I use it to schedule posts on multiple social media sites. Hootsuite allows me to 1. schedule posts and 2. schedule the same post on multiple platforms.
  • Allows the same posts to be placed on multiple sites
  • Schedules posts
  • Crops photos according to each platform
  • Provides a calendar layout
  • The option to shorten links... can you make it so the shortened links are visible in the viewer prior to scheduling the post?
  • Post scheduling defaults to CA time, so I have to do the math to equivalate the Eastern time zone - VERY annoying.
  • Please do not over clutter the dashboard/calendar space... less is more.
  • Having a one-on-one contact to ask questions to would be amazing!! (especially since we are paying for this) I'm sure if I had some one-on-one training, I would be able to get a lot more use out of this product.
We chose Hootsuite instead of Pardot because Pardot "ran out of space," with me scheduling multiple daily posts six months in advance. Thank you for not putting limits on "space."

Hootsuite helps prepare our social media content. Meaning I don't need to post daily. I can prepare in advance and schedule the posts. The user interface is also very friendly and easy to easy.
  • Scheduling
  • Framing photos.
  • Calendar functions.
  • I'd prefer more than 5 posts to be available on the free version.
  • Resizing photos - if this could be done automatically?
For a small enterprise like ourselves, Hootsuite helps plan our social media content in an ideal way.

My marketing team and I use Hootsuite daily to schedule posts on numerous client accounts, and also on our own accounts. We benefit from having multiple social media accounts connected to our Hootsuite dashboard. <br>We would struggle to manually publish the volumes of posts we create on a daily basis. We find it's also useful to be able to easily check back to see when we posted for each client.
  • Allows for posting to multiple accounts, all can be viewed separately or whichever ones you want to view at one time.
  • You can easily check back to see past posts scheduled via Hootsuite.
  • We can schedule far ahead to work around team holidays etc.
  • Allow more scheduled posts per social media account.
  • Accounts disconnect for no apparent reason and posts don't go out.
  • Allow upload of images with bulk csv uploads/ allow recognition of images previously used for matched copy. Adding images afterwards takes aaaages.
  • Allow more accounts per Hootsuite account.
Great for scheduling in batches, great for working around staff holidays. Easy to look back and see what's been posted, and what's been scheduled. Please don't change the calendar view.

Not so great for bulk csv file uploads as you have to add all the images separately which is very time consuming and leaves the possibility that it won't get done all at once.

I use Hootsuite to post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Working on the others. The problem it solves is that it saves time in posting to 18 places with just one shot. Huge time saver. Love it!
  • Allows me to copy and paste right into text box.
  • Allows me to click and drag photos in special box. Simple!
  • Very user friendly. Easy to use.
  • The free photo media is pretty peculiar. I put in for funeral related material when i need a picture and sometimes get some pretty odd stuff. But you get what you pay for I guess. Wait...I do pay for this.
  • Would like to see ad builder. I believe the one you have is going away and not being replaced. Never really got a chance to use it but once. Looked like a trial piece anyway.
Best suited for posting in multiple locations with one entry. I seem to have to go back and forth at times with Facebook to see messages and analytics. Odd that it shows up in one and not the other seems like.

I use Hootsuite every day to promote my business, usually through links to my blog, Linkedin, my Facebook page, or my website. It enables me to quickly add materials where I want them and also allows me to be creative and in the moment too. I have used other products in the past and Hootsuite does what I want at this time.
  • Flexibility
  • Speed
  • Ease of use
  • Notifications
  • Word count in app on writing page, rather than after
  • Linkedin connection
To distribute articles I write to multiple platforms all at once
To re-share items I think are of value to my followers
To quickly enable contact with the people I want to To cross-link between accounts that I manage
To bring people together who might have mutual interests
To influence others
To apply pressure to those who give poor service
To find products I need

I use Hootsuite to manage my social media activity across a variety of channels. It allows me to schedule social media posts for the whole week, when I have time to do so, rather than being under pressure to write the posts at a specific time. I started with the free version to try it out but upgraded after seeing how well it worked. The analytics are useful, and allow me to make more informed decisions as to the best time of day to schedule posts, for example.
  • Scheduling is easy and intuitive
  • Analytics allow me to make informed decisions
  • Flexibility with respect to the stream set up is useful
  • Restrictions with respect to linking Linkedin profiles vs Linkedin pages could be better explained
Hootsuite just makes it really easy to have one's social media scheduling under control. And when dealing with four or more social media channels, this is really important. Also, the fact that it monitors engagement makes it easy to ensure that you don't miss anything and can react appropriately. These are two great plus points.

