Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Hootsuite's tabs make the interface easier to view and manage than the TweetDeck approach. I haven't looked at TweetDeck in some time though as I have been satisfied using Hootsuite for at least a decade now. I briefly looked into alternatives to Hootsuite a couple of years ago and I recall there being several alternatives, such as SocialBee, that seem to be more geared for usage by advertising agencies. Many of them did not have a free option like Hootsuite does. So I am a long-term, happy Hootsuite user.

We actually use Hootsuite's classroom program along with Meltwater and Google Analytics. By selecting Hootsuite in concert with either Meltwater or Brandwatch, and (at times) Facebook Insights, students can get the real-world feeling of how brands and businesses choose the tools needed to monitor, listen, and communicate with its stakeholders. Having certification from Hootsuite also is a wonderful "feather" in the cap for a student, graduate or undergraduate, on their resume and LinkedIn profile.

We used Hootsuite because it was one of the bigger players in the space and we wanted to give it a try due to it's position in the market and the trust others had for it. We found it didn't exactly meet our needs and moved on to something else.

Hootsuite has a much broader reach of social media channels. Hootsuite has kept their product up to date with technology. TweetDeck is just about dead if it isnt already

Hootsuite is the easiest to use. Pricing is reasonable. Customer service is excellent. Other services had some great features, but not inclusive or not as easy to use. I manage a team that needs the simple ability to create and post. Huzzah!

Honestly, Hootsuite is the first product that we looked up and signed with. We haven't had a problem and the services and price has been fine so we haven't looked anywhere else. I don't plan on switching unless we have any problems. I probably should look into additional features to make sure we are using everything.

  • Later
I do like Later quite a bit for Instagram. It is a slightly scaled-back version of Hootsuite with fewer bells and whistles, but it is also much cheaper. If you run a large agency like I do, Hootsuite is better. For a smaller agency with fewer clients, I would choose Later. Hootsuite goes a lot deeper on analytics and listening than Later does.

We selected Hootsuite due to the pricing and past experience of ease of use in the tool. We knew they could deliver an easy-to-use tool to achieve what we needed. We have a growing social media marketing team, and Hootsuite is able to make the best use of its time, allowing for a few individuals to manage most of our social communications. The positive experience over the past few years is what led us to stay with Hootsuite when evaluating other options.

Hootsuite is way better than Sprout Social as it is much easier to use and understand and the analytics capabilities and dashboards are far more intuitive and useful for social media strategy. Sprout Social use cases are not as extensive as Hootsuite, although Sprout Social is cheaper compared to Hootsuite.
