Our company has recently switched to using LogMeIn Rescue to provide support to our customer base with their technical issues. The entire Technical and application support personnel are using it. The major advantage of LogMeIn is that it provides multi monitor support as well as reconnection after a remote reboot without going through the authorization procedure done in the beginning. The customers being served are also satisfied knowing that they give the authority to access their system to only known people by acknowledging it at each instance.
  • The customer at the other end is in control of giving access to their system. It is not a free anytime access to their system even if you have connected before.
  • The technician, after getting access, can switch between monitors on the remote system to access windows popping in different monitors.
  • You can perform a remote reboot and still connect without the customer intervention once the authorization has been given. This is helpful when you are doing a remote software installation that requires multiple system reboot.
  • You can get the remote system configuration information without invoking the command window on their side.
  • The most important feature that is missing is its ability to schedule a meeting ahead of time and integrating it with the office mail systems.
  • Their is no integration of voice so you have to resort to other calling app or phone to have a verbal interaction with the client.
  • In some cases it would be nice to set up a secured unattended remote access feature. This is particularly useful in big organizations where the remote systems are not always accessible quickly by the clients. So, if a mutually agreed secure link will help.
Situations where you need to reconnect with the remote system after a remote reboot, LogMeIn Rescue is very helpful. It helps both the parties by not tying up another computer through which you will have to otherwise do the remote control. LogMeIn Rescue becomes inconvenient when it cannot be scheduled for a future meeting and send reminders to both parties. Currently, we have to resort to other reminder systems or call to connect.

LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo is good for more small to medium size businesses. if you are looking for something easy and reliable LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo is a good tool to use. it is good on desktop and laptops; however, we know there was a feature for mobile devices but never had the time to use it.

We have remote computers connected to our meteorological station along our research stations. The unattended access allow us to check the integrity of the data every day.

Also, because we don't have permanent IT personnel in our research stations, the access with UAC controls allow us to have unrestricted access privileges without let the users know administrator passwords
  • Access computers without people close to them
  • Give support to users with all privileges even in limited accounts
  • Help with unattended access to People With Special Abilities (parkinson)
  • File transfer between computers
  • one of the prompt in windows users is not vissible, somethimes users missed it and you must start from scratch
  • more documentation for apple users
  • never could record a session, all the time was a permissions issue, don't know how to do it
To give access to people with special abilities.
Before Rescue, we last at least 20 minutes trying to access the screen of a colleague with limited movement (just view it), now we just ask for permission and we are connected in les than 3 minutes.

The file transfer is an amazing tool. Thanks for give us such an easy way to transfer files between machines.

We use Rescue on the help desk to support 1000+ clients, we find it works great for us as an on-demand tool, as well as the unattended option. The ease of navigating the user to the website to simply enter a code reduces our time to connect and start investigating. The unattended access is great for servers and generic PCs, which we have this installed on to allow us to connect on securely and easily.
  • On-demand remote connections
  • Unattended connections
  • File transfers
  • Chat between client and agent
  • The price point is pretty high, especially for a larger team
Rescue is perfectly suited to helpdesk environments where the need to connect to so many different devices, so often, is high. A quick and seamless method is required to assist the client most efficiently and Rescue does this. Occasionally, if a PC is particularly locked down with various security policies Rescue can occasionally face issues, but this is rare as its able to overcome most issues.

I've often used Rescue as a way to remote in to a client's computer either for assistance with software issues, or to help them navigate sites. It's fairly easy to use, although some of my customer's have had issues with me remoting in because they were not familiar with the software.
  • Remote log in to customer's computer to help navigate issues they're having
  • Easy going log in if the customer is familiar with how to use the application
  • Using a chat window to communicate with the customer if phone service isn't an option
  • It can be difficult for customer's to use if they've never used a remote software before
  • When working with/on customer systems, sometimes they're hesitant to download an .exe file due to spam
It's fairly simple software if you're at least mildly computer savvy. It does make it easier to show customers where they need to go or trouble shoot issues a customer might have.

