Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I have previously worked in sales roles and used some really low-quality CRMs and have tested many. Moving to a company that uses HubSpot was a breath of fresh air, although it appears confusing at first, the navigation is really simple to use and the system offers a number of 'behind the scenes' tools to compliment anyone in a sales role.
  • Client activity
  • Adding clients to CRM easily
  • Easy navigation
  • The app doesnt allow you to track backwards
I know a number of people in the industry I used to work in would find HubSpot's benefits really beneficial.

We use HubSpot ourselves, plus recommend it and resell it to our customers.
We reviewed, demoed and trialled quite a few of marketing automation software, and HubSpot just stroke us for the amazing community that goes around it and the philosophy.
It's not only a piece of software, it's also an academy, a place to learn and a community.
We use the software itself for everything to do with our inbound marketing, including website hosting and design, blogging, landing pages creation, email marketing, analytics and the CRM.
It's used predominantly by me as the marketing executive, but other parts of the organisation are also starting to use it more and more.
  • Analytics: gives you a clear understanding of what is working, what isn't, what needs adjusting and where the traffic is coming from.
  • CRM: auto-populates the CRM with the information from the users, saving us lots of time and making our sales process super simple.
  • Blogging: absolutely great in not only helping with the writing and design of the blog, but also with the SEO optimisation.
  • Contextual marketing and smart content: change the content based on who is visiting the website.
  • CRM: although it's great, it only tracks data from the moment the user registers itself on the website, whereas other platforms can go backwards and track the data from the first time that user has been on the website even if they weren't registered back then. However, with recent updates, HubSpot is going in that direction and therefore I don't think we are far from getting that.
  • Quite a lot of great features, like the reporting add-on and the paid advertising one, are extra and you have to pay more to get them.
  • Flexibility with organising content and campaigns in folders.
It's very well-suited for any business looking to be serious with their inbound marketing. I strongly recommend it in most cases. The only scenarios when I don't recommend it is if it's a very small company with not a large budget, a very small mailing list and who won't need much activity around inbound to generate interest at the beginning. However, as they grow and want to do more, I definitely recommend switching over.

As a HubSpot partner agency, we use the platform in several different comprehensive ways. Our sales team uses it to track and manage prospects and deals as they move through the sales pipeline. The marketing team consistently uses it to manage the entire website as well the content we produce, the leads we generate, keyword and page analysis, you name it. The client services team uses it as a tool to manage client sites and all their marketing and campaign efforts under one roof so they can track their websites results. Ultimately, the platform shows you every day the ROI you receive when you view the Dashboard revealing your site's goals and how close( or above) you are with them.
  • List management tool really allows you to compile almost anything you can think of, whether you want a list based on contact properties, demographics, locations, etc., it's easy to be able to collect the list you want.
  • Content management using the calendar to schedule posts for the month while creating the post for you so you can click through to it and begin writing. This makes it easy to stay organized and on top of your planned content for the month.
  • WYSIWYG Template editor is a great tool to use for those who aren't fluent in developing by hand. It helps you manage your website pages on your own. It is a highly user-friendly environment. And if you're ever confused, there's always the tutorials and documentation to help you out.
  • Emails are always a pain to get looking nicely in the big email clients, unless you really keep them to the bare minimum. It would be nice to see some prebuilt email templates, or, a better UI to create the emails so they have the potential to look more attractive.
  • Hubspot support does an excellent job of getting most questions answered, although it would be useful on occasion to have access to asking very complex questions to developers, rather than waiting for the support rep to ask them for you.
  • There is a decent learning curve to using the software to its full potential and it's definitely a time investment to do so, yet worth it in the end if you are able to understand it.
Hubspot is an excellent tool with a wide range of features. Whether you are looking to take hold of your content marketing efforts and better manage them, or just want an easier way to track your website traffic and conversions. Hubspot is a robust platform that gives you the capability to see the full scope of your marketing efforts across the board.

