It has addressed data safety challenges that lead to huge losses when it enters in an organization. It provides large and effective cloud servers that cares for our workloads with great backup system. It transfers files from our servers to various departments across our company at a reliable speed under secure networking environment.

This product ensures that there is reliable and affordable cost[s] for all data storage servers. During maintenance and customization processes, no data is lost from our storage disks since there is always standby backup platform that is reliable. This tool is suitable to all levels of data breakdown and easily allocates IOPS for all workloads.

IBM Cloud File Store is my group's preferred way to store files in the cloud. Real-time access to open any files stored in the cloud is huge for our different remote teams working all across the globe. This allows us to communicate and collaborate quicker with each other for any matters that are handled internally.
Pros and Cons
  • Real-time access to live documents in the cloud.
  • Easy to use UI for anyone.
  • Very secure that enables trust in cloud uploads of important documents.
  • Lag time in file uploads/downloads is difficult.
  • Finding certain files can be difficult due to per search functionality.
  • Storage is limited.
Likelihood to Recommend
This software is always updating to be mindful of potential security threats that exist out there. Knowing our data is secure, we feel comfortable using IBM Cloud File Storage to collaborate globally and provide access to internal information across the globe. It is very easy to use; thus no real training is needed for users - huge for a remote team.

Storage of our files in cloud servers and security of our data has been made better by IBM Cloud File Storage. The products provide large storage volumes that easily enhance better storage systems of our documents. It monitors the transfer of files from our cloud servers to and from our servers and ensures that it follows the right network protocols.

Encryption and access to any information that is stored in our cloud servers are very secure and easily accessible by authorized parties. We use IBM Cloud Storage to store static files like images. We also have a dedicated server within IBM to host dynamic content. That helps to serve static content more effectively, scale, and have backups.

  • It is connected to other IBM services. I think it should be a separate entity.
  • It lacks functionality compared to competitors like Amazon S3.