It is essential. I couldn't possibly envision doing my job properly without it. Before this software, I used to drive to my peers' locations and help them out of jams; now they know I am just a couple of clicks away. It's the one annual expense I have that I am always happy to spend. It is used by the IT department, including all internal user-facing teams. The tool is a time saver, easy to use, and very user-friendly. It helps in addressing remote troubleshooting issues or cases professionally and efficiently. It also helps improve business.
  • Remote to end users system.
  • End to End file sharing.
  • Chat window during remote session.
  • And session connectivity irrespective of restarts and network disconnections.
  • Stability and compatibility.
  • More efficient and user friendly UI for technicians
  • Auto launch of LogMeIn session after sharing the link or code
  • Calling and recording feature can be implemented
In my organizational need, I tend to the needs of users inside the office and outside. LogMeIn Rescue seamlessly allows me to take over my users' computers and address their needs wherever I happen to be. Quite frankly, it is the most important software I use. Not only can I control the user's computer remotely, but the Rescue Console also allows me to peek inside the file directory. This allows me to move and transfer files directly between our two computers. It really is so seamless that my users feel like I'm right in front of them, assisting them with the IT issues.

We use the Rescue remote control application to take control of the end user's computer and provide remote support for any software-related difficulties or requests. It's highly practical and easy to use; all you have to do is email the link or instruct the customer to visit a rescue URL, exchange the code, and in less than 4 minutes you can connect to their devices and view what they see in real time from their end.
Furthermore, you can use to invite other coworkers to assist you in troubleshooting the affected computer by simply looking them up in the address book or sending the invitation directly from Rescue. Other features of the program include the ability to export computer details, remotely reboot the device, and transfer files between your machine and the end user. The user does not need to be connected to a VPN network; all that is required is that they have internet access.

  • Real time connection
  • You can toggle between multiple screens
  • File transfer
  • Display Computer details & up-time
  • You can add drawing on screen like Zoom
  • Shortcut commands in the menu bar to easy access Windows features such as "add/remove programs". "Windows explorer".
Let's say someone a friend or end user calls you up because they're having a hard time installing a software or having a computer issue and you don't want to be wasting time blinding walking them thru steps over the phone or chat, you can easily tell them to go to the rescue link, give them your secure connection code and you're in, ready to resolve their issue.

We are a software/security Co. and we use LMI Rescue to remote into systems to support our customers, collect logs, and work with Dev on escalations. I stay with LMI because our logs can get large and LMI file transfer is fast and stable.
  • file transfer
  • ability to transfer and share sessions
  • Unattended access
  • some systems wont allow sessions
  • Management/admin page is a bit clumsy
  • File transfer can a bit clumsy also but its fast and reliable
File transfer of logs is much faster then any others i have used
We regularly work with dev on customer issues. being able to both be on a session is very helpful
Unattended access is great for when dev isnt able to get on the machine and needs to make changes after hours.

Our team uses Rescue on the daily to connect with users both in and out of office when they are having technical issues that requires a second set of eyes or IT expertise. The ease of connection to both Mac and PCs makes Rescue the ideal remote connection tool to use with all of our clients.
  • Remote connection
  • Sharing connection with teammates
  • Stop requiring local admin creds for first time Mac connections
When working with clients that have trouble following phone or chat instructions, Rescue is the perfect tool for remote connection to being able to see exactly what the end-user is seeing on their machine. The ability to invite other technicians is also a very thoughtful feature that allows multiple people to work on the same issue on one computer.