Hubspot is primarily used in the day-to-day by the marketing team, and frequently used by our field sales reps. It allows us to both create content for our customers through blogs, emails and landing pages, and also host external content we've created to better utilize it in multiple places. This also helps with lead scoring, which the sales team in turn use to better target prospects more interested in our products and services.
  • Blogging
  • Email
  • Web page design
  • Bugs in blog and email performance analytics
  • UI changes frequently without significant improvements
  • Difficult to implement built-in search functionality to blogs without paying for Google Search
For marketing teams interested in doing more blogging, targeted emails and content sharing, and want a single platform that allows them to do all of this in one place and better analyze their data and metrics, Hubspot is a strong choice. It's probably not best suited for very small teams, or teams with "captive" audiences such as schools or strictly internal marketing teams who don't need to actively attract unknown prospects and convert them into qualified leads.

We're a HubSpot partner agency and use HubSpot in two ways: for our own marketing and sales activities; for our clients to maximise their return on investment and marketing campaigns. Our entire organisation gets involved from business owners wanting the big picture, to marketing to run campaigns, to sales to start more sales conversations.
  • Unifies disparate marketing tools and platforms and helps them talk to each other
  • It provides a simple interface to enable productivity at any level
  • Offers a great suppot network from other users to HubSpot themselves
  • Some additional tools need to be used depending on your needs, to compliment HubSpot's platform
  • The keyword research part of the platform is much weaker compared to other areas
  • Add-ons are quite expensive, SSL certificates, for example
HubSpot works well for companies looking to engage with prospects earlier in their buying decision, especially those making large purchase decisions. It also helps less experienced marketers to bring all the relevant data into one place and perform marketing activities in a complete end-to-end lifecycle. Even without the marketing platform, HubSpot's free CRM will enable much better sales processes.

We are working all our marketing actions and efforts in hubspot and our sales team is ready to work with the CRM. We want to obtan leads via our website and hubspot is helping us.
  • Social publishing
  • SEO
  • Analytics
  • Automatic reports
  • Telemarketing app
  • Backlinks qualification
If you have a startup and you want to play with the big fish, you should use hubspot to be at the same level. Also in case you are a small business and want to obtains leads, it's a good way to create your website as a sales person. If you are a big company with differents brands, you can control all of your marketing through hubspot.

As Inbound Marketers we use HubSpot to run our Inbound campaigns, from landing pages with CTA's and forms, to using the automation tools for our lead nurturing emails.
We are also HubSpot Partners and promote the tool to our own clients. The clients that have bought into HubSpot have seen major results using this great tool along with ourselves in the company.

HubSpot touches many of our departments. Predominately our Inbound Department, but also Sales, and Development.

It has addressed the need to fully nurture our leads through the use of landing pages and forms and following up with personalised emails

  • User Interface
  • Made for someone who is unfamiliar to any type of marketing software
  • The workflows tool allows you to setup some really smart marketing automation.
  • Ease of use
  • Integrates with lots more software
  • Improvements for agencies who manage multiple client social accounts
  • Improvements on Sidekick - when email sent to multiple users the notifications always say "Someone open your email" not that individuals name
  • Better ease of use when looking through the images window
Perfect product for business who want to know their customer more and tailor their content more towards their needs

We use the system to track our leads. We also use it for marketing and PR. This tool has allowed me to streamline my marketing and sales efforts. I can schedule, publish and analyze social media posts for multiple platforms in one place. They then connect back to our campaigns for a nice "event" recap. We can see where our leads and sales are coming from, who is on the site, and what they are looking at. With the Sidekick integration we can log and track those emails back into the system so multiple users can access the information. It is easy to use.
  • Lead and source tracking.
  • Social media posting across multiple platforms.
  • Managing workflows as well as "event" campaigns.
  • Reporting.
  • Email/Outlook integration.
  • More detailed user permissions.
  • Exporting ability to include attachments and notes history.
I think HubSpot is a good fit for a company that is looking for a clean way to manage a lot of information in one centralized location.