We needed a way to schedule posts 7 days a week without someone having to physically do it. We use Hootesuite to upload social media content on Instagram and Facebook. From graphics, to images, to videos, Hootesuite allows us to post consistently throughout the day, giving time for other tasks and reducing miscommunication.
  • Uploads on time
  • Allows drafts that you can duplicate
  • Easily shortens links
  • Allow larger files
Hootesuite Free is definitely suited for growing brands that are developing their social media. However, larger than 5MB files aren't allowed which means you need to edit a lot of the content out of the app first so that can be time-consuming. However, it's still convenient for uploading on social media.

I use Hootsuite to send/broadcast alerts, notifications, and announcements to the community I support. Hootsuite allows me to create a clear, concise, and consistent message across our social media channels.
  • Keeps me aware of my word count while using Twitter, allowing me to edit my post in real-time.
  • It allows me to to view comments and DMs across all channels so I don't miss a reply.
  • The media gallery help frame my message with stunning images.
  • I miss the extra channel availability on the free tier. There used to be three.
  • Viewing streams can get a little frustrating due to all the scrolling left to right. A dashboard would be a nice way to see a summary of your channels allowing for a deeper dive if necessary.
Hootsuite works best when I have to quickly make a broadcast announcement reaching many followers about outages or other downtimes. If I notice many of the same issues coming into the support center, I use Hootsuite to send out troubleshooting steps to others to address and resolve problems before they occur. The mobile app allows me to send out alerts, notifications, or announcements while I'm away from the office.

Hootsuite simplifies everything scheduling in the office. With our SaaS products, we need to remain relevant because our industry is accounting, which is fast-paced, especially in terms of changes in software. As a social media designer and marketing assistant, Hootsuite lets me and my team schedule across all our social media accounts consistently.
  • The Hootsuite app gives access to drafts easily, so you don't stress about having content organised.
  • The application advises as to when it's best to schedule.
  • Hootsuite gives you an indicative score in terms of progress and brand growth.
  • The platform is linked to most leading social media platforms.
  • One persistent issue I have had with Hootsuite is adaptability to the device on which it operates. The app tends to operate better with >4GB RAM speed.
  • Hootsuite is expensive but worth its functionality.
  • Sometimes lack of recommended times makes it difficult to gamble on best time to schedule.
  • Perhaps the app could mention when image dimensions don't correlate with social media platform specific dimensions.
This tool is best for a hands-on brand looking for consistency and organisation. Hootsuite is best when you want your brand to take off and compete with brand competitors head-on. Its easy-to-use user interface allows beginner user to quickly find their feet. There are other options that are less expensive than this app monthly. However, that surely cuts away the many conveniences the app brings.

We use Hootsuite to manage social media marketing for our brands. We schedule posts mainly on Twitter and Facebook, set things up for when we're out of the office, and easily schedule things to go live. Essentially it's part of our packages to customers that we provide them with a Tweet or Facebook post and we can easily achieve that with Hootsuite.

I use Hootsuite to share content relevant to our clients and applicants. We are a staffing and recruitment firm for allied health, especially school-based and pediatric speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, special education teachers, school psychologists, and others. Hootsuite allows me to organize, schedule, and publish my content ahead of time across several social media platforms.
  • Easy to populate schedule/calendar
  • Finds photos associated with links automatically
  • Suggests times my users are online
  • I am not able to repost an item and simultaneously change the bitly link. Harder to track posts that are essentially the same but are going to different audiences. I have to recreate the post from scratch to do that. I wish I could repost a post and customize the back end of the owly so I can see just by looking at the owly what post it was and where I posted it. For example, I would love to post my newsletter using an owly link like: ow.ly/NLpediatricOTtwitter and then repost it (from the original post by renaming the link to ow.ly/NLpedatricPTtwitter etc....... It's impossible for me to easily compare the performance of a single post across multiple social medial platforms or accounts
  • Analytics are clunky and hard to manipulate.
  • I wish they would increase the size of scheduling time (hour, minute, am, or pm) drop-down boxes. I have to click and scroll to find times later in the day. Every click matters.
  • It would save clicks if you could navigate from one social media account to another without clicking a dropdown box and then scrolling. It would be great to be able to assign "favorites" that you can check and uncheck from the main planner/calendar view.
It is great for small operations that do not need extensive metrics. Analytics are clunky, at least at my level of membership. I have to copy and paste data to excel to run reports. Also, you cannot sort Owly clicks by tag. It would be nice to be able to compare the performance of posts based on what category or tag I assign to them. For a small company that does not have to adjust social media monthly based on goals, it's just fine. For any larger company, I think that some of the others would be better choices (Sprout Social for example)

I wear many hats across multiple organizations, and Hootsuite is an important part of my daily business. I use it for our strategic external communications. I use it for competitive intelligence. I use it to keep myself aware of the world around me. Hootsuite simply allows me to keep all of the teams I work with better informed and better able to communicate with our external audiences.
  • Keyword search streams are critical to help with competitive intelligence work and understanding what people are saying about the companies I work with.
  • The main stream tames the Twitter firehose, making Twitter far more useful
  • The ability to schedule most posts in advance is a welcome feature
  • The app has a few quirks, but the quality of the app has improved considerably in the last couple of years.
  • IT is sometimes hard to see long threads, but direct links out to Twitter solves this.
We use Hootsuite primarily for Twitter and LinkedIn. If working with partners, I sometimes have to go and edit the resulting LinkedIn post to link properly to their profiles. Other than that, it performs exceptionally well.

