Our company uses Greenhouse for all communications regarding potential candidates. From the sourcing aspect of the process to the interviewing cycle to the offer stage and beyond. I personally am a sourcer that performs some recruiting tasks that involve advanced stages of the pipeline. I have coordinated interviews, sourced candidates from the database, communicated with the team and candidates, and kept track of active candidates at different stages of the pipeline.

We use it across our entire organization to handle all aspects of recruitment, as well as move jobs internally, and recommend potential candidates. It helps keeps recruitment and talent needs/steps all in one place and provide a synchronized experience both to the potential candidate and help internal employees track that candidates journey.

  • Allow internal employees to search for posted jobs.
  • Allow internal employees to recommend a potential candidate.
  • Give a place for HR to keep all candidate information in one place.
Cons
  • More details on the platform when following another candidates journey (timeline etc.).
It’s great for both internal and external job search and serves as database for candidate info even if they didn’t get the job. For example, we can refer back to old candidates and see if they have any interest in particular roles if they weren’t well suited for the one they applied for. It’s occasionally finicky and doesn’t show available jobs to internal candidates so I’d recommend looking on the external official job board first.

  • Easy to find applicants.
  • Easy to create templates for emails.
  • Very user friendly, easy to find candidates for first time users!
Cons
  • Hard to find cons, no photos?
  • No app?
Greenhouse does EVERYTHING you could want an ATS to do. It is also extremely user friendly! The user experience is second to none. Plus! You get your very own account manager to answer any questions you may have. They even come do demos for your hiring managers or HR team! Judge the systems based on initial ease of use. If you can work basic applications Greenhouse will come very naturally to you!

The talent acquisition team has aggressive hiring goals each quarter. The tool is mostly used to help support hiring and aggressive recruiting efforts. The talent acquisition team finds it most helpful for managers and interviewers to reach those recruiting and hiring metrics when the tool is used from front to end of the process. The automation and integration component helps for an inclusive process.

It is an intuitive tool that makes it easier to reach our recruitment efforts. The management team uses the integration tools to create a pool of qualified and diverse applicants. It is a helpful tool for new managers and those who are not direct hiring managers participating in the interview process.

Internal jobs and mobility is the primary use here. We use this software to post internal job positions and manage applications. I have personally submitted applications for internal roles in other departments and have set up interviews with our recruiting team. It have generally worked very well for our team and presents no major roadblocks as it is very easy and intuitive to use.
