We use HireVue to quickly send out applicants to interview. Our principals are able to quickly find applicants, conduct interviews, and make recommendations for hire.
  • HireVue speeds up the interview process.
  • HireVue allows our principals to interview more applicants.
  • HireVue's customer service is excellent.
Cons
  • I would like to see the names on HireVue in alphabetical order by last name.
HireVue is well suited for schools, companies/businesses that interview a lot of applicants. Applicants are able to be screened by multiple hiring mangers very quickly. The hiring managers are able to arrange multiple interviews of the applicants they selected.

HireVue is being utilized across the entire organization. It address multiple business problems by allowing recruiters and hiring managers to communicate with candidates in an effective way to see if they qualify for a particular position. Another plus is hiring managers and recruiters are able to customize how HireVue is used as well.

HireVue is well suited for organizations that have a vast number of hiring needs. Recruiters are able to share pre-recorded interviews with hiring managers. This saves both parties time and money! You are able to customize the questions to any position and it's great for all levels within an organization.

HirVue is being used by my whole organization. This is something that separates us from all of our competition. We use this to help our clients get a good look in to each and every candidate. They are able to see the professionalism, polish and energy of their candidates without having to commit to any money. Our clients also enjoy this product because they are able to use this on their own time. Just think, reviewing live footage on an airplane. Such a timesaver.

This product also helps us with hiring marketers and other sales positions that will be remote for our clients. It's a large amount of money to bring someone from California to Florida, so when our clients can see a full candidate profile, it is easier for them to justify flying that individual in to their organization.
  • They have a phenomenal customer support team. They answer the phone 24/7 and help my candidates with any technical difficulties. They are so nice to my candidates and make them feel like part of the team.
  • The video is very user friendly. In this market we have a variety of ages for candidates who take the video interview. Old or young, our candidates find this to be a very user friendly program.
  • The video quality is amazing. When you receive a completed video interview it is not "grainy." It comes over crystal clear and it all around is professional looking.
Cons
  • I would like to be able to add more than one person to a video at once. Yes it's easy now, I just think it would be easier to blast through all of the info then hit "save."
  • Not sure why it says "save" instead of "send" when sending out a video interview.
  • I'm really trying to find weaknesses and that is why tried to be picky... If I had one more weakness I'd say I want a way to delete old users from showing up. Archiving is not good enough. There should be a delete button.
HireVue is the best tool we have for our Open House/Career Fair offerings. It is a slam dunk for us with our clients. We have hundreds of candidates that come out to our events and it is impossible for us to interview face-to-face ALL of the candidates. However, with the video interview we can capture all of the data needed to bring in candidates for another round of face-to-face interviews.

We use hirevue to pre-screen candidates before bringing them in for a face to face interview. This has saved us significant time and allowed us to get a better idea of how well a potential employee will be able to do the job.
  • Less pressure for the interviewee
  • Frees up the time of the hiring managers
  • Is consistent across candidates
Cons
  • The CodeVue portion of HireVue works better for some programming languages than others
  • Is an awkward experience for candidates to go through (not something they expect)

ActionLink uses HireVue for first round interviews mainly for electronics sales people and electronics merchandisers. ActionLink uses HireVue across the entire organization. It addresses the issue of being able to interview people anywhere in the country.
  • HireVue makes it easy to add new people who will collaborate in the hiring process.
  • HireVue integrates with our applicant tracking system.
  • HireVue makes it easy to organize multiple interview templates for a variety of jobs, and then create new interviews for positions as needed.
  • HireVue helps maintain consistency in our interview process.
Cons
  • HireVue scheduled reminders are a useful tool, but sometimes the text message or phone call feature fails due to the different ways people format phone numbers in their application. (ex. (555) 555-5555 vs. 5555555555) This is hard for us to control, because many of our applications come through job sites like CareerBuilder or Indeed and are automatically uploaded into our ATS. The reminder function needs to recognize more phone number formats.
  • Sometimes evaluators will miss reminder emails. Sometimes candidates miss the invitation email. HireVue should make it easier to resend links via email, without having to create a new interview, or re-add an evaluator.
  • The reminder feature is useful, but HireVue should make it easier to send on-demand reminders to a select individual or group in all formats (phone, text and email.) You should also be able to customize these one off messages for individuals.