We use it for computer maintenance and support services.
  • Unattended feature is the best in Rescue
  • We can customize it and put our company name which I like the most.
  • Rescue Calling Card for our existing clients and they can connect to us by just clicking on it.
  • Very much user friendly and easy to use, Even if you google search then it will show on the top of it
  • Though it is the best but pretty expensive.
  • Sometimes its keep on dropping. May be because it consumes too much of bandwidth.
  • This rescue does not working properly with hotspot 4G but only works with broadband,
Well suited scenarios is that it does not give a warning while taking remote that this might be a spam because we will have the full paid version but if you are using trial then it keeps on dropping and a warning while taking a remote ..

Rescue is used by the Client Services, Training, and Engineering departments to connect with clients in order to assist with troubleshooting software issues and training new clients. Rescue enables us to connect to client environments and take control. It is so much easier than trying to talk clients through issues blindly, hoping that you are looking at the same area of the software.
  • Allows technician to take control of client's computer
  • Allows technician to retrieve database backups for in-house examination
  • Allows technician to upload files to clients
  • It can be confusing getting some clients connected. The log-in page after clients input the PIN could be clearer. Clients get confused as to whether it is actually downloading or not.
  • Expand the length of time to successfully make the connection. The 5-minute time-out is not long enough for clients who either have slow internet or are not computer savvy.
  • Allow non-lead technicians to share the connection with someone else or another technician.
Rescue makes training easier as it allows the Trainer to use the client's information instead of showing their own generic database. Working with the client's own database helps the training stick with the client. Rescue makes customer support easier as it puts everyone on the same page and allows the technician to take over the computer and do what is needed without having to walk clients through possibly complicated and potentially destructive steps in the case of tech support. Rescue make in-house training possible as an experienced technician can show a less experienced technician how to assist clients.

We use it to allow remote control of some critical servers from outside our network. It removes the need to make holes in the firewall and tweak server settings. We use it to allow 3rd party vendors access. It allows us to keep our network secure with minimal effort and minimal risk.
  • Easy remote access
  • Secure remote access
  • Easy to setup and deploy
  • Seems like they change the program often
LogMeIn Rescue is great for any size business to allow remote access into secure devices, allowing you to keep the security settings intact. While it can be a little spendy for a smaller shop to afford, the benefits outweigh the negatives. It is a fast, secure, reliable way to remote control your machines. We had demoed it for when students were learning from home also.

We used LogMeIn Rescue to troubleshoot remote worker computer issues. Like many companies lately, our entire workforce is remote, so having something like this was super helpful for screen sharing, getting real-time feedback, and interacting with the device.
  • Quick and easy access to support
  • Fast client setup and dial in
  • Lightweight application that any device can run
  • User friendly even for the most novice of users
  • Perpetual running client starts up with the computer to make unattended access easier
  • Pricing structure is pretty challenging for companies with small IT budgets
  • Admin-level prompts disrupt the remote access capability
It's great in an always online and connected workforce with a solid internet connection. Being super user-friendly, it caters to people who are quite non-technical, so that makes things super easy. Being able to support folks remotely from mobile is also a really nice plus since we don't have to be in front of our own computer to help someone.

We use LogMeIn Rescue to connect to certain clients' computers when other programs sometimes fail to install or connect. We start with the free alternatives - "Remote Utilities" & "Anydesk" if they fail to work, we switch over to LogMeIn Rescue.
  • LogMeIn Rescue is great at connecting through hardware and software firewalls
  • LogMeIn Rescue has great support for multiple platforms
  • LogMeIn Rescue gives a nice smooth frame rate of the remote system
  • LogMeIn Rescue's subscription price is VERY expensive (currently $108/mo + $37/mo for mobile access)
LogMeIn Rescue is great if you have a High Volume of remote systems you need to connect to. Otherwise, it is not worth the monthly subscription price of over $100/mo, especially with free options such as "Remote Utilities" & "Anydesk," which also work with a variety of platforms.

