It's free so there're few blockers to renewing the subscription which is just a permanent account other than to revoke the social platforms' permissions after the clients have bought into another non-HootSuite platform. As its obvious purpose is to move users to Pro ($14.99/mo), the limited functionality plus the security permissions it raises as well as disabling any other HootSuite account from registering the associated social media platforms means we'd delete the HootSuite account after its limited initial use.

It's an automatic renew so there's no reason I would have to worry about this. For all the functionality I get, $10 a month is a steal. I am considering upgrading for a month so that I can do their online training program, Hootsuite University, where I can earn a certificate and be listed on their site as an expert in the program. I have inquired about this, and I could earn the certificate and then switch back to my pro account. I think the whole learning program and certificate is a very awesome thing for them to do. I see myself continuing this until I am not working in this industry anymore - and I don't see that happening anytime soon because I'm just getting started!

My likelihood of renewing my Hootsuite Enterprise use is actually zero right now because I have no use for the program in my new position -- however I did not want to put zero because it makes it seem like I wouldn't renew because of a negative experience. IF I was still in a social media position, I would definitely continue using Hootsuite because it truly is a GREAT tool that should be taken advantage of.

I gave it a 9 because I saw how fast it benefited the company I worked for. It increased our work efficiency in a matter of weeks and helped reach out to our fans and followers a lot quicker and easier. I was very excited when we got this approved to use for our company. Because we had over 10 social media accounts active, it was a great tool to use.

Oddly enough, I tend to trust individuals more when it comes to social media marketing management; I would rather have raw data and firsthand observations over analytics from external sources. For some reason, I think it's more efficient to have organic data and be able to sift through it without hitting any potential walls that a management tool may have. While Twitter posts are relatively easy to execute, Facebook recently rolled out a scheduling tool. I think that these social platforms are beginning to compete with products like Hootsuite and users will begin to choose them over the costly competitors.

It's a powerful social management tool that has enabled us to manage our social efforts day-to-day as well as provide insights that we use to optimize our social efforts. However, the enterprise solution is VERY expensive and very hard to continually justify the cost.
