I use HubSpot to schedule manual and auto emails (sequences), save templates, call prospects, save notes on calls, schedule meetings, track and manage other sales people calls/email output, and organize everything I need to be successful.
  • Great support - quick feedback - very helpful.
  • Records information accurately.
  • The calendar tool works well.
  • You should allow threading to not be all or none - there should be the ability to thread some emails in a sequence and not others.
  • You should have the ability to mass change the date that tasks are due on the task plane.
  • You should have a parallel dialer built into mass cold calls.
Well suited for sales not sure if it's appropriate for marketing or operations as much. The inability to thread certain emails has been upvoted for 3 years, and you still don't let us do it.

We use HubSpot as a complete CRM, and also as our Marketing platform for campaigns, emails, forms for our website, tracking links, social etc. I use HubSpot on a daily basis for these reasons, and to manage deals created by us for our Sales team. I track the process to ensure deals are being worked on, and do weekly/monthly reporting using the data in HubSpot.
  • Consolidates Sales and Marketing in one place, with everything updating in real time
  • Reporting is exceptional
  • The platform is continuously being improved and has changed a lot in 5 years!
  • I would like to see more put into the Campaign tool. I find it difficult to find value from it for reporting purposes, particularly with tracking URLs. Forms were recently made trackable at campaign level which really helped
  • Needs to be made clear when bulk updating deals to closed lost that it will NOT change the close date as it would if you did an individual deal. Bulk update is very useful, but not if if doesn't mimic what happens when you edit something individually
Gosh, HubSpot is my sidekick. I use it every day for everything in my role.
It is suited to any organisation looking to combine Marketing and Sales effectively. It's tracking capabilities are exceptional, and we can make sure a clear history is available on any Company/Contact/Deal record (providing people use it correctly) for anyone in the company to refer to.
I don't know who it wouldn't be suited for

I use HubSpot CRM for email communications
  • Keep contact activity organized
  • Schedule and send email campaigns
  • Receive insights when prospects open or click emails
  • Detailed reports of activity
  • Ability to create lists for later follow ups
  • Creating lists of contacts that opened or clicked on an email for further follow up
  • Adding tags to contacts for organization purposes
HubSpot CRM has lots of great features but always room for improvement

We use HubSpot to track our sales and renewal pipeline and see what deals are in what stages. We also use this in conjunction with our Marketing, as leads flow from our Hubspot-hosted website into our Sales funnel, and we track communication as the leads progress through the pipeline. We have automation in place that allows us to automatically assign team members tasks and send follow-up material to leads depending on their stage and length in the pipeline.
  • Lead tracking with custom stages.
  • Communication logging for all calls, website visits, and emails that are sent and received from leads.
  • Analytical insights about how deals are progressing in our sales funnel.
  • We are linking our renewal and customer success pipelines with sales pipelines after leads move to the won stages.
  • Creating custom sales dashboards based on meeting links are not easy or intuitive.
  • Reports take a lot of work to set up correctly, and sometimes, it isn't clear how to best generate reports based on how we've designed our funnels.
  • Sometimes the email tracking doesn't work for contacts which is frustrating.
HubSpot is well suited for companies that do not have a really complicated sales process and don't need a lot of customization in the tracking of their deals. It is not suited well for companies that need sophisticated analytical insights on their sales and marketing processes because it's not easy for anyone without any previous experience to set up and configure the funnel and dashboards to have any useful reporting style.

I enjoy using HubSpot at work. It helps me to stay on task and keeps me organized. Its very easy to use and keeps important communication responses right where I need them, in case I ever need to refer back to the thread. I love that it has email tracking, to let you know how many times the email has been opened. I honestly don't know what I would do with out HubSpot.
  • Keeping up with task reminders
  • Email tracking
  • organization
  • 1 stop shop
  • multiple ways to use it
  • writing notes under 1,3 and 6 month checkin can be easier to find
  • i dont like if an email is stored somewhere else, you have to find it and erase it, in order to save it where you need it to be.
I love that it is easy to navigate through for the most part. It has a spot for all the necessary tools, such as email section, Log Call section etc. You can provide notations in all the different entities. Great for keeping track of communications on all forms.

