When interviewing multiple candidates for a specific role, Greenhouse makes it easy to stay organized during the job interview process and employee referral system. There are also user friendly links that can be sent out on social media to share certain job posts.

Greenhouse is great for growing companies with a recruiting department that need to give visibility into the job search across various departments. I can see how this streamlines a recruiters day-to-day and helps keep them organized with follow-ups, scheduling, and feedback.

Greenhouse is great for startups and medium-sized companies. Works great when you have a recruiting team or without. It can be managed by hiring managers, which is helpful for small HR teams.

Greenhouse is a great tool to quickly spin up posts and distribute job listings to end users who may be applicants or referring other people to the organization. It would be less appropriate if you aren't hiring for people on a team or aren't involved in human resource management decisions.

Greenhouse is a really flexible tool for small to medium sized companies. The recruiter experience is very customizable and flows well. Larger companies may struggle with the lack of reporting and ability to force consistency in the workflow, reporting fields and general reporting options out of the box.

Greenhouse is a great tool to organize and structure your hiring process. It enables the HR department to make sure that recruiting is fair and without any bias. In my opinion, it's still better suited for larger organizations with multiple departments as the volume of hiring is high and a lot of management and preparation is required at the HR ,hiring manager and other stakeholders.

Greenhouse helped my team to figure out the best and the most needed person to put into right place. it helped to figure out the group of candidate and their specialization .it not only helped the team to figure the person for the current opening but also to save some of the potential candidates for future vacancies .

I really enjoy Greenhouse and it is my ATS of choice. I like the layout, and general UI and I find navigation really easy. I know everyone works differently - and I always recommend Greenhouse as an ATS to look at because I enjoy using it so much! I do think that Greenhouse could be a little more thoughtful in their pricing and packaging - in order to really get the most out of the functionality for specifically depth of candidate reporting it is a pretty significant buy-up. I would like to see more transparency around this and maybe even work arounds for smaller teams who have reporting needs but maybe not budgets. One stand out for me is the google report connecter - that's a great tool!

It’s great for both internal and external job search and serves as database for candidate info even if they didn’t get the job. For example, we can refer back to old candidates and see if they have any interest in particular roles if they weren’t well suited for the one they applied for. It’s occasionally finicky and doesn’t show available jobs to internal candidates so I’d recommend looking on the external official job board first.

Greenhouse is best suited to be used during the hiring process. It allows for simple collaboration between the many key stakeholders involved in the hiring process, allowing them to speak to each other regarding feedback on prospective candidates. Lastly, it keeps everything very organized during multiple hiring conversations, which simplifies the process.

I would recommend Greenhouse to any recruiter who works in a smaller company, especially tech companies. I think larger companies would need an ERP level ATS. Greenhouse is very easy to use as an applicant - it doesn't ask for redundant information and allows candidates to move through the process easily. It's very easy to set Greenhouse up for an organization and customize what information you need from a candidate. If you need a lot of reporting or have a huge recruiting team, I don't know if Greenhouse has the reporting capabilities necessary, but, I'm a fan of Greenhouse for the simple reason that it's easy for candidates to apply.

I find Greenhouse to be the perfect platform for rapidly growing small to mid-size companies. I have brought it to the last 2 high growth tech startups I have worked at. One firm grew from a couple hundred to about 700 in 2 years. The other grew from 60- 200 in about 2 years. Greenhouse was loved by the founders, employees, and hiring managers. The platform can scale with the organization rapidly and effectively. I am not sure how it would fare in a Fortune 500/1000 org because I have not used it there. But for any startup, small, medium, or large business, I know this is a good solution.

  • Greenhouse is very handy for helping hiring managers have a refined and defined hiring process for their department. Greenhouse also helps to hire managers in the same department to share notes and opinions about possible hires in a way that limits groupthink and rewards honesty.
  • Greenhouse is less appropriate for offices with fewer hiring needs. This program is at it's best when a company hires in dozens of people every month or more. I am not sure how well it handles a super high volume of interviews.

If you've got a well-defined interviewing process, Greenhouse is great as helping you systemize that and enforce it through a robust set of tools. If your interview process is less structured or doesn't involve as much team-oriented interviewing, it might not be appropriate. Because Greenhouse charges based on your company's size, and not on the number of jobs filled, recruiter seats, or other units more directly related to the actual recruiting process, your pricing can get outsized relative to the value it generates for you pretty quickly.

Greenhouse is great for recruiting, but also for sharing information across an organization and minimizing what goes to certain teams/departments. Our recruiters are able to see everything, which makes sense, but interviewers and anyone outside of HR cannot view sensitive information, such as salary, SSN, etc. I think it is extremely appropriate for any size organization because it sends email reminders and prevents busy recruiters and HR employees from hunting down interviewers with missing feedback.

Greenhouse has excellent customer service and support. They provide best practices to all areas in the recruitment process. The system's strongest feature is the scorecard system. It allows you to capture feedback in a quick and easy manner. Additionally the system integrates with many vendors which is a benefit to the user as all information is captured in one system.

It's better than Lanteria as an ATS, but it significantly lacks compared to other systems. Our users are somewhat computer savvy and almost all of them have trouble navigating the multiple menus and sub-menus. There are so many exceptions that our staff finds it extremely frustrating and confusing to use, even with regular training.

Well suited for small to medium size companies. Because the reporting is a little clunky, I could see it could be a little challenging to work well for extremely large companies with 100s of roles across continents.

Great for tech-minded people because the UI looks very savvy and tech folks like modern-day UIs.

Greenhouse is well suited for sourcing and hiring HQ and exempt employees, however Greenhouse isn't as relevant to hiring hourly non-exempt employees where a lighter touch and short hiring process is utilized. When hiring hourly employees it's often a 2 interview process, or 1 phone screen 1 in person interview process where progressing candidates through all of the interview stages is not needed.
