We use Hootsuite to advertise for our residential rental properties and promote our company as well. Hootsuite is great for targeting locals and the surround area that are looking for rental properties. This software is commonly used by the middle age demographic that we are aiming for as renters. The marketing department typically uses the software to advertise daily. It is great for promoting and advertising our business.
  • Targets the desired audience that mostly use this website.
  • Helps narrow down your needs and wants in a home.
  • Provides many different cities, towns and areas of the country.
  • Expensive reports for small businesses.
  • Custom URL shorteners are pricey.
Hootsuite free is great for private renters to promote their own properties & not have to deplete their funds on advertising.

We used Hootsuite to post on Facebook, Linkedin, and Pinterest, for 4 different brands. It was super easy to draft and publish posts while keeping the brands separate. We had an integration with our digital asset management system (DAM) so I could easily grab photos from our company library.

When it came to analytics, there were a lot of premade templates or you could customize dashboards to see data that was unique to you. You were able to select which profiles you wanted in your data and could add or remove profiles with a click of a button! The data was overall good. There were a few things with ad spend that were harder to track in Hootsuite (would need to track in Meta instead).

Hootsuite's customer service was decent. However, there were a lot of times they didn't know the answer and would take days to get a response from someone who did.

  • Easy to create, edit, and draft post
  • Analytics
  • Lots of webinars to learn more about the product
  • Customer Service and account executives: I had 3 different AEs within 1 year and the customer service didn't always know the answers to my questions
  • The ability to move posts in the calendar monthly view
- Managing multiple accounts: you can add many social accounts to your account. It's super easy to make posts for specific brands/platforms - - Seeing data historically: Hootsuite can backdate data for years (I think) so it's a great way to look at historical data
- The social listening tool: you can see what's going on in your industry or if people are talking about your brand

I utilize Hootsuite as a social media management platform. I am the main user on the platform that has created a training course around the platform itself.

Some areas that Hootsuite helps to improve are analytics, scheduling, and inbox management. Firstly, Hootsuite has an in-depth analytics capability for social media platforms. This tool helps me understand which KPI's are most important for our organization. These reports are useful for the Executive level as well to see the ROI for social media. Secondly, the scheduling aspect helps to cut down on time it takes to post to multiple channels. Lastly, the inbox management makes it easy to tag certain messages with importance or topics to address specific messages at a timely manner.
  • Scheduling of content. The ease of use for Hootsuite's planner abilities is top of the industry. It is simple and effective in posting content to different channels and accounts.
  • Analytics are superior on Hootsuite. Their custom reports allow you to view very specific KPI's that you can adjust for each channel or account. The reports are also exportable to be used for others in the company.
  • Inbox management. The inbox manager is superior to any in the industry. Hootsuite allows you to tag certain phrases or keywords to better filter messages based on importance or topic.
  • TikTok is an area for improvement as it's newer to Hootsuite. It would be beneficial to be able to link non-business profiles on TikTok to Hootsuite as many businesses use personal accounts to access TikTok's expansive music library.
  • Hootsuite does have room to improve the analytics capabilities. There could be more ways to customize each aspect of their reports. There isn't much manipulation of data in each type of data set.
  • Simplicity is an area of improvement for Hootsuite. The streams are one example of an area that is super cluttered and difficult to view. Their platform could really use an aesthetic overhaul to make things look more pleasing.
For all social media professionals managing at least 5 accounts this is a great tool. The ability to schedule content across all accounts and channels will save any social media professional hours of work. As well, the analytics are in depth enough to give you a great overview of how well the accounts are performing.

If you are someone who doesn't create and post the content yourself, it isn't necessary for this instance. You can get analytics in the Instagram app, and the inbox management, streams, and scheduling won't be as beneficial for you.

Great tool to manage your socials, and beyond!
  • Social media management
  • Reputation management
  • Incident management
  • Pricing could be better
  • UX is a little cumbersome
It's a well built product for a pretty straightforward ask - social media management. Especially good for enterprise-scale companies, not so much for upstarts I'd say. The competitors out there fare close, but it's about the value you're getting at the end of the day. And with Hootsuite, you're getting great value overall.

We have used hootsuite for over 5 years as a platform to organize and publish our social media content. It is clean and user-friendly, keeping all of our content in one place. Inside the platform, you can easily customize and pre-plan your posts for the month probably one of my favorite features. Now they even added a feature to help you come up with content based upon your previous posts, it's pretty impressive.
  • User-Friendly interface.
  • Organized
  • Social Media ready
  • Pre-planning capabilities
  • Great AI suggestions on posts
  • Customization options for the customer
  • Fix how often linkedin gets disconnected from the platform
I think for any company that manages more than 1 social media platform having a tool like Hootsuite at your disposal is a game-changer. It consolidates your work and gives you some great tools for future planning. We love having out team plan out a month's worth of content for each channel, and you can just see it all there in one organized platform. A very very handy tool.

