Reviews
(151-175 of 654)My favourite CRM is HubSpot
- Client activity
- Adding clients to CRM easily
- Easy navigation
- The app doesnt allow you to track backwards
You can't go wrong with HubSpot
We reviewed, demoed and trialled quite a few of marketing automation software, and HubSpot just stroke us for the amazing community that goes around it and the philosophy.
It's not only a piece of software, it's also an academy, a place to learn and a community.
We use the software itself for everything to do with our inbound marketing, including website hosting and design, blogging, landing pages creation, email marketing, analytics and the CRM.
It's used predominantly by me as the marketing executive, but other parts of the organisation are also starting to use it more and more.
- Analytics: gives you a clear understanding of what is working, what isn't, what needs adjusting and where the traffic is coming from.
- CRM: auto-populates the CRM with the information from the users, saving us lots of time and making our sales process super simple.
- Blogging: absolutely great in not only helping with the writing and design of the blog, but also with the SEO optimisation.
- Contextual marketing and smart content: change the content based on who is visiting the website.
- CRM: although it's great, it only tracks data from the moment the user registers itself on the website, whereas other platforms can go backwards and track the data from the first time that user has been on the website even if they weren't registered back then. However, with recent updates, HubSpot is going in that direction and therefore I don't think we are far from getting that.
- Quite a lot of great features, like the reporting add-on and the paid advertising one, are extra and you have to pay more to get them.
- Flexibility with organising content and campaigns in folders.
Great Product for Comprehensive Marketing Needs
- List management tool really allows you to compile almost anything you can think of, whether you want a list based on contact properties, demographics, locations, etc., it's easy to be able to collect the list you want.
- Content management using the calendar to schedule posts for the month while creating the post for you so you can click through to it and begin writing. This makes it easy to stay organized and on top of your planned content for the month.
- WYSIWYG Template editor is a great tool to use for those who aren't fluent in developing by hand. It helps you manage your website pages on your own. It is a highly user-friendly environment. And if you're ever confused, there's always the tutorials and documentation to help you out.
- Emails are always a pain to get looking nicely in the big email clients, unless you really keep them to the bare minimum. It would be nice to see some prebuilt email templates, or, a better UI to create the emails so they have the potential to look more attractive.
- Hubspot support does an excellent job of getting most questions answered, although it would be useful on occasion to have access to asking very complex questions to developers, rather than waiting for the support rep to ask them for you.
- There is a decent learning curve to using the software to its full potential and it's definitely a time investment to do so, yet worth it in the end if you are able to understand it.
HubSpot works
- Blogging
- Email
- Web page design
- Bugs in blog and email performance analytics
- UI changes frequently without significant improvements
- Difficult to implement built-in search functionality to blogs without paying for Google Search
You will not regret the decision to move to HubSpot!
- Unifies disparate marketing tools and platforms and helps them talk to each other
- It provides a simple interface to enable productivity at any level
- Offers a great suppot network from other users to HubSpot themselves
- Some additional tools need to be used depending on your needs, to compliment HubSpot's platform
- The keyword research part of the platform is much weaker compared to other areas
- Add-ons are quite expensive, SSL certificates, for example
HubSpot, my experience and recomendation
- Social publishing
- SEO
- Analytics
- Automatic reports
- Telemarketing app
- Backlinks qualification
HubSpot Review
We are also HubSpot Partners and promote the tool to our own clients. The clients that have bought into HubSpot have seen major results using this great tool along with ourselves in the company.
HubSpot touches many of our departments. Predominately our Inbound Department, but also Sales, and Development.
It has addressed the need to fully nurture our leads through the use of landing pages and forms and following up with personalised emails
- User Interface
- Made for someone who is unfamiliar to any type of marketing software
- The workflows tool allows you to setup some really smart marketing automation.
- Ease of use
- Integrates with lots more software
- Improvements for agencies who manage multiple client social accounts
- Improvements on Sidekick - when email sent to multiple users the notifications always say "Someone open your email" not that individuals name
- Better ease of use when looking through the images window
Great, easy to use tool!
- Lead and source tracking.
- Social media posting across multiple platforms.
- Managing workflows as well as "event" campaigns.
- Reporting.
- Email/Outlook integration.
- More detailed user permissions.
- Exporting ability to include attachments and notes history.
The best Marketing Automation tool since sliced bread!
- If you add the Chrome Extension in your Gmail you'll be able to not only track who's opend your e-mails also you can see what pages on your website they've read. This helps in calls when you're trying to sell something because you can see exactly if your client/lead has checked stuff already.
- The monitoring option in HubSpot is awesome to track all different social media accounts at once - makes life so easy! You can even retweet, like, and comment via the same page.
- It seems that when I'm blogging HubSpot uses 'autosave' although sometimes it just automatically refreshes the whole page without me pressing any buttons or asking for it and then it leaves me without content. So I have to start all over again. Has happened already 3 or 4 times.