We use HubSpot in the whole organization. From sales to marketing to content creation to email we all use HubSpot. Also we use the CRM that is additionally [provided] by HubSpot which makes it great to track our calls with clients and helps us in our sales process. It really helps us to do better business.
  • If you add the Chrome Extension in your Gmail you'll be able to not only track who's opend your e-mails also you can see what pages on your website they've read. This helps in calls when you're trying to sell something because you can see exactly if your client/lead has checked stuff already.
  • The monitoring option in HubSpot is awesome to track all different social media accounts at once - makes life so easy! You can even retweet, like, and comment via the same page.
  • It seems that when I'm blogging HubSpot uses 'autosave' although sometimes it just automatically refreshes the whole page without me pressing any buttons or asking for it and then it leaves me without content. So I have to start all over again. Has happened already 3 or 4 times.
  • Auto resizing in the filemanager doesn't work perfect, also when you add alt-text to your images it doesnt always save this. Later if you check your page for SEO optimazion it says there's alt-text missing.
If you want to grow your business, have more time for sales because all else is automated I'd highly recommend HubSpot. Also recommend it If you're willing to invest in growing your business, because it ain't cheap. But it's worth every penny. When you're ok with the business you're in and don't really feel like you need more customers HubSpot is probably a waste of money. Although the free CRM is very neat and will be a good addition for EVERY business owner.

We are currently using HubSpot for marketing automation, lead scoring, and nurture campaigns. We will soon migrate our blog content into HubSpot blogging system as well. The entire company uses HubSpot. Our sales teams look to HubSpot for insight on the leads coming into the database, our support team leverages HubSpot's custom event tracking (Enterprise edition) for insights, and our Marketing team certainly uses HubSpot for analytics, email, and insights. For the most part, HubSpot helps solve a few problems for us. One particular pain point is iterating and adjusting on-boarding campaigns to improve new user acquisition. We also use HubSpot's technology to present new information to our customers and website visitors based on their pervious interactions or lifecycle stages. This type of interaction helps create a more meaningful experience.
  • Email automation: HubSpot excels at email automation, nurturing, personalization, and deployment. Although a few improvements can be made for Salesforce email automation, there are plenty of powerful workarounds & workflows to help you accomplish your goals.
  • A/B Testing: HubSpot is a great tool for A/B testing content & subject lines in emails. They are also great for Landing Pages.
  • Workflows: HubSpot's workflows tools is amazing. It's easy to use and highly customizable.
  • New Feature Releases & Improvements: HubSpot is amazing about listening to customer feedback and implementing their new features FAST.
  • HubSpot could use some help with their "SMarketing" or Smart Marketing Analytics. Their tools are great, but a little cumbersome to work with for analytics reporting.
  • HubSpot could improve their dashboards, but to my knowledge they are working on this and it should be available soon.. so i'll be looking forward to that.
  • HubSpot should improve some more customization around email automation. In particular, I'm referring to the ability to insert tokens based on the Sales Person who owns the record. Right now it's a bit difficult to insert custom tokens without some pretty heavy work arounds.
1. Ask about scalability, especially if you are looking for a platform to grow with you.
2. Ask about reporting and analytics. You should care about how easy it is to report on multiple points of entry and attribution. The analytics around attribution and the ROI / Revenue that comes from it is important to understand... so find out how good they are and if they'll meet your needs.
3. Ask about grouping & segmentation. You should care about how easy it is to segment your database.
4. Ask about on-boarding time and difficulty.

We use HubSpot as the primary platform for content creation and publishing to our clients' sites and social channels. It is utilized across the whole organization, which I believe gives us visibility and access to understand and stay updated as a team on what is happening for each [client]. This helps with collaboration, planning, organizing, and reporting -- all things that are critical to the success of the results we deliver!
  • Auto publishing - it's a great tool to get content out at the same time on a blog and social channels.
  • Page Performance - this is my "go-to" tool for reporting. It gathers so much information about what users are doing and not doing, and helps identify what recommendations or changes need to be implemented.
  • Smart lists - these are great for segmenting. They're super helpful for analysis, and I use them to help determine offer downloads based on activities, lifecycle stages, and much, much more!
  • CRM - it would be great to see more customization available in this area. It's relatively new, so I anticipate that will come with time.
  • Custom reporting
  • Date ranges - the ability to compare year over year, more in-depth ranges for analysis.

