I am testing it. Building backup servers and clients and virtual tape libraries on both x86 and ppc infrastructures.
  • build servers in Power PC architecture (ppc)
  • take advantage of IBM datacenters infrastructure around the world
  • continue to use your apps running on AIX
  • browser interface. a little slow and not many features as Azure has
  • better information displayed on web interface. sometimes it does not return an error when it does not create the service.
  • current ibm i OS images are not the lastest (not all fixes and patches are applied)
well suited for those who want to use powerpc (ppc) architecture, or already have servers running on ibm cloud. less suited for regular x86 vms running windows or linux, as there are competitors with a better interface.

It is now being utilized as an inbound reverse proxy for DNS name resolution, TLS endpoints, traffic metrics, intrusion detection, source IP address limitation, and other firewall capabilities through IBM Cloud Internet Services. In addition, using DNS name resolution as a technique of intercepting and proxying requests is not always necessary or acceptable in some situations.
  • No restrictions on the source IP address can be applied.
  • Intrusion detection is supported by this software.
  • Request proxying uses inflexible DNS name resolution.
  • Proxies cannot function with wildcard DNS.
  • Friendly and straightforward installation directions.
In terms of business challenges, it simplifies the job of my engineers and significantly increases the productivity of my teams when they collaborate with IBM teams all over the world. Now that we have completed a proof-of-concept using the services supplied by IBM, we expect it to assist us in managing them more efficiently; thus far, management has been straightforward.

IBM Cloud Internet Services is so far the best problem solver when it comes to providing security for any applications if someone is planning to combine their apps with other IBM app platforms. It is used by my department. Its UI is very interactive and easy to use, plus its security is reliable. I liked its smooth access without interruptions and good data retrieval speed.
  • Firewall protection
  • App accessibility
  • No interruptions in access with well spread data centers
  • Add more features to UI
  • Easy installation
  • Better price plans
IBM Cloud Internet Services are easy and accessible with good overall security so one should not worry about leaks. I would suggest [this product] the UI of IBM Cloud Internet Services [because it] is more user friendly than everyone and not just the trained professionals [which] will be able to operate it without any hassles.

IBM Cloud is being used by our organization to deploy and manage applications which mainly utilize IBM Watson services such as the Natural Language Classifier and Watson Assistant. We also use IBM Cloud to deploy applications that make use of CouchDB databases through IBM Cloudant. Through IBM Cloud Internet Services, we have been able to ensure that these applications are properly protected from external attacks.
  • Integration with IBM Cloud applications
  • Easy to manage web application firewall
  • Ease of protecting CloudFoundry applications
  • Good console UI
  • Protection for rare managed service offerings such as CouchDB through IBM Cloudant
  • Pricey
  • Weak Identity and Access Management
IBM Cloud Internet Services is the best solution to provide security for your applications if you plan to integrate your applications with IBM Watson Services such as the Natural Language Classifier, Text-to-Speech, Speech-to-Text, Watson Assistant etc. These services are very easy to integrate and manage through IBM Cloud, and in turn, have out-of-the-box configurations for security provided by IBM Cloud Internet Services. It is not the best security solution to use if your applications are running on other cloud infrastructure providers' platforms.

IBM Cloud Internet Services is being used for hosting DNS and to secure internet-facing applications from data theft.
  • Improving performance with a few changes is easy.
  • Didn't fail protection.
IBM Cloud Internet is good for providing fast and secure internet services and has an additional capability that searches through web instances to identify suspicious activity. One of the drawbacks of most cloud services is reliability and security, but I don't think this is an issue with IBM.

IBM Cloud Internet Services are being used for the storage of documents on the cloud repository. It is also used as a solution that has the ability to provide security for web properties. It is being used by multiple departments in the organization. It solves the problem of having a secure and globally accessible storage repository. Different options and plans offered help the IT department to best manage these services for the organization.
  • Ease of accessibility.
  • High performance experience for end-users.
  • Dependent on a Chrome browser for good performance.
  • Page rule setting difficulties.
IBM Cloud Internet Services is well suited for the global organization looking for a secure yet flexible cloud solution. In my experience, it could be difficult for mid-sized organizations due to pricing constraints.

IBM Cloud Internet Services is currently used as an inbound reverse proxy for DNS name resolution, TLS endpoint, traffic metrics, intrusion detection, source IP address limiting, and other firewall features.

In both single- and multi-tenant scenarios, IBM Cloud Internet Services is provisioned once per IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service cluster (one cluster per single- or multi-tenant solution).
  • Supports source IP address limiting.
  • Supports intrusion detection.
  • Request proxying is done by way of DNS name resolution, which is inflexible.
  • Proxy services do not work on wildcard DNS entries.
The UI is a bit clunky and requiring DNS name resolution as a method for intercepting and proxying requests is not always appropriate.

For example, if we wanted to have regional application instances with domains/hostnames that include the region details (e.g., tor01.example.com, wdc01.example.com), but wanted to hide the region-specific implementations from end-users, typically one would use CNAME DNS records (e.g., myapp.example.com) to hide the underlying A DNS records. However, IBM Cloud Internet Services does not support the use of CNAME records unless the destination is not proxied.

[Note: reviewer is using a trial version] In the company where I work, we have applications in several public and private clouds from different providers, for purposes of centralizing the administration of the same applications. We are evaluating IBM Cloud Services, so that this is not a headache and there is a single manager for all these clouds solutions. At the moment we are conducting a proof of concept with the services provided by IBM and we hope it will help us quickly in the management of them, so far the management is simple.
  • Protection against online threats.
  • Domain management through IBM's intuitive interface.
  • Prevents interruptions caused by harmful traffic, while allowing good traffic, keeping websites, applications and APIs highly available and high performance.
  • Installation guides that are more friendly and simple
  • Clearer messages for the installation processes
One of the services for which we use and recommend cloud [solutions] in my company is in e-commerce applications since it helps us to upload information, share and scale resources easily and internally it helps us to incur economic savings.

My team of 240 engineers use it on daily basis to work on IBM projects with several IBM team worldwide. It is not used across the whole company but in my IBM team. In terms of business problems, it facilitates work of my engineers and greatly enhances productivity to work with IBM teams world wide.
  • User friendly
  • Well supported
  • Good speed because of spread of Data Centers world wide
  • Proper testing
  • Customer Service
  • User friendly
Well suited to work collabortively with several IBM teams world wide and across several non IBM teams as well as business partners.

We use IBM Cloud on a production basis, addressing data collected from IOT devices/smartphones and algorithm computing to deliver car driving quality scoring for any motorist. It is used by our back end development team. We deliver real time data analytics to make the roads cleaner and safer.
  • Scalability
  • High availability
  • Local data centers allowing to fulfill customer’s data privacy policies
  • Pricing model
  • Ability to purchase online directly from IBM (vs corporate wholesaler)
Suits the needs of large account businesses. Not appropriate for small companies or startups as final customers (complexity)