Using Hootsuite allows me to track my posts across multiple platforms so I don't have to use Wordpress's subscription tool. It also offers quite the variety of social media platforms to post on, as well as campaign management.
  • Variety of social media platforms, this allows you to not only track campaigns on Facebook but Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • As long as you know how to read stats, there is plenty of detail information provided on every one of your campaigns. This stands out against competitors as I feel you receive the most information for your money.
  • The interface is incredibly clunky. I felt that it would struggle often when I would try to complete a campaign.
  • The service is a bit overwhelming to use at the start. If you don't understand many of the features, there are plenty of 3rd party groups to receive information from.
If you are working on brand management across multiple social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Soundcloud, then it would be a great fit for the service's versatility. If you are only working on one platform, you will be better off just focusing on the utilization of the platform's ad service.

We use Hootsuite to plan all our social marketing materials across multiple platforms and accounts. It’s simplified the planning process and we no longer worry about posting at specific times or logging into multiple accounts to schedule posts. Hootsuite is both cost effective and efficient, from drafts and planning through to the final posting.
  • Scheduling multiple posts
  • Image management
  • Drafts and calendar planning
  • Overview of upcoming posts
  • Planning Instagram layout
  • Creating Facebook albums
  • Facebook events
I have recommended Hootsuite to companies and small businesses. Hootsuite is excellent at creating and scheduling content but I’d like to be able to see the final preview of my Instagram account as we plan out our grid. Managing Facebook groups would also be a useful feature.

I utilize Hootsuite to post social media graphics across ten channels. Some channels are public facing, and some are internal Facebook groups. This software helps to save me time, as some weeks we have over 100 posts scheduled across the channels. We have three different audiences - client, potential business partner, and current business associates, so I enjoy the feature that I can change the copy based on the channel I am posting to right in the same scheduling window.
  • Scheduling social posts
  • Ability to edit copy for different channels
  • Easy of use for new users
  • Duplicating posts to reuse week to week
  • Sometimes scheduled posts fail to send
  • Copy customization across accounts, not just channels type
Hootsuite is well suited for businesses who post across multiple platforms and need to adjust their copy messaging in each channels. Hootsuite would be less appropriate for small businesses that are only posting to one or two accounts and keeping the copy the same. I do not feel the price of the software is worth the return for this type of client.

Hootsuite, a multipurpose social media tool which helping us to manage all out social media activities, from scheduling to content planning using calendars to social media analytics it is our daily driver. The analytics part is really helped us to get the past insights and take better decisions for the future. Making social media reports are ez pz, just two click away, plus 3-4 types of views to choose from. Filtering posts is also a easy task, for understanding our social media performance which is a daunting task to be honest, we can filter the posts easily here, even for the all the sites. That's the best part.
  • Social Media Analytics
  • Scheduling posts on social media
  • Social Media Planning
  • Analytics Reporting
  • LinkedIn Carousel: We cannot post LinkedIn Carousels using Hootsuite, would be awesome if they can implement this feature.
  • Similar to my last point there should be an option for sharing converting the PDFs to the pictures when sharing on other platforms (in case of posting multiple series of pictures) i.e. If we provide multiple pictures, the algorithm has to smart enough to understand that we are trying to post a carousel, so it optimizes the images for the specific platforms and help us to schedule the posts.
Any organization having a busy social desk can consider Hootsuite. It can help scheduling the posts for the day, week, month. There are some bottlenecks present, as it cannot post all kinds of media, but it does the job for most areas. Even for the reporting it provides all kinds of reporting parameters to choose from, pick whatever you like and include in your social media report. Customize it in your way. And the analytics can help you to take better decision for the future.

We mainly used Hootsuite to post on multiple channels at once as well as schedule posts for the future. The other aspect of the posting that was very beneficial was the ability to customize posts for each channel in a simple way.

