We use it all across the board. Their performance are very great, is very similar to Cisco switches. We use it to interconnect campuses with the Edge Devices. Mostly, we use it for access connections to end-devices.
  • You can make Stack. That is how we use them, using stacking cables to connect up to 4 devices in our case.
  • Better OS than old HP series.
  • Great GUI if you don't like the CLI.
  • They support 2 power supplies for redundancy
Cons
  • They need to improve on the delivery of traps to the NCM.
  • Traps and syslogs are sometimes too generics.
You can use it on any IDF to interconnect your network with the MDF and beyond. They are more useful for end devices connection bringing POE for Phones or cameras. Using them with Aruba WAP is a good combination.
  • The performance is great
  • Less down time because of the solid OS and 2 power supplies.
I do not have any complain with the HPE Aruba support. You can also find more info and support on the Aruba community forum.

We use them for our internal office LAN. It connects our firewall, desktops, servers, and soon to be phones.
  • Redundant power supplies
  • Seems to be well built
  • UI is nice
Cons
  • More ability to use UI instead of CLI for configuration
  • Ability to download updates direct from HPE
  • Spanning tree not turned on as default
It works great when running a network LAN.
  • Stability
  • Speed
  • It gives us piece of mind for redundancy
I think it compares very favorably against Cisco and others because it is much cheaper and doesn't require continued support costs.

We are currently using and deploying Aruba Switches across our whole organization. We are upgrading our network with Aruba 2930m, 3810, 5412,5406 Gigabit Switches.
  • Aruba switches are well built the modular power supplies are a plus.
  • Swithces are so silent you don't even know they are on.
  • VSF Stacking is easy to setup.
Cons
  • I would like for the Aruba CLI to also support HP CLI commands as well.
We Deployed around 600+ Aruba Switches at multiple locations, we have not had any issues with switches just a couple of bad stacking cables and a power supply on a core switch.
  • My overall experience with Aruba Switches and APs has been positive.
Cisco Switches are build to last forever however they are more expensive to purchase. HP Switches work well the fans do go out from time to time which will cause the switch to fail. Aruba Switches are priced right and have software and hardware improvements over HP.
Support has been excellent and support documentation is available on their support web site.

Robust network hardware that won't let you down.

We primarily use HPE Aruba Ethernet Switches as our core and edge switches. In particular, their PoE offerings are excellent, as they are competitively priced and provide rock-solid performance. We have all of our PoE infrastructure connected to HPE Aruba Ethernet Switches, from our security cameras, to access points, to server endpoints and workstations. HPE Aruba Ethernet Switches are the backbone of our network.
  • Power-over-Ethernet
  • VLAN
  • Load distribution
  • Reliability
Cons
  • Provide better options for device monitoring and tracking, be it SNMP or other.
For small deployments, Aruba Instant On was a better solution, as standard Aruba edge switches are too costly when compared to Aruba Instant On devices.
  • Provides stability in our network with virtually no downtime since deployment.
  • Provides peace of mind due to warranty and quality of hardward.
  • Allows for great flexibility when customizing our networks.
They are excellent devices for the money. Rock-solid, workhorses that run very efficiently. I've had no issues in the years we've had them in our production networks.
The Instant On units seem to work best for edge switches. Our core switches are still the regular HPE Aruba Ethernet Switches, due to their reliability and robustness.

We have a lot of POE phones and other devices that require reliable power and data routing. The HPE switches work very reliably and when you have an issue the support team is there to help and get you running again quickly. The administration is easy and understandable, no need to get specific training for managing them.
  • The switches are very reliable
  • Support is ready to help and send replacements if needed
  • Easy to administer
  • Excellent documentation for CLI commands
Cons
  • The new ArubaOS is closer to Cisco switches than the OS running on the 2530 series. Could be a plus if you are familiar.
  • I wish there were better uplink ports, 1G seems really dated when cheaper competitors have 10G SFP+
  • Lack of real support for POE++ devices, most switches in the lineup are still POE+ only
These devices are rock solid, you will se them up once and not have to mess with them for years. They are work horses that don't die. We use them in an office environment and have only ever had 1 fail due to a PSU issue, we got a replacement next day and it's been working great.
  • More reliable than competitors like Ubiquiti
I preferred the OS running on the 2530 series switches, but the ArubaOS is very usable. It's similar to the Cisco OS command line interface, but somehow more understandable. It takes a bit of getting used to, but the documentation is great and it makes sense after a while of using it.
We like the reliability and support of the HPE switches over the UniFi devices despite the UniFi being cheaper and better performing for the price. We like the additional configuration options of the HPE switches over the Instant On line, we are also a staffed office, and don't need the cloud configuration abilities.
