The implementation of this software took place as we planned. The performance time taken for full functionality was very reliable with positive results. The customer support team was the best team I have ever met in my career experience. They are always with timely responses when reached to offer any help.

I helped a customer with a problem to create a VPN site to site in its VPC. Helped him to check the configuration and get in touch with IBM Support. Seems to be a specific issue related [to] Fortigate. The IBM support could not help too much in the first moment. I think the issue [is] still happening.

The implementation of the VPCs was seemless. All the components worked according to their function. This was also done quickly, and without needing a lot of administrative support. By gaining support from IBM as well, this gave us the expert administrative support we needed and did not have to burden our own departments.

I gave the highest on the scale of 10 out of 10 for implementation experience with IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with my satisfaction with the service and support I and my whole organization received during deployment. And, yes, all went timely and smoothly in all aspects. I am well satisfied.

Most of IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) was smooth in terms of implementation. Connecting to a Windows server running in IBM Cloud was one area that could have been simpler. The support team was responsive when we had questions. OpenShift, however, did not go as smoothly. The documentation between IBM Cloud, OpenShift and IBM Cloud Pak for Automation were inconsistent. It seemed like the documentation was disjointed and not updated for different versions.

The implementation of IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) machines was 100% smooth, and in case there were technical problems, IBM support colleagues did a great job resolving the issues. As this support team is distributed across the world, you get great 24/7 support whenever you need it. Especially in overnight sessions, this availability is very useful.

It was generally pretty easy to configure things for a PoC through the web interface. Later I moved to managing it through the CLI and making the application automatically manage it through the API, and everything went smoothly. The only downside was a lack of customization in some instance details, e.g. the boot disk size and speed aren't changeable, and some datacenters inexplicably won't allow you to create instances through the web interface.

The documentation is complex and it was difficult to browse and search. It makes you rethink purchasing extra support. I finally got it working, but took more time than we originally planned. Due to the lack of documentation, we chose a service that was overkill for what we were trying to accomplish, so later on we had to migrate to the smaller version of it, but I have to say we had the same problem on AWS.

Did not have any problems deploying on VPC other than the limited selection of Linux distros. We use CentOS and version 8 is not available at the time of this writing although it has been out for more than a year.

IBM Cloud Professional Services clearly know what they are doing, and although ultimately we completed our own proof of concept as a learning exercise for ourselves, I value their input and the opportunity to discuss architecture with them, bounce ideas off them, and generally their their advice and help with our implementation.