Well suited for small businesses - it's a great tool that can work for you, streamline, and create consistency, analytics and one place to go for user info/behavior/content/etc.

Medium size businesses - may have a hard time justifying tiered account levels based on number of contacts. As with other businesses at this stage, justifying the marketing spend can be difficult, since growth is prime and marketing dollars/spend is typically low.

We use Hubspot in the Marketing Department for our organization. It addresses lead nurturing when a prospect is going through the funnel so that we can send them offers and updates through email to keep them engaged while allowing us to monitor open/click rates of those emails. It also helps us run more accurate reporting and reach out to specific groups of people we want to target with our email marketing. It keeps our prospects' information neat and organized as well.
  • They don't just give you "How To" articles to teach you how to use their product, they give you an entire online class experience to show you exactly how to use every function and how it could be useful to you and your company. They even teach you how to improve your knowledge and skills in the marketing field.
  • Their support engineers are the best support team out there. I am delighted to call them any time I run into an issue or come across something I don't understand and would like their insight on. They happily double check my work to make sure that I am doing exactly what I am setting out to do while working to improve it if they have ideas. I seriously LOVE their customer service.
  • Easy to use and functional in all areas of marketing.
  • I do wish that their Sales CRM tool integrated with their marketing tool better or at least mimicked it in certain ways. Such as making it easier to create lists of prospects based on characteristics and activities.
I think it is well suited for both beginners and experts in the marketing field, but especially great for beginners and start up companies who need a great marketing system to navigate them to success. It may be less appropriate for very large companies but it's hard to say as I have only ever used them at the start up I work for.

We use HubSpot in our marketing and sales departments, and with it, we have seen massive improvements in inbound marketing, client retention and lead generation. HubSpot makes it easier for each department to see how their efforts are affecting sales. Being able to manage projects within HubSpot is a big change, and the integration of project templates makes it so easy to use.
  • Ease of use
  • Great support and customer service
  • Has all the features that most people need
  • Email integration can be a problem
  • It's quite pricey
  • Social media streams can only be set up for twitter
HubSpot is definitely well suited for a medium sized company that is marketing to other medium sized companies. The price might not be ideal for the smaller companies or ones just starting out with marketing.

Hubspot is being used across our whole organization in every department.

We're using Hubspot to integrate our clients' marketing efforts more effectively and for our own market and sales marketing.

We're using its automation for email, calls-to-action, CRM, reporting, workflows, SEO, CMS, lead scoring etc. It's an excellent tool for sales and lead nurturing.

The new features are excellent!

  • HubSpot has a lot of support built in with the Academy and related blogs, videos and webinars.
  • Allowing sales and marketing to work well together
  • Blog hosting
  • Email tracking is probably my favourite feature. We know the actions a user takes from the moment we send out an email.
  • Experience. Need to be an advanced user for more of the difficult tasks, for example it is hard to make the landing pages look great.
  • Cost on some of the functionalities.
Its a great all in one platform that can improve your marketing strategies and practices. It is great for those looking for a serious change to their marketing practices.

At our company, HubSpot is currently being used by the marketing and sales departments. It has been huge in helping us level up our automation, inbound marketing, and personalization. Sales loves being able to see exactly what activities a user has taken on our site and when. From a marketing perspective, it makes it easier to identify marketing qualified leads.
  • Personalization
  • Workflow/lead generation automation
  • Sales
  • Salesforce integration
  • Our data is structured many to one and HubSpot is more set up to handle one to one data structures. That has been our biggest challenge.
It's well suited for personalization and data optimization. It's also great for easily passing leads on to your sales team. It's not as well suited when trying to manage contacts who are associated with multiple "companies" or "products" you might be trying to sell them.

