Grammarly is used by me as well as all colleagues. It helps to quickly check and correct spelling and grammatical errors as well as improve sentence structure and styling. Since we started using Grammarly, it has greatly improved communication both internally and externally while ensuring a higher level of professionalism in all our correspondence.
  • Quickly identifies misspellings and grammatical errors.
  • Good suggestions for changing the tone and styling of content in real time.
  • Works well in Chrome, Gmail, Outlook, and Word.
  • Can upload documents directly to the Grammarly platform to be analyzed.
  • Works with my mobile device keyboard.
  • Upload document feature currently does not support PDF files.
  • No other cons I can think of.
Grammarly is suited for practically anyone who communicates online or writes often. This includes emails, reports, casual messages, and even social media since it supports Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin. Those who speak English as a second language will definitely benefit the most. However, if you primarily work with proofreading PDFs, then Grammarly may not be as practical since they currently do not support PDF files.

It's used by individual employees at their discretion but I recommend it to all staff. It solves the problem of sending out comms that have spelling and grammatical errors that can make you look unprofessional and not careful about details. Its also a great proofreading tool for longer form documents as we work in Google Suite and Grammarly integrates really well to Google Docs.
  • Spell check is great.
  • Tone recognition is an excellent tool.
  • Integrates really well with Google suite products.
  • The UX can be a bit buggy and can get in they way of work flow.
  • It can hog memory a bit and slow down computer.
  • Hiding the paid features but highlighting where they could be used on the free version.
If you are sending out any comms to anyone, always run it through Grammarly. It is bound to show up something you didnt see. I wouldn't use it if I was sending casual emails to friends & families.

Grammarly is being used only within the Marketing team. Specifically, it's used by Content and Demand Generation. We use Grammarly to get points across more efficiently, pointedly, and in a clear/concise manner. I personally use it when I am writing emails, doing a content edit, or while working with other teams.
  • It's widely accessible.
  • Premium is a great bang for your buck.
  • The free trial helps ensure your buying decision.
  • It can take a lot of time to edit large amounts of text.
  • Pricing isn't very apparent and can be confusing.
  • The grammar isn't always the best.
Grammarly can be used across all devices and has a built-in Chrome extension, so it's very easy to use. It is well suited for our Content team and less for me in demand gen, but I mainly use it to communicate with partners and the such. However, some suggestions Grammarly spits out are just plain wrong.

Grammarly helps us writing an email in the correct format, helping in creating project reports with new and appropriate words, with the help of Grammarly, the content will look rich.
  • It will shows how the content looks like for example: Friendly, Formal, etc.
  • It will provide us the full sentence reframe option.
  • Can include few more things in free version.
  • There is still scope for the use of Grammarly in different platforms like: Outlook.
While writing to our client Grammarly, helps us in providing good suggestion like how it will look to our client, the tone of the email, helps us with perfect grammar. However, it is not with many platforms for now and this is something you can upgrade. but it is a good and helping extension.

I use Grammarly when writing blog posts. It helps to ensure my articles are written grammatically correct. I love how it identifies errors, as well as [makes] suggestions to improve the sentence structures, spelling, word usage, and more. Very user-friendly and easy to use. The best part it's FREE!
  • Finds spelling errors
  • Makes suggestions on fixing spelling and grammar
  • Give ways to correct sentence structure
  • Free and works well
  • How about adding a buzzing sound to highlight errors
  • Great if there was a speaking version when error identified
  • Would be nice if they displayed examples on how to use words in a sentence
Grammarly is great for bloggers when creating articles for their blog. I especially love it inside of WordPress. The interface is easy to install with WordPress. Love how intuitive it is. I like how it rates your errors and gives the levels of correctness with emojis once errors are fixed.

I started using Grammarly a few years back when I saw it promoted on some social media sites. I am currently using it on my own, so it's not at a company level. It was so easy to start using it! It was a quick add-on to the browser. And the best part? It's FREE! Just some features, of course, but those are more than enough for personal use. I love that they do so much more than correcting the spelling! They can even categorize a text as friendly, hostile, or business, translating it to emoticons. How much clear can it get? I love it!
  • It identifies the most common spelling mistakes, but also grammatical and syntactic errors
  • It lets you know how your text sounds, so you can avoid being hostile or rude
  • It shows synonyms and definitions for words
  • Maybe just to correct some obvious errors without underlining and waiting for our confirmation
Can't think of any situation where Grammarly would not be appropriate. Even if we do write in a correct manner, and know our grammar, the speed that we sometimes have in our approach might end up being a trap for our texts. So I really believe that Grammarly is well suited in any situation! Great job, guys!