This helped us schedule out and plan ahead for posts and on multiple channels to stay engaged early and often

Hootsuite is used to manage our social media posts across many channels and brands. We use internal calendaring software that feeds into Hootsuite to schedule posts far ahead to align with our content calendar. Hootsuite allows us to schedule content in batches, taking care of designated time periods without having to generate multiple posts across multiple channels and launch manually. This allows one Social Media manager to manage organic content at a brand level instead of a channel level.
  • Scheduling Posts across channels.
  • Managing differences in design for different social channels.
  • Easy to access a list of scheduled posts to edit before launch.
  • A better calendar that was accessible to a broader audience would allow us to eliminate our own internal calendaring system. Our internal system needs to be available to marketing leads across all of our businesses to align content calendars.
Hootsuite is well suited for taking a piece of organic content and customizing it to be well leveraged across multiple social channels all in one environment. It is not well suited for broad-based reader access, so the whole marketing org does not have a line of sight as to what social posts are going out, when, and where.

We use Hootsuite for social listening, social media management, and social media analytics. Using Hootsuite, we are able to post content to all social media channels of choice and monitor the engagement of the content, reach, and other performance metrics without having to log into each social media platform separately. I also get useful insights on share of voice and what's buzzing on social media and competitive benchmarking for better content planning
  • In-depth social media analytics across all platforms to give complete perspective
  • Competitive intel and market updates through social listening
  • Hootsuite academy is a great resource to learn more about latest trends and techniques in social media management
  • Set up process can be seamless, it is difficult to configure in self serve mode
  • Pricing is very high and can be made more affordable for smaller companies
  • Unable to tag people on images on social media and has to be done manually
Hootsuite is extreme delight in situations where there are too many social media platforms to manage and rapid and tailored content deployment across social media channels according to platform needs. It is particularly very useful for big brands and consumer brands with a large target audience. It is cumbersome to use for tagging oriented posts as this has to be done manually.

I appreciate the convenience of being able to schedule posts for multiple platforms at once with the option to customize each post individually. In contrast, other tools require scheduling each platform separately. Additionally, I find it useful that the calendar displays the post image. The ability to schedule posts in advance, view upcoming posts on a calendar, optimize posts for each platform, schedule posts at optimal times, and access basic analytics allows me to better plan and strategize my social media decisions, saving me time and helping me stay organized.
  • Schedule your social media posts
  • plan your content calendar
  • analytics in one-stop
  • helps to create strategy and plan your posts accordingly.
  • Sometimes it can be difficult to find draft posts after saving them.
  • pricing factor for small business
  • can improve a space for better analytics
Hootsuite allows me to not only schedule posts for the future, but also edit the content. This is particularly helpful when I am working on social media content for the week, as I can do it all in one go. Hootsuite makes it easy to either create unique posts for multiple platforms or duplicate content that has already been posted.

I schedule the content on our main channels, ask for approvals, share it with the subsidiaries, and monitor the content plan implementation of our company group. Also, manage the community (messages and comments), extract reports for the ads, and use the social media listening tool to be informed and updated.
  • Scheduling content.
  • Reporting ads.
  • Social media listening.
  • Technical issues.
  • More info about annual roadmap.
  • Better support and problem solving.
  • More custom options.
It's excellent for a small business to start with the free version, to see the benefits and see its business growing by using Hootsuite. In the case of a big company with more than one team collaborating on Digital marketing, Hootsuite is a must (sharing, scheduling, monitoring, and saving time).

I like the feature for scheduling posts. I like that I can schedule for all platforms at once while still customizing each separately. Other programs require you to do each platform independently if you are in a single post scheduler. I also enjoy how your calendar displays the post image. I wish there was a way to mass-upload posts that included photographs. Before this, I used Hubspot, and it was simple to export a whole month to a CSV and then import data. They offer a media library, so you simply upload all of the images, and then in your CSV, insert the Hubspot link in the image column. When you import it, your posts will be complete with photographs. I can import the copy into Hootsuite, but the image must be inserted afterwards. Hootsuite makes it simple to post to all of our social media networks at the same time. This method saves me a significant amount of time. I also enjoy that all of our updates are in one spot in our email. This allows me to manage all responses at the same time. Hootsuite makes it simple to schedule several posts in advance. We save a lot of time by uploading everything in one location at once, and if we need to alter or update anything before the scheduled posting date, we know where to look and immediately fix it. Hootsuite has made significant modifications to make it easier to post numerous photographs to Instagram, which we frequently use.
  • schedule multiple posts in advance
  • easier to post multiple photos
  • navigate my company's social media in the most time-efficient
  • able to plan ahead, spot any trends or issues easily and have automated reports
  • Hootsuite is that the integration of new features can sometimes be slower than that of it's competitors.
  • Is excessively expensive, even with the discounts made for buying several memberships.
  • High cost, complex functionalities and few integration capabilities with CRM or BI software.
I like how simple it is to navigate the platform. It allows me to easily arrange my material and share my posts across several platforms in a sensible and orderly manner. Furthermore, whenever I have a problem with scheduling, I can obtain help quickly from the service team. I've been using Hootsuite since 2021 and haven't missed a single post.

