It is so easy to use there is no need for a guide. It allows users to make changes on your time up to the payday without needing a supervisor. No problem with setting up individual accounts for users. Would recommend to not only large companies but small business owners as well.
  • adding time
  • correcting time
  • accessibility
Gusto is extremely suited for all users regardless of their technical level. Adding time is easy. Only issue I had was receiving the initial email to set up my account. It had to be sent several times.

As an employee, it is easy to update my withholding forms. Review my medical and dental benefits are easy to access. As well as other benefits, like a 401k and Roth IRA.
As a tax preparer, I love that it is easy to refer clients to the service and Gusto to be user friendly.
  • Easy tracking
  • Access to benefits and details are easily accessible
  • Employer calendar
Cons
  • Difficult to update name changes
Small business owner that is moving to make a S-Corp election. Gusto is easy to use, helps the Business owner comply with the IRS responsible wage requirements.

Not suited with individuals that operate at a low net income or net loss.

We use Gusto for payroll, time off requests, and benefits tracking. The software is very easy to use. It is great because it sends alerts when timecards are ready to be approved.
  • benefits tracking
  • documents
  • time off tracking
Cons
  • I wish you could adjust a time off request after it is approved.
Love the ease of use, and how it is easy to print past pay period information.

So User Friendly!

I use Gusto to keep track of my PTO and look over my paychecks. I love the feature that allows users to split their paychecks between different accounts. I automatically have money go out for savings and my HSA contribution. Every time I'm planning a vacation, I open Gusto to see how much time to use. It's super user-friendly too.
  • Paycheck Breakdown
  • Paycheck Splitting Capability
  • PTO tracking
Cons
  • The calendar integration was not easy to find when I first started
  • Sometimes it takes a little longer for PTO balances to update
I think any company with quite a few employees they need to keep track of would benefit from Gusto. It's probably best for small to mid-sized businesses. Startups would probably benefit as well, since the platform is really user-friendly and seems flexible.

Gusto is user-friendly!

I am an employee of an organization that uses Gusto. I track my hours each day and every two weeks, my hours are confirmed by my supervisor and my timecard is approved and submitted. I get paid through direct deposit. Gusto has been a useful way for me to request time off as well and it helps me to keep track of how many paid vacation hours I have left.
  • Option for time tracking
  • Option for requesting time off
  • Email confirmation of paycheck that is processing
  • Keeps track of vacation hours available.
Cons
  • It would be helpful to be able to chart hours ahead of time.
  • It would be helpful if paycheck confirmation emails were always sent at the same time.
  • It would be helpful if Gusto had a way to link to google calendar
I like how organized Gusto is and how I am able to track my hours and keep my timecard/work hours organized.
