We just started using Google My Business. At first, we did not see much value since we were not a local business, etc. but we saw the benefits for traffic and SEO and so figured we would make one. I helped to build it out. It helps people find us online and learn more quickly about who we are and what we do.
  • It is very easy to set up and does not take much work.
  • I like that you can add all sorts of photos, discounts, deals, etc.
  • Interface is easy to use.
  • I wish there was a bit more customization in terms of what your "storefront" looks like.
  • There are not a lot of support and training material online on how to do it.
For any business, it is probably important to set this up but for physical and local businesses, this is definitely something you should do.

We are utilizing Google My Business to promote our local branches across the Google search platforms. We have implemented a new service that verifies us as a legitimate business and displays our certification to the public. Since being verified we have seen an increase in lead generation.

Additionally, we utilize the reviews and photos section to promote our work and customer feedback. These provide a good opportunity for prospective customers to see both our work, and the reviews of previous customers.

Google My Business is well suited for anyone and everyone who runs or manages a business. This is a tool you must use, period. If you're not actively taking advantage of the features and benefits of this, you're missing out.

I can't personally think of a situation [in which] this tool wouldn't be helpful. E-commerce and digital stores can still take advantage of their features to promote their businesses. They won't see some of the same effects due to not having a physical location, but it will still boost credibility and back links.

I support small businesses that currently have accounts with Google My Business I have to manage or I have to create new accounts for them.

It is pretty necessary to have your Google My Business profile updates as it will show up in search results. So highly recommend updating it.

We use the Google My Business network to do a couple of things, but primarily it is to appear closer to the top if not the top of Google search results. Since we are an organization that has more than a dozen individual locations, being able to track all of them in one interface is paramount to accurate information when people search for the organization.

  • East to use backend for setting up listings.
  • It needs to be easier to edit. This is one of the worst run around websites out there that does not allow any easy, controlled edits.
If you have a business that has a physical address or multiple locations, you will need Google My Business to be properly found. It is the only platform that is fully Google that allows you to write about your business and tell potential visitors important information like your phone number and address.

We use Google My Business to enhance the appearance of our organization in search results. We've also found that a good Google My Business leads to a higher search placement for location-based searches. We are using it across the whole organization which does lead to some complications but we have not created new listings for different departments.

There are limitations and frustrating factors but there really is not a good alternative to their product. We also recommend GMB for others, and we always suggest that your marketing and SEO clients use this great free tool.

We have one Google My Business account for our organization and have a business listing for each of our 14 locations. It provides a quick snapshot of our information to customers and potential customers who are researching online.

It's also valuable for allowing our customers to leave ratings on their experience and these ratings end up boosting curious customer's confidence in us.

We use Google My Business as a platform to display our company's many services. It provides a great opportunity to have all our services in one place and available to anyone who uses Google to search for services we offer in our area. We use the free version and it works wonderfully for our uses.

It helps my clients address their local community from a business perspective. We use it for all of our brands, both e-commerce and business-to-business. It instills a modicum of trust with the public that bolsters sales and improves search engine rankings. For the most part, we are able to get rid of fake reviews.

Would be a solid 10 if I didn't spend hundreds of hours battling to have fake reviews taken down from client websites. Google has the technology/ability to weed out so many of these fake reviews - they should start using it. It's labor-intensive and stressful dealing with a rash of fake reviews. This is a 10/10 product for me. Google My Business is so vastly spread that it really helps users to update locations and make sure that the information about the business is correct. If users own multiple brands or products, they can easily sort them out and later on categorize them.

Google My Business started in June of 2014. I was an immediate user. I saw the importance of it for local marketing. Google My Business for my company addresses the need for local presence. I currently use it to let my company be known locally. It helps clients find my business more easily because it is attached to Google Maps. It also addresses what products and services we offer. Not only that, but I also have set up several Google My Business for clients who have been in business [for] over 20 years. It has tremendously helped them, too.

Google My Business is being used by our legal marketing department. Google My Business is well suited for companies and organizations that ultimately have a physical presence. As broad as that sounds, it's true that with Google being the leading search engine, potential customers rely on the program's internal details on hours and reviews to make their decisions on when/if to come to your business. If hours and details are wrong, you are ultimately presenting your organization as disjointed and will paint your business in a bad light even if everything else is spot on. Thus, having a properly set up Google My Business is a necessity in the modern age despite its technical limitations behind the scenes.