I often don't have the time to schedule across several platforms manually. This software helps with managing my comms in bulk. It has many useful features that I find help with clarity and reminding of the essentials like hashtags. It is simple to use and works well for all the different platforms.
  • Scheduling
  • Drafting
  • Connecting to all accounts
  • Saved hashtags
  • Auto-populating posts
  • Feeds from podcasts
Most organisations need it unless they are a small businesses. In which case, I'd recommend free software or doing it manually. I am not fond of CRM companies offering social management as they have few features, unlike Hootsuite. I think Esmeedee is addressing the pain points of Hootsuite but they lack user experience as it can be clunky.

I use Hootsuite to schedule social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin. I also use the analytics Hootsuite provides. It makes it easy to post and keep track of the performance of each post.
  • Social media scheduling
  • Social media analytics
  • Keeping track of top performing posts
  • Customer messaging management
  • Hootsuite could do a better of job of showing month in the dash board.
  • The image editing is limited and could be better.
  • Analytics can be confusing at times.
I think Hootsuite does a great job of allowing advanced scheduling of social media posts. It makes my life easier. Also, editing, duplicating, and deleting scheduled posts are easy and to the point. The analytics good improves and be more intuitive. Sometimes it is confusing and time-consuming to find the right data. Hootsuite should have the top 5 most relevant data points readily available. It could also make it easier to run analytics for multiple social media channels in the same run without having to run analytics separately for each.

We use Hootsuite to:<br><ul><li>publish social posts across our various company accounts and high level executive's accounts</li><li>monitor the industry via social listening </li><li>monitor our brand via mentions</li></ul>One of the biggest advantages is allowing various team member to access the accounts, as well as the ability to schedule out weeks in advance. To a lesser extent, we also like the image size templates in the graphics editor
  • Scheduling publication of posts
  • Validating mentions used in posts
  • Ability to monitor hashtags, not just accounts
  • Recommend hashtags based on popularity.
  • Different sized images when publishing to multiple accounts.
  • Different publication times when publishing to multiple accounts, based on recommended publishing time.
  • Templates for posting.
Hootsuite is great for teams that are new to social media marketing. This tool allows

We currently do not have dedicated staff to monitor all of our social media outlets so having all of our inboxes consolidated makes it much easier to follow up.
  • Seamless scheduled posting
  • Great calendar options to see posts scheduled
  • The owly links help with Twitter greatly
  • Easier integration with IG.
  • A downloadable calendar that has future scheduled posts for easier team sharing offline.
Hootsuite works well with a small team that is learning the different components of marketing. A more advanced team may require more analytics that Hootsuite may not yet offer. But it's well suited for my current team as we are learning the impact of consistent posts and engaging with our various audience members.

I utilized Hootsuite to post to the various Social Platforms all at once as well as schedule posts for future releases. Hootsuite made it convenient to post across multiple platforms without having to duplicate posts. The only place that Hootsuite was not available to post was Google My Business which was disappointing.
  • Great to post across multiple platforms.
  • Scheduling future posts was simple.
  • Being able to see calendar of posts was helpful.
  • Enable posting to Google.
  • Enable the ability to delete a post from all scheduled posting platforms instead of having to do each platform individually.
  • Enable editing of a scheduled post across all platforms instead of having to edit individually.
Hootsuite made planning out all social posts a month in advance a breeze. Had Hootsuite been able to post to Google as well we may still use it.

I manage around 50 social media accounts across Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, for which I post every day. Hootsuite allows me to schedule posts and is fairly reliable, so that's why I use it. The business case this solves is simply that there would be no other way to manage hundreds of posts each week.
  • Scheduling
  • Reliable
  • URL shortening
  • The weird content scheduling thing that just changed. I've given it the old college try several times, but I can no longer drag and drop posts, which drives me nuts.
  • The whole 'posting score' thing is incomprehensible and needless. I have no idea why some days I score 88, but other days score 54 when I know my daily posting schedule is really consistent.
  • I have never had a good experience with customer service. This seems to be because I'm some kind of weird unicorn who only needs one seat/login but manages 50 accounts. No one on the Hootsuite end seems to know what to do with me and is never able to answer my questions. In every case, the interaction has ended with the Hootsuite person basically saying, "Oh my god, you have so many accounts! You should be on a more expensive plan!"
  • Since a more expensive plan would render the social media part of my business significantly less profitable (no one wants to pay real $ for social media management), my approach at the moment is simply to never contact Hootsuite customer service. If I have a question, I take it to Reddit.
I recommend Hootsuite to professional social media people who need to manage 10+ accounts in one place. I also think it's useful if your marketing environment requires a lot of 'statistics' to provide to senior management. A combination of Hootsuite and SEMRush data can make even the worst social media performance look like 'metrics' are being 'tracked' in 'detail' - even though we all know that much of this data is just noise and about as useful/relevant to the actual marketing strategy as the Social Score measurement.