- Auto resizing in the filemanager doesn't work perfect, also when you add alt-text to your images it doesnt always save this. Later if you check your page for SEO optimazion it says there's alt-text missing.
Marketing Automation Platform for Growth
- Email automation: HubSpot excels at email automation, nurturing, personalization, and deployment. Although a few improvements can be made for Salesforce email automation, there are plenty of powerful workarounds & workflows to help you accomplish your goals.
- A/B Testing: HubSpot is a great tool for A/B testing content & subject lines in emails. They are also great for Landing Pages.
- Workflows: HubSpot's workflows tools is amazing. It's easy to use and highly customizable.
- New Feature Releases & Improvements: HubSpot is amazing about listening to customer feedback and implementing their new features FAST.
- HubSpot could use some help with their "SMarketing" or Smart Marketing Analytics. Their tools are great, but a little cumbersome to work with for analytics reporting.
- HubSpot could improve their dashboards, but to my knowledge they are working on this and it should be available soon.. so i'll be looking forward to that.
- HubSpot should improve some more customization around email automation. In particular, I'm referring to the ability to insert tokens based on the Sales Person who owns the record. Right now it's a bit difficult to insert custom tokens without some pretty heavy work arounds.
2. Ask about reporting and analytics. You should care about how easy it is to report on multiple points of entry and attribution. The analytics around attribution and the ROI / Revenue that comes from it is important to understand... so find out how good they are and if they'll meet your needs.
3. Ask about grouping & segmentation. You should care about how easy it is to segment your database.
4. Ask about on-boarding time and difficulty.
HubSpot = Heaven!
- Auto publishing - it's a great tool to get content out at the same time on a blog and social channels.
- Page Performance - this is my "go-to" tool for reporting. It gathers so much information about what users are doing and not doing, and helps identify what recommendations or changes need to be implemented.
- Smart lists - these are great for segmenting. They're super helpful for analysis, and I use them to help determine offer downloads based on activities, lifecycle stages, and much, much more!
- CRM - it would be great to see more customization available in this area. It's relatively new, so I anticipate that will come with time.
- Custom reporting
- Date ranges - the ability to compare year over year, more in-depth ranges for analysis.
Well suited for small businesses - it's a great tool that can work for you, streamline, and create consistency, analytics and one place to go for user info/behavior/content/etc.
Medium size businesses - may have a hard time justifying tiered account levels based on number of contacts. As with other businesses at this stage, justifying the marketing spend can be difficult, since growth is prime and marketing dollars/spend is typically low.
Hubspot has my heart
- They don't just give you "How To" articles to teach you how to use their product, they give you an entire online class experience to show you exactly how to use every function and how it could be useful to you and your company. They even teach you how to improve your knowledge and skills in the marketing field.
- Their support engineers are the best support team out there. I am delighted to call them any time I run into an issue or come across something I don't understand and would like their insight on. They happily double check my work to make sure that I am doing exactly what I am setting out to do while working to improve it if they have ideas. I seriously LOVE their customer service.
- Easy to use and functional in all areas of marketing.
- I do wish that their Sales CRM tool integrated with their marketing tool better or at least mimicked it in certain ways. Such as making it easier to create lists of prospects based on characteristics and activities.
HubSpot - great product, has more than enough for most users
- Ease of use
- Great support and customer service
- Has all the features that most people need
- Email integration can be a problem
- It's quite pricey
- Social media streams can only be set up for twitter
HubSpot - The best all in one inbound software
Hubspot is being used across our whole organization in every department.
We're using Hubspot to integrate our clients' marketing efforts more effectively and for our own market and sales marketing.
We're using its automation for email, calls-to-action, CRM, reporting, workflows, SEO, CMS, lead scoring etc. It's an excellent tool for sales and lead nurturing.
The new features are excellent!
- HubSpot has a lot of support built in with the Academy and related blogs, videos and webinars.
- Allowing sales and marketing to work well together
- Blog hosting
- Email tracking is probably my favourite feature. We know the actions a user takes from the moment we send out an email.
- Experience. Need to be an advanced user for more of the difficult tasks, for example it is hard to make the landing pages look great.
- Cost on some of the functionalities.
Leveling up with HubSpot
- Personalization
- Workflow/lead generation automation
- Sales
- Salesforce integration
- Our data is structured many to one and HubSpot is more set up to handle one to one data structures. That has been our biggest challenge.
- Hubspot makes it easy to track, label and manage contacts easily.
- Hubspot makes it very easy to push something out on all of my major social media platforms.
- Hubspot has a lot of support built in with the Academy and related blog, webinars and videos.
- I would like to be able to tag someone in a Facebook post I'm making.
- I would like to be able to add more social platforms to the Monitoring features.
- I would like to be able to schedule social posts based on my blog post at the same time that I'm making the blog post.