We use it to organize all of our business development and partnership efforts. It addresses the problem of having to deal with thousands of different contacts and being able to manage each of their activities in one place.
  • Sequences
  • Data Insights
  • Automation
  • More customization
  • More integration with data intelligence platforms
  • Hyperlinks as personalization keys
Where you want to use a lot of outreach it is appropriate. For small scale businesses it would be less appropriate.

We use it as our main CRM. We track sales deals and customer onboarding status. We also log support tickets that connect to our Jira account. This way, we can see the complete history of the customer.
  • Integrating with multiple platforms.
  • Showing all activity with a customer.
  • Providing ways for us to learn how to best use it.
  • A user friendly interface that is easy and intuitive to navigate.
  • The only thing I would say, which isn't a major thing, is that editing emails in workflows would be better. I'd like to see it have more formatting options, like creating an email from the email options.
In my last position at a SAAS company, I used Salesforce and HATED IT. It was so clunky, and when I used HubSpot, it was like a breath of fresh air. Any company that does customer interactions and sales needs Hubspot. There is a TON of room for customization, which is AMAZING. I don't see anywhere that it wouldn't be a good fit.

I aim to work with leads/prospects in my sales pipeline. It keeps me organized, and Email Sequences allow me to contact my prospects constantly. Tasks keep me engaged with prospects on time, and the Quoting system will enable me to acquire their business quickly and all in one spot.
  • "Scrapes" all the Customer's information from email and website.
  • Sequences to automate my continued outreach.
  • Pipeline reporting to know where I stand for the month.
  • Quoting system allows me to working within HubSpot.
  • Calling & emailing directly through HubSpot automatically tracking my activity.
  • Email Sequences NOT starting a new thread, but rather continuing a thread to help Prospects review the history of our discussion to jar their memory.
  • Email Sequences allowing me to re engage MULTIPLE Contacts (not just one).
  • If a payment is required on the quote, do not let the Customer leave the page (many forget to click the "Pay now" button, causing me to email the link back to their quote and instruct them to continue in the process).
  • 2-way texting.
Perfect for working on multiple deals with multiple stages in a pipeline.

Hubspot works well!

I use Hubspot to manage a lot of data and our clients and find its interface very user-friendly. The tracking of emails and notes is very helpful to me and helps me keep everything in one place, compared to making a ton of reminders elsewhere. The product helps a lot of my colleagues as well, but I use it more, and it helps me stay organized.
  • Database Management.
  • Email Sender.
  • Task List.
  • Ways to track % of sales made from emails easily.
  • Email pop up not always showing when setting a task.
  • Not the easiest to navigate, had to go digging for a lot of things I needed.
Managing over 200 clients isn't the easiest thing, so having Hubspot to help me track and manage these clients is very helpful. I can add notes, meetings, and phone calls to every client, which helps me from forgetting certain details. Being able to import data is very helpful as it is very quick and easy. I wish there was an option to set more than 100 tasks at one time and the option to delete exports if done wrong.

I use HS to help charities with packages for their gala/event. I send quotes, general information, and check in after the event for the winner information. Then, I also send the invoice. We communicate as a team through each event as well.
  • Task queue.
  • Prompt notification.
  • Ease of use.
  • Sometimes, it takes a while for a quote to be published.
  • Automation for calculating charity proceeds.
  • Editing invoices after they are created.
HS is suitable for everything we need, but many features still need to be explored. However, for what I use it for, I haven't found many faulty things!
Score 9 out of 10

Sales and customer success use HS extensively. For sales, retrieving emails and seeing what communications we have sent to specific contacts and organizations is awesome. It's also great to see all the activity these contacts or organizations have been engaged with. Dividing territory is useful for a global sales team as well. For CS, it's great to divide up who handles what accounts for overall transparency.
  • Contact Owner.
  • Activity Tracking.
  • Sometimes, tracking isn't fully coherent. E.g., you send an email, and it says that tracking data is not available because the user chose not to track this email when, in reality, the user never clicked anything to not track the email.
  • Emails look 10/10 prior to sending, then you send it and line breaks aren't incorporated. Makes emails (especially important for sequencing) look extremely messy and unprofessional.
It's very appropriate for tracking emails and calls for transparency's sake. In this case, it's extremely useful, so that two people don't reach out to the same person if someone is already handling it. The email function is a little messy at times, so I prefer to email from Gmail itself.