It is currently being used only by those involved with marketing, but with the launch of the Projects functionality, it will definitely be used by a larger portion of our company in the near future. Being able to manage projects within HubSpot is a big change, and the integration of Project templates makes it so easy to use.
  • Hubspot makes it easy to track, label and manage contacts easily.
  • Hubspot makes it very easy to push something out on all of my major social media platforms.
  • Hubspot has a lot of support built in with the Academy and related blog, webinars and videos.
  • I would like to be able to tag someone in a Facebook post I'm making.
  • I would like to be able to add more social platforms to the Monitoring features.
  • I would like to be able to schedule social posts based on my blog post at the same time that I'm making the blog post.
Anytime a small company is trying to set itself apart in the marketplace with a strong, consistent online presence, HubSpot should be considered. It is very engaging, the trainings are fun, and you can literally start with no experience and learn the whole system. I also highly recommend the books written by the founders of HubSpot, as it helps to conceptualize the ideas behind inbound marketing.

  • Other integrations
  • I'm very happy with Hubspot so far.

We use HubSpot to direct people through the entire marketing funnel, but we specifically replaced other platforms that performed these functions for us:

  • Email Marketing
  • Email Automation
  • Contact Forms
  • Simple Surveys
  • Landing Pages
HubSpot is also integrated with Salesforce through the API connector.
  • Equips you to walk a customer through the buyer's journey.
  • One stop shop for all your marketing needs.
  • Integrates well with other products.
  • Reporting tools need to be more useful.
  • The COS is not as user-friendly as at is trying to be.
I assume it excels for B2B's. As a non-profit, it does take some work to get HubSpot setup for our unique needs. It is flexible enough that we are able to make it work. Other tools weren't.

Hubspot is used within our firm to enable our inbound marketing - creating content, managing social media, contact pipeline management, and providing eDM capabilities.
  • Flexibility - the marketing applications from the software are really broad. Gives a great degree of freedom to execute your marketing strategy.
  • User training support - the Academy and Certification processes are excellent. Coming in with no experience in Hubspot or inbound - no problem. Thorough documentation, walk-throughs and ed materials available online 24/7
  • The flexibility of the system can almost give you too many options upfront. Some guidelines between what's mandatory, basic and advanced uses would be good.
HubSpot is excellent for a firm with no other CRM/marketing automation tools and that is starting from scratch.

HubSpot is used by my entire team. I require that every member of our team get their Inbound Marketing Certification and HubSpot Certification (at a minimum) because it's so important to ours and our clients' success. HubSpot is a great tool that allows us to manage our entire campaigns in one dashboard and successfully determine what's working, what's not, and possible reasons for both.
  • Tech Support - They are amazingly responsive and helpful when you call in or email them. They work with you until your problem is completely solved. I've never gotten off the phone with them irritated because I didn't get the problem fixed (like most tech support services). They're awesome at customer service.
  • Training - Their training program is intensive and time consuming, but definitely worth it. They do a fantastic job getting everyone educated on their software so that each person can get the most out of it.
  • Technology - They continuously come out with improvements, changes, and ideas. They're working really hard to stay ahead of the curve which, as a marketer, is very nice.
  • Scalability - no matter how big your business gets, HubSpot can grow with it.
  • All-In-One - We used to spend far too much time switching back and forth between different programs, websites, and softwares. HubSpot has eliminated that issue!
  • Exportable Reports - This one is annoying when reporting to a client that doesn't want to be involved in their portal, but it hasn't been a big issue. Hopefully it'll be changed soon.
  • Pricing - It can be a little expensive, but that isn't to say it's not worth it. It's the best tool we've ever used and would pay for it even if we weren't a Partner Agency.
It's great for any business taking their digital marketing serious. It's not for someone that wants to just dip a toe into digital marketing. If you're going to use HubSpot, you better be diving in full force. It's a fantastic tool, but it's not meant for the "sometimes" marketers. Dive in!

