Do the initial training to ensure you get the most out of the platform right off the bat. Read the blogs and keep track of the updates otherwise you'll miss new functionality! We regularly downloaded the white papers and participated in webinars - either one off or the series. There's always something new to learn from the HubSpot team.

I would make sure to tell them all of the things that have been an improvement for us with HubSpot. Before we were using multiple services to do all the things that HubSpot does. Because it encompasses all of those areas it makes it more convenient and efficient of a system. As well as all about the great customer service and the ease of use.

My best advice would be to invest as much time as possible to get the maximum benefit. You will be the most successful and LEARN so much if you watch the webinars, do the training and put your maximum efforts into it. Be prepared to hit some obstacles (as with anything) and consult one of the Hubspot reps for what package will work with your website - i.e. I have the basic Hubspot package - but this made it very limiting and difficult to convert my website.

If you have the budget, HubSpot can easily replace 90% of the disparate tools you may currently be using to run marketing (Website CMS, Blogging, Email Marketing/Automation, Forms, Contact Database, Analytics, Social Publishing). The user experience within the tool is less fragmented than many of the comparable systems. Once you have developers style out your landing page and email templates, your marketing team will be able to launch campaigns and publish content with minimal tech dependencies. You'll be able to use many features out of the box, but to get the most impact and integration from the robust feature set, you should consider working with a consultant who can ensure optimal setup for your unique business situation.

I believe it is important to have one or more employees dedicated to HubSpot to be sure it is monitored in a timely manner and used to it's greatest potential. All of HubSpot's tools are interrelated and it is important to understand this relationship when developing content. To focus on only a few of the elements, limits your ability to gain as much exposure as possible.

I would 100% recommend Hubspot if asked by a colleague. I would advise my colleague to ask questions and use HubSpot's support. Their job is to support their customers and answer questions and they are more than willing to help. HubSpot has endless whitepapers, blogs and webinars that are informative and helpful for using HubSpot's tools. These resources also help you to improve your day to day marketing activities. HubSpot give you the tools and resources you need, take advantage of them!

The advice that I would give a colleague that is considering Hubspot, is to take it out for a test-drive. Requesting a demo is really the best way to determine if Hubspot is a fit for any given company. Additionally, once the decision has been made to move forward with Hubspot, I would recommend diving into their plethora of materials on marketing and inbound marketing, and using those as best practices.

HubSpot wants you to succeed and this is evident through their training and ridiculously good customer support. I've never had a question go unanswered by their support team which are all live human beings that you can reach via phone or email. The training offered by HubSpot isn't just a simple few courses. Instead they have challenging exams which require a good amount of preparation.

As a life and business coach, I believe the same basic concepts apply to HubSpot: You have to work it. You cannot merely sign up for HubSpot and wait for the results to magically appear. You have to take advantage of the HubSpot Academy webinars and then apply what you learn to your business. HubSpot is for people who are serious about growing their business through inbound marketing, and the company provides the tools and support you need to do that.

If you're in a business where people might Google your product or service, I'd suggest you need to jump headfirst into content marketing. Hubspot is a great tool for that, but it's expensive. If the colleague has unlimited funds, then I would definitely suggest Hubspot for the assistance, customer support and email segmentation it provides. If the funds are limited, then I would suggest still getting into the game, but using a number of free tools to help. They won't get all the benefits, but they'll still be able to get the online conversation going.

HubSpot is a great tool, but like all great tools, results depend on the skill with which the tools are used. I would recommend that new users consider a HubSpot Certified Partner to help them implement HubSpot into their business plan and set them up for continued access. Depending on your internal resources, a new user may want to outsource their inbound marketing to a HubSpot Certified Partner.

I have recommended Hubspot in the past and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. The primary piece of advice to anyone considering using Hubspot is that trained and certified Hubspot professionals are necessary to squeeze the maximum benefit from the platform.

I'd suggest they have a specific plan in mind for onboarding of the program to their company. Have at least 1 employee that can devote 20 hours/week to learning Hubspot and spending time in the training classes. Then have a plan for the whole company to get involved in these digital marketing efforts. It's just like having an Indian with no arrows if you don't have the people/time to devote to getting the most out of the software.

My best advice is to use HubSpot's amazing Inbound Marketing Consultations and their technical support folks as much as possible. Their folks are friendly and extremely knowledgeable and very easy to reach. They have helped enhance our website tremendously. They are a pleasure to work with!

I would recommend HubSpot to a colleague if I thought they were apt to really make use of it. Without actively pursuing the educational opportunities (classes, webinars, tutorials etc.), a user may not be able to take full advantage of all of the services HubSpot offers, ultimately not making the cost worth it. However, if the colleague was clearly committed to learning more about the system, and was able to afford its adoption, I would definitely recommend HubSpot.

Plan ahead. Migrating to a new marketing automation system can be rough. Also, figure out who is going to be doing your CRM integration and really vet them. Lastly, HubSpot isn't going to magically make your marketing better--you have to put in the work of making exceptional content and then use HubSpot to deliver it to the world and measure the results.

I recommended HubSpot to my colleagues at my former employer. The customer service is one of the main reasons I recommend HubSpot. We have a knowledgeable account manager and the support team is usually very helpful. Are you looking to connect and track all of your marketing campaigns across several channels (organic search, email, social media). Do you want the ability to A/B test your emails, landing pages, and blog posts?

RECOMMENDATION

If a business has 5 or more employee's -- Hubspot is a great marketing automation software solutions. Have each member take responsibility for blogging and assign one person to each section of the dashboard. Combined with CRM it is one of the best closed-loop solutions you will find.

If Revenue-Performance Management is a part of your strategy, Hubspot is not the answer.

This is a great product for a company that does not have resources or a team of engineers. You are able to create new pages, do calls to action, A/B multivariate testing, BLOG and track leads all in one place. A great solution for small shops!

I know they increased their prices so not sure if it makes sense for companies <$1M annual revenue. I do think that if you can afford the $1,000/month or so, it should pay off. If you cannot justify this cost though, maybe you're not ready to market your product. Also, consider the extent to which inbound marketing is important to you - if important, give HubSpot some serious thought. If you have more money to spend, look at other tools that are higher-end.

To Hubspot: Please update your support documents to apply to the latest version of your application. A lot of your current documents are outdated, and because they aren't dated, I'm not sure if it applies. The database has definitely improved significantly and I think it's a much more robust experience.

It would be nice to be able to do some more page customization of landing pages. The new Content Optimization System (COS) module - an integrated website, blog and landing page system - they just released is designed to change this, but not all companies will use the COS.
