Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I selected Grasshopper after testing a few similar service providers based on two priorities, in this order:

  1. Ease of use - I can easily train another team member on how to manage our call handling.
  2. Price - Grasshopper has competitive pricing, which as a very small business owner, is really appreciated.

I liked the interface and pricing model better. I also like the app way better than RingCentral's which is a dumpster fire. I really like being able to dial out easily from my phone from a Grasshopper number, though I wish I could somehow do that from my mail dailer. Either way, the interface is way better.

I have not used any other phone services like Grasshopper. I know that there is another option out there called Ruby, which is more like a virtual receptionist but since I did not try it out I cannot compare the two. When I started my company I found the services that Grasshopper offers to be perfect. It still works for us and we have no need to change to anything else right now.

I've used RingCentral (RC) to replace Grasshopper as the company I worked for scaled up and required more lines. It was just more cost-effective to go with RingCentral and use their hardware to manage the lines. RC was generally more difficult to support and understand than Grasshopper, but the call clarity was similar.

We didn't really try out too many other options besides Grasshopper. I read multiple views online and Grasshopper was highly rated. So far, it has met all of our phone needs and has performed like a champ. I see no reason to try out anything else at this point, however I'm always open to see what the next big thing might be.

Grasshopper was more suited to a company our size and had a low administrative and installation overhead, as well as a cost that couldn't be beat. Pay as you go was key when we were smaller, and as we have scaled the product scaled alongside us. I would recommend grasshopper over other VOIP solutions.

Grasshopper is more reliable in terms of the actual connection and quality of the call compared to Uber Conference & Google Hangouts. We choose Grasshopper over both of these platforms because it provided us a dedicated phone number we can use in our email signatures, allows us to screen phone calls, and provides extensions for different departments / members of the team so external callers can reach the person they were looking for without having to go through an operator.

I like using Grasshopper for phone calls and Intercom for chat support more than I liked using Zendesk for calls.

Freshdesk was okay but it was not as good as Intercom. Overall I'd rather just have Grasshopper and Intercom working in tandem, because web based calling apps where I have to take calls on a computer can be a bit finicky. I just like how Grasshopper goes to my mobile phone with no fuss.

I've been a user of both Grasshopper and Google Voice, and Grasshopper seems to be a bit easier to maintain and use from my perspective. Google Voice had a lot of issues with getting a "Local" phone number. It also seems from my use that Grasshopper is a better choice and easier to use with multiple employees and extensions. Grasshopper was already in use when I started at CWS, but I haven't had any issues and really like the platform/app.