We use HubSpot for all of our content marketing, web/user experience, e-mail marketing, analytics, CRM, and lead generation. HubSpot is vital to our organization in that our entire marketing and sales process is effectively run thru the software. HubSpot has provided us with the important enabling tool that has allowed us to build an inbound marketing strategy.
  • HubSpot provides the structure and tools to allow for effective content marketing - especially blogging.
  • HubSpot customer service is outstanding. This is mission critical for a small business with a limited marketing staff.
  • The e-mail functionality between HubSpot and Outlook requires additional work and careful attention. Images can get messed up and formatting can get a little weird.
  • It would be great if HubSport would lower the cost thresholds for the number of contacts that can be stored. We have to carefully manage our lead generation database so that we keep our totals with their cost parameters.
HubSpot is the ideal marketing automation software for small businesses looking to increase the effectiveness of their marketing strategy and execution. The software is affordable, loaded with a lot of great functionality and they have outstanding customer support.

Currently we use HubSpot as our marketing automation platform. We use it for promotion email, marketing email, industry email, AdWords, Google Analytics, Blog, landing pages, etc.
  • The email platform is really easy to navigate and use.
  • The new workflow platform is easy to understand a contacts path and visualize outcomes.
  • Integration with the CRM is seamless.
  • Not being able to export a view of contacts on the CRM side.
  • Projects and calendar app is not connected. This limits the ability for the system to be used as a project management tool.
HubSpot is great for medium sized business with marketing and sales groups that have to wear multiple hats. It tries to simplify tasks which is great in that scenario.

HubSpot is used by our marketing department to attract and convert leads. Previously, we used separate vendors for email marketing, social media and blogging. Now we use HubSpot for everything.
  • Education/Training - The HubSpot Academy is an amazing resource. You learn the ins and outs of every tool in HubSpot and tips for best use. You can also select a project by goal to get step by step advice.
  • Customer Service - If you have a question or problem that you can't solve with the Academy, there is a Help messaging center where you'll get a response very quickly. Also with HubSpot, you have a customer success advocate who sets up a quarterly phone call with your team to address issues and make sure you're getting the most out of the platform. These calls help us realize what else we could or should be doing.
  • Marketing Automation - HubSpot makes this so easy. Everything is integrated and organizational tools are there to help you track and report your analytics across all outlets.
  • Social Media Monitoring - You can only set up monitoring streams for Twitter so you can't search for trends or create a stream of mentions for Facebook.
  • Social Media Analytics - You only get analytics for posts through HubSpot and you can't post more than one photo to Facebook through the system. So anytime we have a post that includes a few photos, we have to do it through Facebook and the analytics don't get synced with HubSpot. We still do a lot of manual reporting to make sure we include all posts.
HubSpot is well suited for anyone wishing to consolidate and improve their marketing efforts. HubSpot makes social media, landing pages and email marketing way more efficient and effective.

Hubspot is used for all our marketing needs. We use the COS, content features, even sales engagement. All of our leads funnel through Hubspot. With Hubspot we are able to track a visitor across our many touchpoints down through our funnel. With this data marketing is better able to make decisions around successful campaigns.
  • Progressive profiling allows us to learn more about prospects and leads based on what we already know about them.
  • The workflows and creating nurturing campaigns are easy and allow us to personalize content better for leads and their respective needs and interests.
  • Targeting capabilities are exceptional. We can target based on actions or conversions.
  • It would be helpful if Hubspot could layer on Google Analytics so we could see visitors vs. unique visitors.
  • It would not be difficult to create an overly complex system with Hubspot. To combat that it would be good if Hubspot provided more best practice content and suggestions as workflows are created.
Hubspot is great for a company just starting with inbound marketing, or someone making the switch. It wouldn't work as well if the processes are based on systems not currently able to integrate. Also, if your business is not willing to let go of some features, like in templates or such, this might not be the best fit (but I recommend you re-evaluate your needs if that is the case, you might just be afraid of change).

We use it for tracking, blogs, emails, sales, pretty much everything. It's only used by me. It addresses which leads are hot since we know what people are doing on our site.
  • Email Tracking is one thing it does best. We know exactly what someone does from the moment we send that email out.
  • The Prospecting tool is really helpful because it's like google analytics but with more detail on who is coming to the site.
Its well suited for blogs and emails.
