Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I have only used Constant Contact before, which isn't a comparable solution. However, for emails alone, HubSpot knocks it out of the park compared to CC. The customization, templates, and even company atmosphere are hard to beat.

Salesforce.com, Eloqua, Marketo, and Adobe Test & Target.

While the functionality in each is slightly different, Hubspot for us offered the most complete offering at a price that we could handle. We already have a business management system, so Hubspot is purely used for marketing. We naturally did not have a massive budget, and Hubspot fit perfect in that constraint.

HubSpot gives me control over my site and educates me in best practices that are current in the market. My former webmaster didn't keep up with the trends and our online rankings fell. I have confidence in the coaching that HubSpot provides.

  • Eloqua
Eloqua is a great platform. It's built for a larger organization with people who have more time to gain the skills needed to be an Eloqua Master. I know a few Eloqua Masters and I've taken a few Eloqua classes. It's a harder tool to learn how to use. I run a lean mean marketing machine and HubSpot got me up and running faster and easier. I practically trained myself.

The functionality was at a level where we could use it right out the gate, and upgrade if necessary. The price was also within our budget range. Having had previous experience with HubSpot I was able to knowledgeably support its adoption internally. Marketo was out of our price range, and our website wasn't able to support some of the functionality that HubSpot didn't offer but Marketo did.

We looked at an SEO consulting company and also considered launching a blog on a totally different platform, but none of these "point solutions" offered the full suite of offerings from Hubspot. The low-cost and full feature set of Hubspot made it the clear choice, so we quickly eliminated alternatives

Eloqua, Bronto, Marketo, Optify.

Eloqua and Optify were ruled out immediately because they were too expensive.

Bronto didn't have the features we wanted.

Marketo and HubSpot were really the two contenders. Ultimately, we chose HubSpot over Marketo because we loved the Apple-like UI. The product has a very intuitive design which was very appealing.

Also, Marketo charged a couple of thousand dollars to have someone come to our offices and get the system up and running. This seemed like a liot of expense. In hindsight, however, it would probably have been a good idea. We have struggled in getting HubSpot to work they way we want it to.
