I would say that Hubspot Sales is unique although not entirely. As a lead generation/analysis tool it really stand alone as far as I am concerned. The integration potential is not as good as Marketo and the prospect outreach lacks compared to outreach but for the marketing/sales side of things. Its number 1.

I would [say] HubSpot is on par on many things. It works well, is easy to use and is priced similar to other products on the market today. Again someone might want to consider another product for a more outbound way of selling.

HubSpot's tools, ease of use and feature set is fantastic. The all-in-one solution with a solid API tipped us over the edge. Being able to focus less on integration costs and time with other systems allowed us to concentrate on deploying HubSpot and training our company to use it without the technical glitches and complexity of using several products that did not natively work with each other.

We selected HubSpot sales not just for the price point vs offering ratio, but also for the integration capabilities, ease of use, scalability, UI, and report visuals. Our employees actually LIKE using HubSpot, and so we have good data instead of an expensive system that does no good unused.

  • Streak
I used Streak briefly, but switched back to Hubspot, mainly because Hubspot does a great job giving you templates to start with for almost ALL of their features (as opposed to Streak, where you mostly have to build your own templates from scratch).

I would use Streak if I was a one-person sales team, as it is fairly seamless to use for a Gmail user, but with 5+ people at my company doing sales, I find Hubspot to be SO much easier for sharing templates, sales approaches, leads, and email conversations.

To compare all of these tools is to discount the functionality of each individual platform. Essentially they each provide value in different areas. In this case, HubSpot sales was selected in conjunction with each of the platforms we use including ZoomInfo, InsideView, and InsideSales.HubSpot certainly shines in terms of analytics and how a prospect interacts with your email content, and has a much cleaner and classy interface.

At that time when we started using Hubspot, Pipedrive didn't have all the features we needed, so we decided to go with Hubspot. We have been using Pipedrive before and it was good but had a limited set of tools. Hubspot offers a much better toolset.

HubSpot Sales had the features we wanted at a very cost effective price. Some of the other options have a heavier admin burden, and as a small shop, we needed to minimize admin overhead as much as possible. Also, the integration into GSuite/Gmail is super easy, and has been a huge win for our team.

We used dynamics for a couple of years prior to implementing HubSpot. I was not involved with the selection or usage of dynamics, but I have been told that we had constant issues with "glitches" that needed paid tech support to solve. We have not had any such issues with HubSpot since our implementation over 2 years ago.

HubSpot Sales is great in terms of functionality and the abilities it offers. However, Capsule CRM and Pipedrive offer almost the same abilities to its users at a fraction of the cost. Where HubSpot Sales wins in design, look and feel and ease of integration, Pipedrive and Capsule win in their cost flexibility. Unlike HubSpot you aren't locked in for 12 months. Salesforce of course is the most popular and flexible (in terms of features) service out of all of these, but is also one of the most complex for small-medium sized businesses as well as the most expensive. Weigh your priorities and your budget before picking any of these options.

Outreach has more robustness as a dedicated tool for managing marketing/sales email sequences, but the fact that it's not as tightly integrated to CRM as we would've liked still makes Hubspot a better overall solution. I think my previous remarks speak to my opinion of Salesforce -- not a fan compared to Hubspot.

I have used Salesforce Sales Cloud extensively. It still remains the absolute gold standard for CRM. There are hundreds of companies who have built solutions to plug into it, most sales reps will be familiar with using it, and it really is great. If you are a medium sized business and on the fence, consider if you will use Sales Cloud you need someone to be a full-time sales admin/developer (to get the most out of customising) as well as full-time sales operations - to manage process and data analysis. Trying to this on a shoestring would be very silly. HubSpot is a fantastic program your business can grow with for years and the huge plus is when you decide to move to Salesforce, your HubSpot data is exportable and would make that possible.

When I was looking for something for my personal use I looked and evaluated the following:
SalesforceIQ - WAAAAAY too expensive for what it is and the CRM functionality is total rubbish - would NOT recommend this as a CRM OR as an email tracking tool bolt on to Salesforce
Google ProsperWorks - integrates nicely with GSuite, not sure about Outlook. I felt it didn't have the functionality I wanted and the price point wasn't there.
Zoho - too complicated to setup and too simple to be helpful, didn't use extensively but didn't like almost immediately

At the end of the day, HubSpot Sales is fully integrated with the marketing efforts as well, which made the transition seamless for the contact and makes the handoff between the sales and marketing teams as smooth as it can possibly be. There is virtually no way for a contact to tell where sales and marketing are separated and allows them to feel fully engaged throughout the entire process.

They had a really interesting functionality that allows reps to change certain words/sections with smart content or custom values with just a few clicks. Ultimately though they are more expensive and yet another application we had to implement in our suit of sales/marketing tools. We prefer sticking with one vendor if at all possible.

We actually use or have used pieces of Engagio (still using for ABM), ClearSlide and Intercom but we ended up migrating all of our team members to HubSpot sales because it covered all of our needs (email tracking, document tracking, etc.) and more - like scheduling meetings with the meetings feature. It's clean and easy to use and there's plenty of training available!

We selected HubSpot Sales over the other options for a variety of reasons:

1. Just the right combination of features & functions that we turn on & use right away - extended training, setup, testing, etc were not required
2. Priced just right
3. Well integrated to our HubSpot Inbound Marketing platform
4. Simple to use - especially the new mobile app