I use Grammarly daily for everything from emails to entire funnel write outs. Sales pages, email promos, VSL's... THIS review. You name it, it goes through Grammarly. It's a chrome extension and it automatically "grades" your copy as you write it making it really simple to edit for any grammar mistakes and clarity.
  • Grades copy and all writing
  • Points out grammar mistakes
  • Give suggestions for fixing your writing
  • Sometimes when writing sales copy, good grammar weirdly isn't the best way to write. For example, you want to write like you are part of your audience, and often times that means using slang or idioms that may not "make sense" to Grammarly. It can be confusing sometimes to figure out whether it is actually your writing that doesn't make sense or if it just doesn't compute with Grammarly. I'm not sure if this specific thing would be something you can improve on, rather just something to get used to.
  • Free version is great but I'd love to have a "free trial" into the paid version
I already touched on some of this but it's great for everything from personal emails to website copy, to Video scripts... you name it. Where it may not be so great is if you writing copy that may require you to use slang, it may pick it up as a mistake whereas that's just the writing style.

I use Grammarly to make sure I don't sound or look dumb online. It catches tons of typos and misspellings. I am also a big fan of how it gives me a reading on my tone for a certain piece of writing. That makes sure that I'm communicating myself the way I'd like to be, and that I'm being clear while I do it.
  • Spell check
  • Typos
  • Tone of voice checker
  • Browser integration
  • Review tools
  • Desktop apps
Grammarly is perfect for almost everyone writing online. We could all do with someone looking over our shoulders and helping us make sure we are typing clearly and communicating effectively. Grammarly really helps make that happen. It's easy to use and very effective. I recommend it for pretty much everyone.

Grammarly is used to check spelling and grammar on anything I do on Google be it Gmail, Google Doc, etc. It runs in the background picking up any spelling and grammar mistakes. I have the chrome extension running all the time so it picks up any mistakes as and when. I have used to proof documents too and it is very helpful indeed.
  • Spell check
  • Grammar suggestions
  • Alternative word selection
  • Picking up local spelling
  • Auto correction is too hasty
  • Support for multiple languages
It is very well suited for any regular word editing task, any time you are writing anything of any length or importance in a business setting Grammarly is the perfect tool outside of spellcheck in Word. It is relatively easy to use and to ensure words are [spelled] correctly and sentences are constructed in the correct [grammar.]

Grammarly is used primarily to improve on spelling and grammar mistakes in email and other work documents.<br>Its browser integrations allow for a quick check on emails and documents written using any web interface.<br>It additionally provides a web-based editor, where more tools are available. I use this one if I am drafting some important and longer text and I want to make sure it is grammatically correct and uses the appropriate tone of voice.
  • Detect grammar mistakes
  • Detect misspellings
  • Detect tone of voice
  • Suggest stylistic improvements
  • Automatically expand dictionary with technical terms
  • Automatically expand acronyms
Particularly suited for work and personal emails and quick documents. Not appropriate for confidential and sensitive data, since the data is sent to a server and processed online.

I use Grammarly for both personal and business usage because now it became a must-have for me whenever I'm writing to avoid typos and make sure that my writing is grammatically correct to keep a professional presence and avoid embarrassing spelling mistakes, I'm literally getting assistance from Grammarly as I'm writing this review. I can’t imagine working on my computer now without having Grammarly look after what I write whether it's an email to one of my clients or just a message on Facebook to a friend I rely on it to do its magic before I hit send.
  • The chrome extension enables it to work on almost all sites
  • It gives me peace of mind whenever I'm writing knowing that Grammarly is proofreading
  • Autocorrection on some basic small mistakes
  • Sometimes it doesn't show up when I'm writing on some websites because they're probably not supported
  • It doesn't save my common mistakes so I can check them and improve my English as a non-native speaker
Grammarly helps me when I'm communicating with clients because it saves me from the embarrassment of sending a grammatically incorrect email which will also make me look unprofessional, the rewrite for clarity feature is super helpful to deliver what I want to say more clearly by rewording to better and simpler words. I also rely on Grammarly when it comes to our blog posts to make sure they’re perfect for our readers, sometimes we outsource the content creation for our blog but whenever we receive the text delivery I make sure that it's original content by running it through the Grammarly plagiarism detector.

