We use Hubspot Sales to run all of our deal sourcing and business development. Our team is divided into a Sales team (finding clients and partners) and a Strategy team (professional services with clients and partners). Hubspot Sales is used mostly by our Sales team.

The pipeline features align our team. Hubspot Sales has been most valuable as the single source of truth for our client and partner sales pipeline. Our teams can instantly see what deals are in the pipeline, how much revenue we expect in the next month(s), and where the bottlenecks in our sales process are.

We get huge efficiency gains from communication features. Every part of our sales process is templatized, using the Hubspot Sale Templates and Sequences features. This allows us to send around 10x the number of emails and communication to clients and partners in our pipeline, and rapidly move them through the pipeline to closed deals.
  • Automatic tracking and logging of email threads so the whole team can see the conversation with a lead and easily collaborate on closing a deal.
  • Enables our team to share best practices through testing and measuring the performance of templates, then refining and sharing email templates that work well across the whole team.
  • We get most of our business from referrals. Hubspot makes it easy to run reports to see which of our referring partners are the highest-value, so we can take action to nurture those referring partners.
Cons
  • The workflow features seem cool but are actually fairly clunky and hard to implement.
  • I really wish there were easier ways to automate communication tied to the deal stage in our sales pipeline. E.g., if I move a deal forward to a new deal stage, I wish Hubspot could automatically send an email template to the contact associated with the deal.
  • The landing pages look like crap and are somewhat hard to deploy. I use Unbounce instead.
Great use case: If you have multiple salespeople, Hubspot makes it really easy to share and hand off email threads so the whole team can see the conversation with a lead and easily collaborate on closing a deal. Bad use case: We tried to use Hubspot as a tool to track our fundraising round. I don't recommend it, it ended up being too much work to manage.

Perspective from an everyday user.

It is our main CRM. It houses all of the companies sales activities. The Sales team is currently made up of 4 members.
  • Sequences are easy to assemble.
  • Contact activity is easy to follow.
  • Integrates with ZoomInfo
Cons
  • No queue to see tasks upcoming, but have not yet been created.
Hard for me to say having only used it with a small company. I do not know how well it would scale with larger organizations, but I think it serves really well for what we are doing.

When I was using Hubspot Sales it was being used by the entire sales department, which consisted of only me. I was attracted to it for some specific functionality, but what it helped me to do was organized personalized outbound sales at scale. In sales, it's hard to keep everything organized for outbound outreach. You need to send so many emails and do so many phone calls in a certain order. Hubspot helped automate the parts that can be automated.
  • Automated followup emails. It allows you to write your best emails one time, and to select an appropriate cadence so if a prospect didn't reply to an email, it would automatically engage them.
  • The CRM is flexible and simple. It allows you to organize all sales effort in one database.
  • There is functionality that allows someone to set up a meeting without doing a lot of back and forth emails. That's helpful and I think prospects are grateful to remove that friction.
Cons
  • I haven't had the best experiences with the sales team. It seems like I navigate to the Hubspot homepage, and I have a sales rep calling me 2 minutes later.
  • I haven't had the best experiences either with their support team. I had an email just recently from a support rep that told me he wasn't actually supposed to give me support. That was weird.
  • There are some prospecting and CRM software that's coming out that helps find email addresses for cold emailing. That could be a helpful addition to Hubspot's platform.
It worked well for me at a small company and as a single sales user. I'd imagine if you were on a 50 person sales team something like Salesforce might be more appropriate. Because of the price, I also don't think it would work well for a smaller company than the one I was at. I got by for about 12 months using just the CRM and the functionality it provided. The sales platform only became appealing when we were really trying to grow aggressively, and I wanted to scale my sale efforts.

HubSpot Sales Hub is so great! We use it to organize meeting links, trackable documents, and so much more. It helps us see who checks out documents that sales send and helps get meetings booked. When meeting links are used, meeting activities are increased by over 50%. Currently, it is used in our marketing, sales, support, and customer success teams. It helps organize and track activities to see what works and how many activities happen before a demo or sale.
  • Meetings link! Way better than other software we have used!
  • Forecasting and pipelines! They work well and the HubSpot team listens to feedback and changes or updates things consistently to make it easier and better for the user.
  • Tasking within workflows! It gives marketers and managers peace of mind that we can use automated internal emails with tasks and things based on deal stages.
Cons
  • More reporting features-- they have great ones but more chart options would be great
  • Ability to have the sales team be an owner of a meetings link vs one person but still doing a round robin.
If you are an SMB, startup, or sick of clunky CRMs. HubSpot's Sales Hub makes connecting another tech easy and empowering the sales teams to focus on selling vs manual work. The Hub works amazingly for personalization, reporting, getting meetings set, and so much more! If your team is huge, you can split them up by whatever you need and use playbooks to help train new team members.

I use HubSpot Sales Hub for organizing my sales strategies and managing all my leads. HubSpot offers great tools that can turn my leads into customers of our business and working in a tourist area, we must have the right tools to provide useful emails and advertising that potential customers will be interested in, as well as knowing how to get our current customers interested on the products and travel packages that we put out. It’s great for organizing projects and measuring recurring revenue as well as much more analytics. HubSpot also creates a way for us to send our newsletters and track their progress and know how well they will do with the HubSpot forecast tool, which is amazing for me and my team as the accuracy rate is very high and we are able to predict failure or success and make use of the tracking tools to know how well each project is doing in terms of sales.
  • Automatically collecting clients’ data makes it easy to communicate and solve customer issues that are marketing-related in between projects.
  • Ability to segment our contact directory to send relevant advertising depending on the type of information they like to know about.
  • Customer support is very responsive and makes it easy to navigate through the tools with their help and the guides they provide.
Cons
  • I find the interface to be a bit unorganized and sometimes the information added about projects looks clogged which sometimes makes it difficult to access specific information.
  • Sometimes we have to deal with different currencies because we have clients all over the world but the exchange rate tool is not always accurate, causing us to slow down our work.
HubSpot is easy to use and will offer you essential tools that will improve your market productivity in your industry you will see results and improvement quickly once your company is set up in HubSpot, as well as providing the right tools to measure win rates, annual revenue, and profit.
