  • Once the reports are set up, this definitely saves time on the regular reporting deadlines (monthly, biweekly, etc.)
  • However, when you run into a roadblock while translating a current report into GDS (i.e. GDS doesn't have a feature you need), it's hard to work around it. So until GDS becomes extremely robust, there are still cases where it can't be used.

  • Free, so the only investment is time
  • Because it doesn't have native support of non-Google sources, it can cost more money than Tableau
  • The time spent formatting the templates or building connectors can have a negative impact on ROI
  • As a agency, charging for the reporting service is profitable after the first month or two after building the dashboard.

  • Time consuming to build all the reports and dashboards, but are valuable resource for sharing insights.
  • Bringing data together from various sources allowed us to see correlations that may have gone unnoticed.

• I would say we have had positive impacts. Initially we used excel for reporting, but it was not so user friendly, it did not have dynamic reporting and ease of sharing options. We were able to get analyze the data deeply and have dynamic reports with Data studio. Also, with the reports we were able to identify where we were going down, where we were performing badly.

  • Saved a lot of time on exporting the data since everything is now automated so it allows us to be more efficient.
  • Allows to focus more on data analysis.
  • Issues connecting with other platforms like Marketo, Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads, etc.