I use Grammarly to make sure my email campaigns and graphics have no spelling mistakes. I use Grammarly in conjunction with Mailchimp, Canva, Gmail, and even this platform.
  • Catches spelling mistakes
  • Catches misused punctuation
  • Catches phrases that don't make sense
  • Doesn't always work within other platforms
  • Doesn't always pick up all mistakes
Grammarly is free and runs in the background. There is no downside to having it, you just have to be cautious that it doesn't always work within different platforms. For example, it is no longer working within this platform.

I'm a grammar nerd. However, English is not my first language. I always strive to spell everything correctly and use correct tenses. Most of the time I get by, but sometimes, I need help. Two of my biggest responsibilities at work are internal communication and marketing materials––it is highly essential for me to present my thoughts in a clear, professional manner. Enter Grammarly. Its ever-present presence on my browser is like a true best friend who's always watching my back, catching my "there" and "their," my "then" and "than." I use it everyday for email (work and personal), email campaigns, newsletters & brochures, and the list goes on. I highly recommend Grammarly; I wouldn't want to write without it!
  • Catching grammar mistakes.
  • Catching spelling errors.
  • Suggesting the correct or more appropriate word.
  • Helping with formatting (double spaces, commas, etc).
  • Being able to add a word to the "correct" list and therefore, would not suggest corrections.
  • It'd be cool if Grammarly can take a sentence and reword it better without changing its meaning.
  • A built-in Thesaurus so it can improve its word suggestions.
I'm reviewing the "free" version so obviously there are some features that I don't know of but based on using this version, Grammarly is an amazing tool that helps you write correctly. It detects grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. However, since this is a program and not a real human being, it cannot reword a sentence/idea or fix a slang word for you.

I use the software to be able to communicate more professionally with my team in the United States. It has been very helpful when preparing presentations, comments, or even a simple email. I have been using it for 3 years and the corrections offered by the free version are excellent, it is very helpful if you are not a native of English.

  • UI
  • Translations.
  • Easy to use.
  • Simple to integrate in browser.
  • Can work in Outlook.
  • More option in dialog-box.
  • More synonymous.
  • Working with AI to improve what you want to say.
  • Integration with more software, like MS Teams.
The best place where the software is applied is in Outlook. When writing emails, it is the best way to apply and use it, but it would be much better if it could be integrated with MS Teams, in the chats, as well as in Skype.

Grammarly is used by various members and departments throughout our whole organization. It helps us to ensure that our emails, documents, and content are grammatically correct. The program is a great resource to keep our communication professional throughout the company.
  • Easy to use
  • Works across various webpages.
  • Free
  • You can easily turn off Grammarly or ignore the suggestions.
  • Grammarly can be incorrect with the context of the sentence.
  • The platform can mess up the formatting of text in certain websites.
Grammarly is a great tool for users who want a free/cost-effective solution to help double-check their grammar. It is a great "safety net" for professional communication such as emails, Google documents, etc. In addition to the grammar aid, it also gives you a tone detector icon which identifies if what you're writing sounds confident, friendly, optimistic, etc. which has been helpful as our company has been doing remote work and most of our communication is done via text. Unfortunately, you can't use Grammarly in platforms and products outside of a browser (such as slack, word documents, etc.) so you're limited with the free version.

I have Grammarly enabled on the Google Chrome browser and use it to do quick spelling, punctuation, and grammar checking so that my communication looks more professional, and I don't make silly mistakes when working quickly. Frequent use cases include checking comments, blog posts, and other YouTube content (description, bio, etc).
  • Intuitive interface (works fluidly).
  • Reliable grammar and spelling checks.
  • Helpful writing tips to make content more concise.
Grammarly works well for experienced writers who need some double-checking for when they're working quickly or novice writers who make common grammatical or spelling mistakes. It's not a replacement for an actual editor. It won't tell you if, for example, your paragraphs are too long or you're repeating certain ideas too often, etc.

We use Grammarly to proof[read] English articles in the marketing department. On the same note, every time we need to proofread a contract with foreign partners or even e-mails, we choose this application because it's extremely easy to use and it delivers instantly. We just click a few buttons and see what's wrong with the draft.
  • Suggestions for rewriting phrases automatically (this is incredibly useful).
  • Suggestions to handle multiple errors at once.
  • It saves files in the cloud.
  • It flags fake grammar errors.
  • The app is quite heavy on MacOS.
I believe it's suited for any type of content, even creative ones (as long as you are careful with what kind of rewrites you allow it to make). It's extremely useful for blogs, sometimes marketing copy, and even for the legal department. I don't see any places where it would be less appropriate.

