  • It has had a positive impact on our marketing efforts because of the information it provides.
  • It has had a positive impact on our website management because it lets us know the visitor funnel.
  • It has had a positive impact on our lead generation because it provides insights into the page we need to improve and where our traffic tends to end up.

  • We know what articles and content that we should focus on. The Editorial team can focus on producing more quality stories.
  • Experiments can be measured more objectively.
  • The Sales department can sell our products confidently, as they are backed with numbers and our performance metrics.
  • The Social Media team can analyze which distribution platform is best for our company. Each distribution platform has its own dashboard, but we still measure their performances through GA, to be more thorough and objective.

  • It allows us to see which web pages are most popular.
  • It allows us to see how people are finding our pages.
  • Allows us to see where our users are coming from geographically.
  • Each of these allows us to plan our future content and resources based on what this data tells us -- we aim to create content that caters most to who our audience is.

  • Provides historical data and insights so that we can benchmark and improve our web sites.
  • Real time data visualization provides the team the information required to adapt quickly to changes in trends.
  • Provides a much more efficient workflow than aggregating data from several sources.

  • It wasn't great to use, but it would still probably have to be a positive ROI being it was free.
  • Although, the opportunity cost (hours spent doing something that could be done in Adobe Analytics in 5 minutes for example) could be apart of an argument that it was a negative ROI.

  • Through Google Analytics, I am able to understand that my returning visitors are always rising steadily from just 5% to 15% now since I launched it 2 years ago, meaning these are people I should nurture if I want more loyal visitors.
  • We are a multi-brand e-commerce fashion site, and through Google Analytics I got insights on which brand page visits spiked the last few weeks/months, which brands are having a moment, and which ones need more attention. Without Google Analytics, I wouldn't be able to differentiate between this.
  • It's pointless for me to find specific performing products on Google Analytics. I can do it myself manually through Magento. It takes too much time and setting up.

  • We have not been able to see a great return on the use of the Google Analytics. We primarily use it to improve our communications.
  • Most of our customers come to us by word of mouth. Google Analytics does not provide that grass roots approach.

  • We spend far less time assembling quick views of web data for ad hoc analysis than we otherwise would.
  • We are able to track website conversions at a fairly high granularity with far less effort than we would otherwise require
  • Because it's free we can give access to Google Analytics to all our employees and bring more transparency to our operational performance and enable the curious to discover new insights.