I will say - since I don't want to be entirely snarky - Hootsuite is pretty easy to use, so when I've needed to take a week or two off, I've been able to delegate my work to my assistant pretty easily.

I use Hootsuite during work hours to schedule Instagram Posts/Stories, & plan out my entire schedule. The more I spend time on Hootsuite, the more productive I am with getting work done. Since we're helping our clients create & install digital designs onto walls or other objects, Hootsuite has allowed me to create quality content that enhances our company & other companies' brand awareness.
  • Clean Design
  • Simple to Use
  • Excellent Customer Support
  • Reasonably Priced

Hootsuite is well suited overall because it allows me & my colleagues to fully utilize the social media platform's potential. Hootsuite may not be as appropriate for something who just started a business but doesn't fully understand the algorithms from each social media platform. Based on my experience, Hootsuite has provided me with tremendous help with all the tools that are accessible from our mobile device/computer.

I used Hootsuite to schedule our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter posts. I also used it to view when our pages got direct messages from users. I used Hootsuite at multiple education companies over the span of five years and was the primary user of the program as well as the team member who urged management to adopt the platform. It is a very helpful way to see all of your social media in one place, as well as be able to easily duplicate posts that you can tweak for each platform.
  • Helpful scheduling/planning for multiple social media platforms.
  • Well laid-out post creation interface.
  • Convenient weekly statistics on each of your accounts.
  • Periodically social accounts will come un-linked and cause your posts to not publish.
  • Customer support is incredibly difficult to get in touch with if you have a need for an actual person and they aren't very fast to respond. You basically have to lie to their chatbot if your issue isn't listed in the drop-down menu or else you'll never be able to get into contact with a human, as they lack an "other" or "not listed" option in the issue selection interface.
Hootsuite is great if you need to have all of your different social media profiles viewed in one place. It is especially necessary if you are managing a lot of social profiles and need to see and build their posts together on a day-to-day basis. My team ultimately made the choice to discontinue our Hootsuite account last month because we are shifting gears to place the majority of our focus on Instagram. Facebook and Instagram have recently released a very functional user interface for scheduling that is free to use, and since we aren't heavily monitoring or using our other platforms, we no longer needed to pay for the services of Hootsuite. If your primary social media accounts are Facebook and/or Instagram and you do not frequently post to others, the Meta Business platform is likely to suit all of your needs without needing to pay for a service such as Hootsuite.

We use Hootsuite for social media management. It helps us stay organized when different team members are providing collateral for posts. This also helps us schedule our posts, so we can jump on these tasks during downtime throughout the day. An excellent tool all around, I can only imagine the benefits on larger teams.
  • Schedule social posts
  • Allow multiple team members to see what is in the pipeline
  • Collaborative efforts amongst our team
For our group we constantly use Hootsuite. The only time I could see it not being necessary was for an urgent post, but we typically like to schedule everything in advance. The ease of use is great and makes things much simpler for those members with little social media experience.

The service that Hootsuite provides us is invaluable. It helps me create easy-to-understand social media reports, schedule posts, and change the copy for each platform as tailoring content is key! I use it every week in my role and will often also interact within the streams I have set up as it saves me time trying to search on the platform itself.
  • Scheduling content
  • Optimising release times to publish content
  • Offer great tutorials and courses
  • Suggesting tags tailored to the individual post
  • Offering a meter of how good the quality of the post is in the planner to give users an idea
Hootsuite is great for scheduling content and tailoring it to best suit different social channels. I would say that it is least appropriate for editing image/video content, for live tweets, or live videos.

I love how easy it is to use Hootsuite. When I was first introduced to it, I wasn't sure I would be able to figure out how to use it. But, with some experimentation, I succeeded! I use it to post my specials and other pertinent information to my FB and Instagram pages. It helps me to be able to reach more people and enhances my business.
  • Makes it easy to post to social media.
  • Let's me schedule posts so I don't forget.
  • The content library is a great way to keep my inventory updated.
  • Pricing for the Pro could be lower.
  • I have never used any other platform, so I don't really know.
In my business, I like to update my social media each day with new info, products, sales, etc and I love that I am able to schedule ahead of time so I don't forget to do so. This is the main reason I use it.