It is used by the marketing department to ensure all the writing in marketing and customer viewable material is top rate. Sometimes when you put a lot of time and effort into a whitepaper or sales document, you need a second set of eyes, and Grammarly fits that role perfectly. We make sure NOTHING slips through, and the writing is as good as it needs to be, clean and correct.
  • Finds stupid errors in spelling.
  • Shows a better way to say something.
  • Keeps you from using the same descriptive phrase over and over.
  • Sometimes the Grammarly window pops up and covers something I am looking at.
  • I would like it to change some things automatically more. I mean, wrong is wrong, right?
Anytime you have to write something and it matters if it is correct or not, then let Grammarly back you up. Writing emails to clients, emails to your boss, a blog that will get on the web, a description of a podcast, anything professional should have Grammarly as a partner.

Everyone in our company has the ability to use the free version of Grammarly, but I have made a personal decision to buy the premium version because I write so much in my position. We use it when writing blogs, PR pitches, emails, client reports, and pretty much anything with words! Over the last few years, Grammarly has expanded its integrations so it can be used on Google Docs as well which has been helpful.
  • Catching misspellings.
  • Suggesting alternative words.
  • Recommending commas.
  • The "sentiment" indicator can be off sometimes. It will occasionally say something is aggressive sounding when it clearly isn't.
  • The free version will sometimes pop up with a "are you sure you want to send that email?" inquiry because it's trying to sell you the premium version.
  • Every once in a while, the synonym function doesn't show up when you double-click a word.
Grammarly is great! I would recommend it to anyone in a professional setting, honestly. It's especially helpful if you write a lot in your job. However, it also works on emails so even if you just use the free version for professional communication I think it is worth installing. I can't really land on a situation in which it wouldn't be appropriate if you use a computer! Unless the little red underlines bother you when you misspell something!

It helps amateur writers like me to write better. I'm using the free version on the web, Outlook, and Microsoft Word, and [I'm] not aware if the organization has purchased a license for it. • [The] Outlook add-on is a pain to use, it keeps resizing and I can't see all of the suggestions.

Grammarly is an absolutely brilliant tool that helps improve communication with clients and internally, ironing out miscommunications by strengthening the meaning behind the message. It’s really straightforward to use and actually teaches the user better ways of saying what you actually mean. It helps shorten comms and makes it easy to save time back and forth.
  • Corrects spelling to ensure your meaning is what you think it is.
  • Improves grammar to clarify messages.
  • Helps you to write in an active, more engaging voice.
  • Easier integration into third party software.
  • Don’t really need reports.
  • Sometimes logs out with no notice.
It’s really useful for emails and especially if there are contentious or complex details that need to be communicated. [It's] frustrating it’s not available to use on mobile for on-the-go when it’s often easy to fire off an email and realize later that a word has been misused or misspelled, changing the meaning!

I use the Grammarly plugin. It helps me catch typos and grammar mistakes across a variety of platforms. I love how when you make certain errors they will tell you the reason why it’s an error. It has helped me not only catch grammar mistakes but avoid them by teaching me the types of mistakes I am making. This plug-in helps when I am entering Jira tickets and other web forms. I feel like it helps me sound more polished and professional when I am expressing myself via writing.
  • Easy to use
  • Teaches
  • Intuitive
  • The tone detector makes you hover over the icon, then click the pop-up to see how they would describe your tone. It would nice if the implied tone automatically shown on hover.
Grammarly helps if you are in a situation where you are writing full sentences and paragraphs. Grammarly becomes a bit burdensome when you are typing out code or other technical jargon into a text box as many things can come back as errors that are in fact, not errors.

Grammarly is used by the Marketing dept to help clean up copy and make sure we are putting our best foot forward with customers, partners, and team members. As someone who used it for years in the free mode, stepping up to the paid version was a delight. It catches typos and missing punctuation. It is a great tool.
  • Catches typos
  • Helps to find missing or unnecessary punctuation.
  • Helps with sentence structure.
I think it is great for those that write often and fast. I tend to type heavy and sometimes can make lots of errors as I type at a fast pace and proofreading is a daunting task. To have a tool that catches, highlights, and offers the correction is a great asset. It helped me write this review.
