Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why
I selected IBM Flash System 7200 because it is affordable, efficient, reliable and easy to use. It does not have complicated functionalities and it is very fast and stores data in a safe manner. IBM Flash System also has an on premise to hybrid cloud functionality which enables our organization to switch between the two storage options whenever suitable[.]
So it is a comparison in IBM vs IBM but the capacity and working speed of IBM 7200 is far better and swift in comparison to IBM 5000 Flash System. IBM Flash System 5000 was average or below average ion low latency and compression but on the contrary, IBM 7200 is excellent in these two functions along with all other functions assigned to it.
Because the features of IBM FlashSytem 7200 are really incredibly awesome. The advantages including end-to-end NVMe, Storage Management, IBM Spectrum Virtualize Features, and others are really outstanding. Therefore we selected the IBM FlashSystem 7200 for our Business and we are really satisfied now. This platform is really flexible, scalable, powerful, and reliable.
Not compared against others.
The adoption of FlashSystem systems is due to the already understood capabilities of IBM storage systems and their constant evolution, presenting more and more improvements in capacity, performance, technology. Previously we used Storwize V7000 Storage systems and the change has been made due to the obsolescence of the previous platform.
Compared to the 5000 model the 7200 is relatively cheap and does not require modern IT infrastructure but the performance of 7200 is good and it is very reliable in terms of its performance, and both the models are quite good but the interphase of 5000 can be very tricky at times.
We have selected IBM flash storage because it is one of the most branded hardware which gives the best performance.
We ended up shifting from the IBM Storwize v7000 platform to the NetApp AFF platform and have been extremely pleased by the performance, cost, and efficiency thus far. The systems certainly have similarities but the NetApp AFF has met all of our expectations thus far and making changes to the storage being presented (i.e. growing a volume) is much more straightforward on our AFF system.
The trust we have in the IBM brand has come from decades of using IBM products. At some points, the amount you pay for the cost of the product does not make any sense in the face of the quality of the service you provide. The most important issue is to do the job in the right quality and continuously. IBM FlashSystem 7200 fits perfectly with our agreement.
Performance and accesses of IBM FlashSystem were slightly fast when compared to its closest competition. IBM Flash System also seamlessly ports data into hybrid cloud storage very conveniently when compared to others. So I can say it is a good product with almost all the features and certainly gives a tough competition when priced right.
The IBM product line is by far the safest way to go in my opinion. IBM will help from the beginning driving down costs and providing you the best technology on the market. The new firmware continues to update as needed and the latest GUI is easy to navigate between.
We leveraged our enterprise relationship with IBM in order to achieve favorable pricing and support plans for the FlashSystem 7200. Pure Storage would be a new partner for us and an unknown. We wanted to do something quickly with a known partner so IBM FlashSystem 7200 just became the default choice for us.
It is reliable and powerful.
This is a more affordable option compared to some of the higher-level storage, and it takes much less of a footprint than say an Infinibox system. This is giving your company power savings and physical space options as well. The V7000 is easily installed by on-site infrastructure teams whereas some of the more complex systems require site visits for any installations or new systems.
We use IBM SVC, FlashSystems, and XIV family are the primary tiers of storage with V7K tier for backup targets and small scale one-offs.
IBM Storwize V7000 stacked up against its competitor's thanks to costs, usage, and growth.
- You can combine different Storwize family members to virtualize and to replicate.
- You can use its virtualization capability to virtualize your existing storage boxes until their end of use. After that it is very easy to migrate all data to V7000 natively.
The IBM FlashSystem 7200 (formerly Storwize 7000) is an all-flash storage array. It is scaled for enterprises in need of mid-range storage, and is built to support multicloud technologies.