Hootsuite is easy to use and its great, you can schedule on more than one platform. It saves me time so that I can plan social media content and schedule it rather than having to post live each day. I like how you can also customise your 'dashboard' so that it helps to easily see whether other accounts have engaged in your posts or mentioned you in theirs.
  • Customize dashboard
  • How it schedules/looks for posting on LinkedIn company pages
  • Shows if other accounts have mentioned you
  • Easy log in using your social media account
  • limited number of posts scheduled on the basic version
  • limited to a couple of social media accounts on the basic version
Its easy to use and easy to edit scheduled posts if you need to change the date and time you have saved it for. For LinkedIn it would be good if it let you tag individual accounts whereas it just allows to tag company pages. The help function/chat is very useful if you have questions.

  • Shortens urls on request
  • Schedules posts to be published later

Allows cross-posting on multiple platforms, as well as monitoring social media. Hootsuite also allows us to schedule post, duplicate posts, save drafts and much more. As one person managing six different accounts, being efficient is key and Hootsuite allows me to navigate various platforms at once. It's definitely worth having.
  • I can save a draft of a message and quickly access it for future postings whenever I need.
  • I'm able to write one message and push it out to three or four platforms at a time, and especially like being able to customize (remove hashtags on Facebook posts).
  • The grid view and ability to customize viewing windows mean I never miss a mention of our municipality on social media. It catches things the main platforms themselves don't.
  • I wish I could have Hootsuite automatically delete hashtags from my Facebook posts, which would save me having to delete them manually before hitting post to multiple accounts.
  • Hootsuite doesn't work great when trying to add multiple photos to an Instagram post.
  • I wish there was an ability to have notifications from accounts pop up or somehow notify me elsewhere on my computer. You might need an app rather than a browser window to accomplish this however.
Hootsuite works great for a variety of customers, be they individuals, businesses, or governments. I find it saves our organization time and money by quickly getting messages out to multiple platforms, instead of the old way where you had to copy-paste the same message to three different places.

I can't emphasize enough how important the schedule manager is, either. We regularly have dozens of posts planned.

I use Hootsuite to share content relevant to our clients and applicants. We are a staffing and recruitment firm for allied health, especially school-based and pediatric speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, special education teachers, school psychologists, and others. Hootsuite allows me to organize, schedule, and publish my content ahead of time across several social media platforms.
  • Easy to populate schedule/calendar
  • Finds photos associated with links automatically
  • Suggests times my users are online
  • I am not able to repost an item and simultaneously change the bitly link. Harder to track posts that are essentially the same but are going to different audiences. I have to recreate the post from scratch to do that. I wish I could repost a post and customize the back end of the owly so I can see just by looking at the owly what post it was and where I posted it. For example, I would love to post my newsletter using an owly link like: ow.ly/NLpediatricOTtwitter and then repost it (from the original post by renaming the link to ow.ly/NLpedatricPTtwitter etc....... It's impossible for me to easily compare the performance of a single post across multiple social medial platforms or accounts
  • Analytics are clunky and hard to manipulate.
  • I wish they would increase the size of scheduling time (hour, minute, am, or pm) drop-down boxes. I have to click and scroll to find times later in the day. Every click matters.
  • It would save clicks if you could navigate from one social media account to another without clicking a dropdown box and then scrolling. It would be great to be able to assign "favorites" that you can check and uncheck from the main planner/calendar view.
It is great for small operations that do not need extensive metrics. Analytics are clunky, at least at my level of membership. I have to copy and paste data to excel to run reports. Also, you cannot sort Owly clicks by tag. It would be nice to be able to compare the performance of posts based on what category or tag I assign to them. For a small company that does not have to adjust social media monthly based on goals, it's just fine. For any larger company, I think that some of the others would be better choices (Sprout Social for example)

I manage around 50 social media accounts across Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, for which I post every day. Hootsuite allows me to schedule posts and is fairly reliable, so that's why I use it. The business case this solves is simply that there would be no other way to manage hundreds of posts each week.