Hubspot is my JAM!
- Social Publishing: the ability to post, monitor, and interact with all social networks in one place
- Sales Integration: allowing sales and marketing to work well together
- Other integrations
- I'm very happy with Hubspot so far.
Non-profit marketing needs met.
We use HubSpot to direct people through the entire marketing funnel, but we specifically replaced other platforms that performed these functions for us:
- Email Marketing
- Email Automation
- Contact Forms
- Simple Surveys
- Landing Pages
- Equips you to walk a customer through the buyer's journey.
- One stop shop for all your marketing needs.
- Integrates well with other products.
- Reporting tools need to be more useful.
- The COS is not as user-friendly as at is trying to be.
Great software for a firm starting inbound from scratch.
- Flexibility - the marketing applications from the software are really broad. Gives a great degree of freedom to execute your marketing strategy.
- User training support - the Academy and Certification processes are excellent. Coming in with no experience in Hubspot or inbound - no problem. Thorough documentation, walk-throughs and ed materials available online 24/7
- The flexibility of the system can almost give you too many options upfront. Some guidelines between what's mandatory, basic and advanced uses would be good.
HubSpot hits the spot
- Tech Support - They are amazingly responsive and helpful when you call in or email them. They work with you until your problem is completely solved. I've never gotten off the phone with them irritated because I didn't get the problem fixed (like most tech support services). They're awesome at customer service.
- Training - Their training program is intensive and time consuming, but definitely worth it. They do a fantastic job getting everyone educated on their software so that each person can get the most out of it.
- Technology - They continuously come out with improvements, changes, and ideas. They're working really hard to stay ahead of the curve which, as a marketer, is very nice.
- Scalability - no matter how big your business gets, HubSpot can grow with it.
- All-In-One - We used to spend far too much time switching back and forth between different programs, websites, and softwares. HubSpot has eliminated that issue!
- Exportable Reports - This one is annoying when reporting to a client that doesn't want to be involved in their portal, but it hasn't been a big issue. Hopefully it'll be changed soon.
- Pricing - It can be a little expensive, but that isn't to say it's not worth it. It's the best tool we've ever used and would pay for it even if we weren't a Partner Agency.
HubSpot - A Great Mktg Automation Tool For Small Biz
- HubSpot provides the structure and tools to allow for effective content marketing - especially blogging.
- HubSpot customer service is outstanding. This is mission critical for a small business with a limited marketing staff.
- The e-mail functionality between HubSpot and Outlook requires additional work and careful attention. Images can get messed up and formatting can get a little weird.
- It would be great if HubSport would lower the cost thresholds for the number of contacts that can be stored. We have to carefully manage our lead generation database so that we keep our totals with their cost parameters.
Analyst's Review of HubSpot
- The email platform is really easy to navigate and use.
- The new workflow platform is easy to understand a contacts path and visualize outcomes.
- Integration with the CRM is seamless.
- Not being able to export a view of contacts on the CRM side.
- Projects and calendar app is not connected. This limits the ability for the system to be used as a project management tool.
Love HubSpot
- Education/Training - The HubSpot Academy is an amazing resource. You learn the ins and outs of every tool in HubSpot and tips for best use. You can also select a project by goal to get step by step advice.
- Customer Service - If you have a question or problem that you can't solve with the Academy, there is a Help messaging center where you'll get a response very quickly. Also with HubSpot, you have a customer success advocate who sets up a quarterly phone call with your team to address issues and make sure you're getting the most out of the platform. These calls help us realize what else we could or should be doing.
- Marketing Automation - HubSpot makes this so easy. Everything is integrated and organizational tools are there to help you track and report your analytics across all outlets.
- Social Media Monitoring - You can only set up monitoring streams for Twitter so you can't search for trends or create a stream of mentions for Facebook.
- Social Media Analytics - You only get analytics for posts through HubSpot and you can't post more than one photo to Facebook through the system. So anytime we have a post that includes a few photos, we have to do it through Facebook and the analytics don't get synced with HubSpot. We still do a lot of manual reporting to make sure we include all posts.
Hubspot makes tracking inbound marketing easy
- Progressive profiling allows us to learn more about prospects and leads based on what we already know about them.
- The workflows and creating nurturing campaigns are easy and allow us to personalize content better for leads and their respective needs and interests.
- Targeting capabilities are exceptional. We can target based on actions or conversions.
- It would be helpful if Hubspot could layer on Google Analytics so we could see visitors vs. unique visitors.
- It would not be difficult to create an overly complex system with Hubspot. To combat that it would be good if Hubspot provided more best practice content and suggestions as workflows are created.
Hubspot Rocks!
- Email Tracking is one thing it does best. We know exactly what someone does from the moment we send that email out.
- The Prospecting tool is really helpful because it's like google analytics but with more detail on who is coming to the site.