Our sales team mainly uses HubSpot CRM. It helps us reach out to new potential prospects, which is essential for our organization as it can lead to new contracts or give our customers a proper idea of what we do. In addition, HubSpot CRM is straightforward to interact with, which always motivates our teams to do more.
  • HubSpot CRM stops sequences once the prospect has responded, which helps avoid confusion.
  • HubSpot CRM also tracks the number of sequences completed by each team member, motivating users to always strive for the top.
  • HubSpot CRM also keeps track of how many meetings you achieve, which is a great advantage.
  • HubSpot CRM could update the prospect positions through their responses to avoid confusion.
  • HubSpot CRM has the capacity to track the number of meetings your team members are accomplishing, but it is not very accurate.
  • HubSpot CRM could also automatically remove a potential prospect from receiving sequences when they clearly state it in their responses.
HubSpot CRM is well suited for sales teams that are responsible for sending sequences to potential customers and exploring new possibilities with them. However, HubSpot CRM email is a little complicated when it comes to responding to customers, so I prefer to use traditional email to respond.

We use it to track sales leads, send automated emails, view data from leads and customers, and send marketing emails, among other things.
  • Collects data from leads.
  • Creates tailored content suggestions.
  • Follow up reminders.
  • Too many features, layout is not very clear.
  • Templates section for emails is hard to access.
Ultimately, HubSpot's data is great compared to other systems and helps us improve sequences/workflows for A/B testing, but it is complex and hard to understand at times.

As a new business owner, I was recommended to try HubSpot to manage my business development more efficiently. After using the free version for a while, I recently upgraded to the start subscription, and it has been a game-changer - I can now track all my business development activities AND my client-facing work in one place. Using the templates synced with my email provider, I can easily - and quickly - communicate with new prospects and track the metrics to see what is and isn't working. What took me days is now taking less than an hour. I can also segregate prospects from clients and those I want to keep in touch with regularly. All my activities and communications are synced, so I no longer need to hunt down when I was last in touch with someone, what actions are outstanding, and what my next steps are. I've also implemented automation to remind me of particular actions I must take depending on where a prospect or client is in the pipeline. I'm sure there is much more I could be using HubSpot for, and I'm enjoying learning about it.
  • Conversation templates to make emailing easier to write and track.
  • Pipelines to manage and oversee business development.
  • Tasks synced to contacts and deals.
  • Tickets to manage client delivery.
  • Reporting and dashboards are difficult to use and get the information that's most important to me, so I'm still manually tracking.
  • I can't afford/don't need all the functionality offered in the different subscriptions. Still, there are one or two things that I would find helpful - the ability to sub-out certain features would be great (as I don't need or use everything in my current subscription).
  • Better booking system - I'm still using Calendly as it has so much more flexibility.
Business development tracking prospects and leads Contact management: I don't require marketing or website tools. Analytics and dashboard reporting is clunky and confusing - I don't get helpful information.

We use HubSpot to market and inform our customers and prospect base about new products and opportunities to interact with them. We then link that through API integration to our Microsoft Dynamics, where we can track outreach and connect it directly to our lead and sales pipelines.
  • Easy to save custom lists.
  • Easy to design emailers.
  • Easy to plan and schedule emails.
  • It could have a better UI design.
HubSpot is great for driving product sales, but an external tool would be needed to drive attendance and registration for an event, for example.

HubSpot is a combination of Marketing, Sales, and Revenue-Ops automation/management. I haven't encountered any other platform that can do this, not even HubSpot. I love the Marketing Hub and CRM, specifically.

HubSpot is used for contact info and to keep track of activities and notes, as well as my daily tasks. We have thousands of clients, and using Hubspot really helps with organization, daily activities, daily reminders for tasks, and a paper trail for all emails. Yes, emails. You can view every single email that was sent and received, and it is there forever. That is probably the best thing about HubSpot: the saved emails.
  • Saves all emails.
  • Saves all contact information.
  • Links all clients together when needed.
  • Pulls in the customers company logo.
  • I feel that the task alerts could be a bit better.
  • Alerts to be more prominent.
  • It would be nice to know exactly what the customer looks at while on the website.
I do not have any examples of where it is inappropriate, but I do know that in my field of work if I did not have Hubspot to keep track of my emails and activities or a place to input my notes, I would be lost.