  • Reliable
  • URL shortening
  • The weird content scheduling thing that just changed. I've given it the old college try several times, but I can no longer drag and drop posts, which drives me nuts.
  • The whole 'posting score' thing is incomprehensible and needless. I have no idea why some days I score 88, but other days score 54 when I know my daily posting schedule is really consistent.
  • I have never had a good experience with customer service. This seems to be because I'm some kind of weird unicorn who only needs one seat/login but manages 50 accounts. No one on the Hootsuite end seems to know what to do with me and is never able to answer my questions. In every case, the interaction has ended with the Hootsuite person basically saying, "Oh my god, you have so many accounts! You should be on a more expensive plan!"
  • Since a more expensive plan would render the social media part of my business significantly less profitable (no one wants to pay real $ for social media management), my approach at the moment is simply to never contact Hootsuite customer service. If I have a question, I take it to Reddit.
I recommend Hootsuite to professional social media people who need to manage 10+ accounts in one place. I also think it's useful if your marketing environment requires a lot of 'statistics' to provide to senior management. A combination of Hootsuite and SEMRush data can make even the worst social media performance look like 'metrics' are being 'tracked' in 'detail' - even though we all know that much of this data is just noise and about as useful/relevant to the actual marketing strategy as the Social Score measurement.

I will say - since I don't want to be entirely snarky - Hootsuite is pretty easy to use, so when I've needed to take a week or two off, I've been able to delegate my work to my assistant pretty easily.

As a small business owner, Hootsuite has allowed our team to easily create content and push it out to various social media channels with ease and convenience. Hootsuite's product is custom to our needs (our specific channels, steams, key hashtags, etc) and we really enjoy that it is a complete portal that fills our needs for social media. Hootsuite has allowed FishMySpot to significantly grow our followers on various social media channels and converted our followers to users. Additionally, the data that Hootsuite collects regarding each channel is magnificent! The data is in one place rather than going to each different account (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc...) on one page. This saves time and allows our company to make data-driven decisions. We are very happy with Hootsuite's product!
  • Customization to the needs of the company; the product is not a one-size fits all
  • Data that provides specific details regarding each channel utilized, along with the most followed post, engagement, date, times, etc.
  • Ability to follow streams/ key hashtags to assist with the growth of users
  • When on mobile, and trying to post multiple photos on Instagram- you have to open the app, and copy and paste the post and photos- it is quite annoying. This may not be a Hootsuite issue.
Prior to using Hootsuite, our company would have to open each individual social media app and create the content and post, with Hootsuite, we can easily post to various social media accounts and have our content scheduled in front of us. The number of hours that we initially saved when we used Hootsuite was significant. We were able to focus our resources and energy on other areas of our company because our social media needs are taken care of through Hootsuite.

We started using the Hootsuite free version for social posting and basic scheduling. Over time they evolved as a platform and added new features like social listening, analytics, benchmarking, etc. We then upgraded our account to use all these new features to offer a suite of social products to our clients including community management.
  • Templates - Creative templates available are very good.
  • User experience is really easy to navigate.
  • Product road map and upgrades are good.
  • I feel the pricing can be better matched in terms of added services and add ons of the product.
  • The support provided can be better.
  • I feel the platform can customize solutions by industry and verticals.
I feel that the tool is well suited for basic features and for teams who have not evolved much (want to use basic features). It is a great entry-level product. But as you grow, there are other more evolved solutions in the market that should be given a try.

Hootsuite helps us organize, schedule, and plan our social posts. We use the various tools offered on the platform to discover new trends & ways of reaching our following
  • Organizing scheduled content
  • Keeping an eye on competition & trends
  • Combining all of our social metrics in one place
  • Sentiment analysis is useful, but could offer more detail
  • Analytics can be lacking (Pro version)
Hootsuite offers plans for many business sizes, from small (free/Professional), up to custom level for larger businesses. Hootsuite may not work for certain larger companies as they may require more detail than what's offered.

The world knows how powerful awareness is. Awareness gives people the power to choose. For organizations, educating their customers about their products and services is crucial. The more the customer is aware of the product and service provided by an organization more the business of that organization will grow. In our organization, Hootsuite was used to study the next move by analyzing the current market trends by conducting several surveys on different social media accounts. We ran several campaigns from time to time to spread awareness among our customers to educate them about our new products and services.
  • Complete analysis of all data collected from different social media accounts that allow us to check where our audience engaged more.
  • Easy to customize dashboard according to the user’s preference.
  • Efficient integration with other application like Instagram and Twitter.
  • The price plan of this software doesn’t suit everyone’s budget plan.
  • Semi customizable dashboard which restrict user to use it to its full potential.
  • The software doesn’t operate smoothly in mobile as it operates in computer.
Reaching among the audience and engaging with them is the prettiest job that Hootsuite does well. Staying among your audience gives an insight view of audience thinking which helps us to serve better to them. But sometimes it auto logs out abruptly which is really annoying. Moreover, it doesn't allow users to include other people in video posts, which I think is really important.
