived on your site (i.e. search, direct, social media, etc.).
  • It exports data really well, so you can support and defend your communications and marketing strategies.
Cons
  • I was bummed that they moved some of the functions (keyword data, etc.) over to Google Webmaster tools. (On the bright side, this has prompted me to become more familiar with Google Search Console.)
  • A lot of functions are right there. But it's hard to tell which functions are most important or what they offer.
  • Perhaps this is related to number 2, but the UX is fairly intimidating. All of these tools and subsets of tools are right in front of you, and it's difficult to understand what ones are the most important. A simpler, streamlined format might be a better approach.
Converting traffic to sales, perhaps. I say this because I understand how to analyze the traffic information Google Analytics (GA) offers, but I have not yet reached a point where I can analyze "conversions" or some of the other marketing data. Behavior of users is easy to understand to a certain point, but deeper dives into marketing data can get tricky.