I use HubSpot CRM to create, and complete tasks, load contacts, load and review deals, as well as send out emails. It helps me understand and how and when to follow up with prospects. It also helps send tasks to management for estimate requests, and questions that the prospect has generated by tagging them in the notes.
  • Sorts Tasks
  • Tracks emails
  • Records and tracks call
  • Saves templates for easy use
  • The new prospecting view is not as detailed as the old view I used to be able to easily see my daily activity now I have to create reports
  • The auto generation of company phone numbers it not always accurate
  • The hubspot template library could be updated with more/different examples
HubSpot CRM is great for tracking daily tasks. You can sort them by different categories, Its also great for historical contact data. Calling from hubspot is not as quick as with some other Crms that I have used in the past. So for a rep that is required to make a lot of calls their are better crms imo for that.

I currently use HubSpot CRM primarily for scheduling meetings (tours) for my apartment community. I also use HubSpot for e-mail campaigns. I have previously used HubSpot for prospect follow ups, tracking prospect traffic on websites and emails. Overall, I wish my company used HubSpot as our main platform for engaging with prospects. The work flows are absolutely amazing and we would benefit from that.
  • Scheduling Meetings
  • Tracking customer engagement
  • Ticket flows
Love everything about HubSpot CRM. My team consists of college kids and the platform is friendly for all ages. I truly do not have any bad things to say about HubSpot. The potential is endless with everything that can be built out to suit what you need it for. Amazing platform

HubSpot CRM does a fair job at keeping contacts organized and allows for all users to contribute to keeping tabs on customers. It also allows us to manage and track all communications between our consultants and management. I especially like using it paired with the gmail extension which allows me to track my emails and even see when the client opens them.
  • Organize contacts
  • Ease of access
  • works seamlessly with gmail
  • more customizable UI
  • Easier to use UI for managing contacts
  • Allow for easy uploading of photos, media, notes on customer file to add detail and context.
HubSpot CRM is very useful in the way it integrates with gmail and allows for custom forms to be created and synced with google calendar. It keeps things organized for our team in a way that is very helpful and seamless. I find it clunky when using it to organize contacts.

We organize international internships for students all over the globe. Because it covers such a large area of the world, it has become a significant problem to keep the right contacts, students, and companies and communicate about them at a sustainable level. Having integrated HubSpot, we have covered much more ground regarding setting up systems, implementing the proper lead generation, and keeping track of all contacts. It has taken our business to the next level.
  • Lead generation.
  • Automation
  • Outreach
  • Chat functions.
  • Whatsapp Integration could be better.
  • Layout for smaller screens can get tricky.
It's not easy to integrate Hubspot fully into a business, but once done well, you can say goodbye to many other systems that are often more work. CRM is well suited for businesses looking to scale but do not want to rely on employees to do every bit of contact and accounting.

We use this platform to track leads and tasks on their leads. We have fresh leads daily and activities to be done on those deals. As the stage changes, specific parameters need to be tracked to filter out high-priority deals. By automating the agreement stage, we ensure that we always have an optimized funnel. The scope of the entire case study is to automate the workflow so that by applying some filters, we can see and prioritize work.
  • Automation of workflow.
  • Task reminder on mail.
  • Integration with google calendar to give visibility of daily meetings.
  • Custom views to save filters.
  • Certain restrictions such as not allowing everyone to change the deal owner.

We use HubSpot CRM to track any touches, meetings, and contacts. It has been helpful in tracking tasks, and follow ups in a timely manner. Being able to track emails in the platform is helpful to be able to look back at to see if anyone else has had prior contact within our organization.
  • Contacts
  • Email tracking
  • Task reminders
  • Calendar within Hubspot
  • Ease of finding things
  • Better access to see associations with a company
I typically use HubSpot CRM for ways of tracking the contacts I have met with certain companies. It is helpful for when returning so I remember the name of the person I will be looking to talk to on that visit. It has made an impact on remembering the "little" things when re-visiting.
