Our organization uses Google Apps for Business. As part of this, we manage a deployment of Google Drive that serves as our primary filesystem and file storage location for the entire company. We rely on Google Drive to store and contain nearly all of our company data. Since it is cloud-based, we do not need to worry about failure or local systems or devices because everything can be easily re-downloaded.
  • Google Drive handles permissions of documents and data in a far-superior way to other cloud storage platforms.
  • Google drive allows users to sync files to their local desktop.
  • Google drive offers sheets, slides, and docs negating the need for licensed software such as Microsoft Office.
Cons
  • Google Drive needs more simple ways to lockdown files to particular users automatically.
  • Google Drive could benefit from a "team" feature, where team leads can set their teams directory structure.
  • Google Drive needs better auditing tools to know when files are being shared against policies.
Google Drive is suited incredibly well to young companies whose users understand technology and cloud-based systems. It works well in a multi-platform environment and when the rest of the business assets are also stored in Google. Google drive does require a solid internet connection to function best.

Google Drive is being used by different individuals to facilitate the process of having their files both at home and at the office. Google drive addresses the business problem of availability for our users. Regularly users have to worry about using personal usb hard drives or they have to email their documents to themselves to be able to use them at home. However, it is made easier for users by allowing them to not require any additional hardware.
  • Ease of use.
  • Compatibility across all platforms.
  • Provides availability for your documents 24/7.
Cons
  • I have not found any areas where Google Drive needs improvement.
Google Drive is very well suited for organizations that require their users to work from home, or collaborate on files at the same time. Google drive does a very good job at allowing users to work on files simultaneously along with allowing them access to the files 24/7 as long as they have an internet connection.

Google Drive is an online briefcase where we store all the important files and folders. It is very easy to use. Is embedded in Gmail and is seperately accessible via our Android phones as well via a Gdrive App. It comes with a free space of abot 15 GB. For more space of course you can buy it however 15GB is a resonably good space for routine operational activities. Al our Google forms are by default saved in G drive and also the response to those forms via excel export. I think it is a great application.
  • Great Free Space of about 15GB
  • Easy user interface
  • Easily Accessible in form of a G Drive Mobile App in Android phones and in Gmail
  • Excellent for Google Forms as output and the forms are stored in G drive by default.
  • Negligible downtime. Always up and running.
Cons
  • More free space can be provided in view of market competition.
  • GDrive can come in more attractive user interface.
  • Gdrive needs to be marketed more aggressively for user awareness.
Google Drive for us has suited well, especially for storage solutions. It is a great source of safely storing your important files and folders online. Of course, there is a hesitation to save business-critical files in Google Drive due to fears of security or hacking. However, overall I would say Google Drive has remained relevant for a long period of time now. It reinvents itself from time to time.

Google Drive is a tool that we use to store information. I currently own two jobs: in one, we use it to store data, share information about food projects, and in another, we work as musicians and use Google Drive to store songs and musical editions that we do. Its capacity to store information, approximately 15 GB helps us a lot.
  • Its capacity to store information, approximately 15 GB
  • The programs inside of Google Drive: Google Docs, Google Sheet, Google Presentation
Cons
  • Without internet connection you can not access your files
  • If your internet password is weak, you can be a victim of hacking
When you work for a company and have to work as a team, Google Drive gives you tools to be in contact, all members of the team, online. They can design, delete and edit documents at the same time. They will also have a place to keep all the information they need.

If you are working as a team, and you can not agree, the use of this program can be difficult, since everyone would be editing a file at the same time and this can cause problems.

The best cloud drive in the market.

Since we use a Gmail account as our business email, Google Drive use comes as almost mandatory. We tend to use it in combination with other cloud storage systems to share all types of information without using flash drives or hard drives. Just by connecting to the internet we have access to every document saved in Google Drive, for example, while working in our clients offices.
  • You can access your documents as long as you have an internet connection just by accessing your Google Drive account. No other requirements are needed.
  • You can create documents directly in Google Drive and when changes are made it automatically saves them which saves a lot of time.
  • Documents can easily be accessed by using other Google apps.
Cons
  • Since it works off an internet connection, sometimes it can limit you on getting your documents.
  • There is always the risk of hacking and documents being exposed.
The only scenario where I believe that Google Drive is not appropriate is when you need to submit documents in a situation where there is no internet connection. In this case, working with flash drives would be recommended. When sharing documents, Google Drive excels for its compatibility and ease of use. In our company, it has proven an excellent tool that allows us to share all kind of documents among all departments just by using the internet.
