Google Trends is perfect for people who want to rank their content in the Google search, such as articles, products, and blogs. This tool is ideal for those who work on SEO and want to know what are the perfect words to reach some specific public.

Google Trends is very useful when analysing search trends over a specific period of time, as to understand seasonalities and ascending trends, especially when we think about the fashion market, in which new trends arise very fast. It makes it possible to follow these new trends and also compare their volume to existing queries.

If you need to understand how the search trends for a given term have changed over time it is incredibly helpful. It is not as helpful if you are looking to see how specific search terms relate to your specific website as the data is general not particularly specific. It's also helpful to see regional differences in search behavior.

Google Trends is useful to get a general feel for relative popularity of search terms, either against each other or over time. This can show you seasonal variations and help choose between similar keywords, as well as providing some very general indications about the popularity of competitors.

On the minus side, I wouldn't use it as the only reference for anything, including choosing keywords. It's a good rough indicator, but not specific enough to use on its own to draw any conclusions.

Google Trends helps with the initial planning of a campaign and keyword research but it also aides us when we are optimizing accounts as well. Anyone who advertises on Google should be utilizing Google Trends. It can also be fun to just see what's trending and what people are interested in at the moment, even if it doesn't relate to your advertising efforts. Scenarios where it is less appropriate would be if you aren't in need of advertising help or needing to know what's popular or "tending" at the moment.

It's good when you start out to use Google Trends. I think most people aren't aware that this is a tool that you can use. When you first start off using it, it helps you to see what keywords people are searching for which can be helpful for your business. It's easy to use and simpler than the other keyword tools out there.

Google Trends is a good fit for generalized keyword research and for getting some understanding of seasonality by industry. However, it's really just a start. It doesn't tell the whole story, so typically more research is required for decision making. I use it when teaching marketing classes to get people excited about doing their research because it provides an immediate, visual result. It also gives newbies insight into how Google "thinks".

We really love using Google Trends for helping our clients in the digital space, both in terms of SEO and paid media strategies. It helps us get a better feel for the landscape of different industries online, the demand for products & services, the competition in those spaces, the seasonality that occurs, and how our strategies fit into all of those things.

Google Trends is helpful in being able to provide a quick assessment as to what your customers might be searching for as it relates to your company or services. It is also a free tool.

Google Trends is well suited for tasks such as finding out where certain topics are being searched for more frequently, the trend of that keyword over time, and which topics are at the top of the search lists.

Google Trends is appropriate in so many scenarios, but I definitely suggest it for content ideas and inspiration. Many people utilize it after already writing their content to add in popular phrases or words, but that is not enough. The platform should be used prior and during the content creation process so that you can use the data to see what your audience/customers are interested in at the moment and create the content based on their interests. It can help, but I find it much less appropriate to use it after your article, eBook, etc. is already written. Maximize on this useful tool by ensuring the topic you're writing about is relevant in the first place before simply adding in popular keywords. An article that's written based on what's trending will be far more successful than an article that solely has popular phrases added to it.

Well suited for casual research for search volume over time. Not a robust or comprehensive tool by any means. Won’t help you rank for specific queries. I’ve always used Google Trends to fill in pieces of the puzzle I may have been missing and to get inside the heads of search engine users.

Google Trends is well suited to giving you an overview of how a market or brand trends over time. It will tell you whether terms are becoming more or less popular, which helps you to plan which content to write.

It also helps you do competitor research for a market - it tells you which brands people search for most, which is a decent proxy for market share.

Google Trends is well suited for anyone who wants to see what is trending. Both businesses and individuals can use the platform for collecting valuable data. It is also a great platform for researchers and students, as it is always good to know how different topics were trending over the time.

It is well suited if you are looking for- best keywords, latest/hottest trends, competitors' checks. It is not well suited if your site doesn’t have a high traffic rate, because then Google Trends estimates the visits of your website, which might not be accurate.

Google Trends is well suited for inspiring ideas for relevant social media publishing, SEO, and advertising ideas. It is also well suited for finding influencers to contact for influencer marketing and to see popular images searches on Google. Finally, Google Trends is well suited for comparing the search activity for one topic against another to see how they measure up. I do this sometimes when I need to see how a client's website searches stack up against the competition.