We currently use LogMeIn Rescue to get remote [access] into customer machines to provide support and complete installs for our applications. It helps us quickly assist customers and look at their machines without the back and forth of emails. There are also APIs available to make workflow easier and connect our internal systems/processes together.
  • Workflow Integrations with API
  • Customer support
  • Ease of use by our customers
  • Easy setup and access to user machines
  • There are timeout limits which slows down the process
  • Adding more techs to the session is not intuitive
  • The UI can be improved
  • Could provide more tech support reporting and features
LogMeIn Rescue is a great tool for providing support. It can be used for any size organization. If your business requires you to connect to customer machines to provide support, this is a great tool to consider. However, there are better options if you need this for internal reasons for managing machines and servers or providing support to internal customers.

LogMeIn Rescue is being used by our organization to control multiple computers securely from a remote location. This has eliminated the need to visit our customers to fix their software issues, which in return has saved us more time and effort in providing reliable remote support solutions. With LogMeIn Rescue, we are now able to seamlessly connect with multiple computers from a single mobile device or PC, share files, and access control with customers and other employees.
  • It supports wide range of mobile devices, PCs, and macs
  • Comes with 1TB cloud storage
  • Includes multi-session handling
  • Facilitates collaboration between technicians and customers
  • Allows rebooting and reconnecting without interruption
  • Very expensive software starting at 108.25 USD per month
  • Interface can be made more simpler to use
  • Not suitable for small teams
LogMeIn Rescue is best suited for controlling several computers by several technicians. It is most useful for large organizations in providing outstanding customer support. Not suitable for small businesses as there are free alternatives to it like TeamViewer and AnyDesk. LogMeIn Rescue comes with better speed, hardware support, reliability, and security.

For the IT helpdesk, we use LogMeIn Rescue on a daily basis to provide remote assistance and troubleshooting for many types of workstations spread across a large part of Ontario. We use both unattended installers, and if necessary, we send links. It has saved countless hours on the phone and the road over the years.
  • Works with UAC very well
  • Unattended installer is very handy for accessing systems when staff are not available to assist
  • Provides a reliable and trusted means of connecting that people understand
  • We sometimes get a little frustrated with the back-end system management for the unattended installer.
  • Hotkeys for the drawing tools would be great - especially to clear them... - maybe they are there already, and we just don't know.
  • Although it is not a fault of LogMeIn Rescue - it sure would be nice if the mobile side could see the actual screen of an iPhone to assist people. Android works very well.
LogMeIn Rescue is very solid - a much better tool than many of the 'free' offerings. Worth the cost for sure. If I had to talk about what they could be doing better, I guess I would talk about the confusion of LogMeIn vs. GoToAssist - which is the same thing but still branded differently. It should all be one single product now. I would also go back to the iPhone issue and hope that someday they can work it out with Apple to have full-screen visibility and interaction for iPhone users.

While we use LogMeIn Central for most users, we do have people at sister companies that do work for us. For those computers that we don't have on LogMeIn Central, we utilize LogMeIn Rescue. We also use it for users on personal machines or if we have users with new computers that are in a remote environment.
  • Secure access to remote machines
  • Easy for users to connect to support
  • Cost effective
  • If Apple could give better access to mobile support
  • If users could have option to forgo any confirmation screens at the onset of support
While LogMeIn Rescue is costlier than some other options, it does benefit from more features than the free support options that are available. It is used as a remote support tool to help with any application issues or troubleshooting computer problems. We have clients all over the world and try to support any system with this tool. LogMeIn Rescue has been a very useful tool for years. I initially started using it to remote into my computer from anywhere then started to use the remote support feature and it made life so much easier to assist and connect to other's computers. Now I can easily see exactly what a user is experiencing and connecting is just a few clicks away. Supporting mobile devices is a great feature as well.
  • Easily remote into a users session whether by the webpage or email link
  • Set up unattended access to any computer so that you can connect and assist quickly
  • View resources and files on the remote computer
  • Connect and work with other technicians by inviting them to your support session
  • I wish the user had less clicks (popups) to enable the remote access since some are not computer savvy at all
  • Last time i used it, the admin reporting feature wasn't so easy to navigate or understand
