It is best for getting live feedback. For example, we can get our landing page feedback quickly.

But you can't get very detailed data or do A/B testing. So I don't recommend it for real scientific purposes.

Google Forms is a great tool to use especially when we are teaching through distance learning. The software allows for real-time testing and it allows us to prevent students from opening other tabs while they are testing. I also love that you can see results based on individual scores and breaks down the results so that we can see exactly what the students missed.

Overall, I like Google Forms. It is amazing especially when it is written correctly [so] you can get the proper feedback from other users of the form. This software makes all the difference in the game [and] I recommend [it to] everyone.

Google Forms is great when using it in a classroom setting or for capturing data on a website or blog posting. I feel it is less appropriate when using form for survey questions. Or trying to customize your on templates.

Google Forms is a great application for creating simple surveys, collecting answers to questionnaires, and soliciting testimonials and feedback. Its easy-to-use interface requires little learning so it's perfect for beginners or those less experienced in advanced survey creation software. The design and styling options are somewhat limited, but there is some customizability with the color palette.

Google Forms works really well when you need to quickly gather information and store it in a standardized format. It also works well if your organization is already using other Google products.

If you don't use other Google products, another service may be a better fit for you. Additionally, if you need your forms to be highly customized for marketing purposes, for example, you might have an easier time with other tools.

That being said, Google Forms is well supported and is highly flexible and would likely work well for many companies.

Google Forms has been an easy way for us to collect RSVPs to corporate events and also to get feedback on how those events went. This is not a product to use if you're trying to do a longer-form or in-depth survey. For things like an employee engagement survey, we do use a more specific survey tool that provides better insights into responses.

From my point of view, the following are some of the favorable and unfavorable points of the tool:

Favorable in:

Capture and collection of customer information regardless of the geographical area where it is located, just share the link to the form.
2. Real time analysis of the information collected with the help of Google Sheets spreadsheet functions.
3. Formative evaluations since it has different types of answers and its implementation can be at business and student level.

Unfavorable in:

1. Lacks variety of templates which limits customization 2.
2. If you want to collect large volumes of information the tool presents difficulties because it is limited to the number of cells that the spreadsheet allows.

Google Forms is well suited for surveys, consulting, RSVPs to events, etc.
Google Forms is not suited for surveys or studies where incentives are involved, as a person can use multiple email IDs to take the benefit.

Appropriate Scenarios
  • Data collection
  • Formative assessment
  • Survey/questionnaire
  • File uploads (Can be limited to particular sizes or file types).

Inappropriate Scenarios
  • Lessons where you need instant feedback to answers rather than waiting for the whole form to be completed.
  • File Uploads where not all of the users have Google accounts.

Good Forms is well suited to collect informal survey data, to create sign ups for office hours or for big events. Google Forms can help you stay organized if you are hosting an event where people must register. I like the asynchronous collaborative feature of all the Google products and this feature makes it easy to collaborate with colleagues across institutions in the same system. We collect student and faculty feedback about our online courses using Google Forms.

[Google Forms] is very useful to assist in sending surveys, planning an event, giving lessons, and gathering information in an easy and efficient way. The form can be linked to a spreadsheet, then the responses will automatically be sent to the spreadsheet.

Google Forms works great to get quick feedback for surveys. The data is best if it does not need to be filtered at all so if you're trying to get feedback from multiple groups, it is best to make copies of the survey and see the results separately or have someone who is proficient in Sheets be able to aggregate the data.

I think that Google Forms is very useful to submit a questionnaire to a group of people. This could be co-workers, friends or family, or any other group of people you can think of. It can also be used to receive feedback on a trip, program, software, or anything really. You can also use it as a way of inviting people to an event and receiving an RSVP

For most forms, Google Forms is an excellent choice. Only if you are looking for a bit more complicated survey questions and dependencies is Google Forms not a good fit. Google Forms is very accessible to most people and can be easily incorporated into workflow. Training is very straightforward and the user interface is very navigable. Google Form is clean, simple, and trusted.

I know it is utilized in more middle elementary and higher grades, but I believe that younger students who learn the Google platform could also use it more often. I have used it in middle elementary math and science classes for over 4 years. It is great to use as a quick assessment or a large assessment. I love the features that the questions can be randomized to deter wondering eyes.

Google Forms is great when you need to set up a quick survey. It's very fast and easy to use, and most people are familiar with it. However, it's probably not as appropriate for massive sample sizes or statistical research. It also doesn't always appear very professional in the business world compared to more robust solutions like Qualtrics.

Google Forms is a great option for quickly putting together a survey and distributing it to gather feedback on a topic. It works best for close-ended and ratings-scale-type questions. It can be used to gather open-ended feedback, but doing so requires more work on the backend of the project, since the researcher will potentially need to read through a large amount of descriptive text.

Can be used by almost anyone since its so simple to use.
The security provided by Google also provides a scalable platform.
Some usage scenarios are school forms, feedback forms, etc.
Where to avoid its usage:
- when we want a full white label form since it is clear that its powered by Google

It's my go-to for getting feedback in surveys. If I'm looking to get information from a group, it's where I go first instead of other services that can be paid. It's easy to use, and you can gather the information easily into a spreadsheet to go over after.

Google Forms is ideal for process evaluation, satisfaction surveys, collecting data from a specific group of people including customers, for polls, surveys, knowledge measurement, for simple forms where quick and consistent answers are required, but it is not suitable for complex data collection as it requires advanced skills to do so.

It's great for collecting data that will then be fed into a spreadsheet. I find that viewing and analyzing data in spreadsheets is really useful for me, and so I appreciate this part of the functionality. I think it's really great when emailing out forms to a large group of people from varying demographics because many people are familiar and comfortable with the platform.

I would recommend Google Forms if a colleague needed a form to gather responses for an internal project. It would have to be a project that I don't really care about how the form looks or reflects on us as a company. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone needing an external or client-facing form because it won't appear seamlessly like other form providers.
